Claims (13)
- 被検体の第1の領域を撮像して得られる第1の画像と、前記被検体の第2の領域を撮像して得られる第2の画像とを隣り合わせて配置した1フレームの画像を構成する画像構成部と、
前記1フレームの画像の明るさ評価結果に基づいた明るさの照明光を前記第1及び第2の領域に出射する光源部と、
前記1フレームの画像に含まれる前記第1の画像における最小輝度値および最大輝度値を検出するとともに、前記1フレームの画像に含まれる前記第2の画像における最小輝度値および最大輝度値を検出する輝度検出部と、
前記第1の画像と前記第2の画像とのうち、前記最大輝度値と前記最小輝度値との差分である輝度レンジが、所定の輝度上限値と所定の輝度下限値との差分で定義される所定の輝度範囲より大きいか否かを判定し、前記第1の画像と前記第2の画像とのうち、前記輝度レンジが前記所定の輝度範囲よりも小さいと判定された画像の前記最小輝度値が前記所定の輝度下限値と一致するように、または前記画像の前記最大輝度値が前記所定の輝度上限値と一致するように輝度シフト処理を行う画像処理部と、
を備えることを特徴とする内視鏡システム。 - 前記画像処理部は、所定の階調変換曲線に従った階調変換処理をさらに実行可能であり、前記1フレームの画像に含まれる前記第1の画像および前記第2の画像のうち前記所定の輝度範囲内に収まっていない画像について、前記階調変換処理を行うことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内視鏡システム。
- 前記画像処理部は、前記所定の階調変換曲線として、前記最小輝度値が適正下限輝度値に変換され、前記最大輝度値が適正上限輝度値に変換され、前記最小輝度値と前記最大輝度値との間の輝度値が前記適正下限輝度値と前記適正上限輝度値との間の輝度値に単調増加で変換されるような階調変換曲線により階調変換を行うことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の内視鏡システム。
- 前記第1の画像および前記第2の画像を構成する画素の前記最小輝度値をAmin、前記最大輝度値をAmax、前記適正下限輝度値をXmin、前記適正上限輝度値をXmaxとしたときに、前記画像処理部は、入力輝度値Yinに対して、次の数式

を適用することにより出力輝度値Youtに階調変換することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の内視鏡システム。 - 前記画像処理部は、所定の上閾値以上の輝度値の画素、および所定の下閾値以下の輝度値の画素については、前記輝度値の調整を行わないことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内視鏡システム。
- 前記画像処理部は、前記第1の画像と前記第2の画像との境界を構成する画素については、前記輝度シフト処理および前記階調変換処理の対象外とすることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の内視鏡システム。
- 前記第1の画像は、前記被検体の内部に挿入される挿入部に設けられ、前記挿入部の長手方向に沿った前方を含む前記被検体の前記第1の領域を撮像する第1の被検体像取得部により取得され、
前記第2の画像は、前記挿入部の長手方向に交差する側方を含む前記被検体の前記第2の領域を撮像する第2の被検体像取得部により取得されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内視鏡システム。 - 前記画像処理部により処理された画像に基づき、表示部に表示させるための表示信号を生成する画像出力部をさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内視鏡システム。
- 前記第2の被検体像取得部は、前記挿入部の周方向の複数の角度位置に複数配置されており、
前記画像構成部は、前記第1の画像を中心に、複数の前記第2の画像を前記第1の画像の周方向の前記複数の角度位置にそれぞれ配置して前記1フレームの画像を構成することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の内視鏡システム。 - 前記被検体の内部に挿入される挿入部と、
前記挿入部の先端部に前方を向けて配置され、前記被検体の前記第1の領域を撮像する第1の被検体像取得部と、
前記挿入部の周面部に、周方向の所定の角度範囲の像を取得可能に配置され、前記第1の領域とは異なる前記被検体の前記第2の領域を撮像する第2の被検体像取得部と、
をさらに備え、
前記画像構成部は、円形状に前記第1の画像を構成するとともに、前記第1の画像の周囲を囲む円環における前記所定の角度範囲の形状となるよう前記第2の画像を配置して前記1フレームの画像を構成することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の内視鏡システム。 - 前記第1の被検体像取得部は、前記第1の領域の像を光電変換して第1の撮像信号を生成する第1の撮像部を含み、
前記第2の被検体像取得部は、前記第2の領域の像を光電変換して第2の撮像信号を生成するものであって、前記第1の撮像部とは別体の第2の撮像部を含み、
前記第1の撮像部と前記第2の撮像部とは、前記画像構成部に電気的に接続されていることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の内視鏡システム。 - 前記第1の被検体像取得部と前記第2の被検体像取得部とは1つの撮像部を兼用して含み、前記第1の領域の像は前記撮像部の一部に結像して第1の撮像信号が生成され、前記第2の領域の像は前記撮像部の他の一部に結像して第2の撮像信号が生成され、

前記挿入部に設けられた第2の被検体像取得部が、前記第2の領域を撮像するステップと、
画像構成部が、前記第1の被検体像取得部により撮像された第1の画像と、前記第2の被検体像取得部により撮像された第2の画像とを隣り合わせて配置して1フレームの画像を構成するステップと、
光源部が、前記1フレームの1フレームの画像の明るさ評価結果に基づいた明るさの照明光を前記第1及び第2の領域に出射するステップと、
輝度検出部が、前記1フレームの画像に含まれる前記第1の画像における最小輝度値および最大輝度値を検出するとともに、前記1フレームの画像に含まれる前記第2の画像における最小輝度値および最大輝度値を検出するステップと、
画像処理部が、前記第1の画像と前記第2の画像とのうち、前記最大輝度値と前記最小輝度値との差分である輝度レンジが、所定の輝度上限値と所定の輝度下限値との差分で定義される所定の輝度範囲より大きいか否かを判定し、前記第1の画像と前記第2の画像とのうち、前記輝度レンジが前記所定の輝度範囲よりも小さいと判定された画像の前記最小輝度値が前記所定の輝度下限値と一致するように、または前記画像の前記最大輝度値が前記所定の輝度上限値と一致するように輝度シフト処理を行うステップと、
