Description
Claims (6)
- 第1の方向に配列された入力ポート及び出力ポートを含む入出力ポートと、
前記入力ポートから入力された光信号を波長に応じて前記第1の方向に直交する第2の方向に分光することにより、波長で特徴付けられた複数の光信号を生成する分光素子と、
ピクセル化されて前記第1の方向に配列された複数の光偏向要素素子によって、前記波長で特徴付けられた光信号のそれぞれを独立して位相変調し、前記波長で特徴付けられた光信号のそれぞれを前記出力ポートに向けて偏向する光偏向素子と、
前記光偏向素子における前記波長で特徴付けられた光信号のビームスポットを前記第2の方向よりも前記第1の方向に相対的に大きな扁平状に変換するアナモルフィック変換器と、
を備え、
前記光偏向素子における前記第1の方向についての位相変調パターンは、前記波長で特徴付けられた光信号の光路を制御するための第1のパターンに対して、前記第1のパターンと異なる第2のパターンを重畳して構成されており、
前記出力ポートは、光ファイバとマイクロレンズとの組み合わせからなり、
前記第2のパターンは、前記第1の方向において、前記マイクロレンズと前記アナモルフィック変換器との間における光信号のビームウエスト位置を、当該光信号の前記光ファイバへの光結合効率が最大となる位置よりも前記マイクロレンズ側に位置させるようなパターンである、
ことを特徴とする光路制御装置。 - 前記光偏向素子は、前記波長で特徴付けられた光信号の前記第2の方向におけるビームウエスト位置に配置されており、
前記第2のパターンは、前記第1の方向において前記波長で特徴付けられた光信号の収差を制御するためのパターンである、
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光路制御装置。 - 前記第2のパターンを調整して前記第1の方向における光信号のビームウエスト位置を変更すると共に、前記第1のパターンを調整して光信号の光路を変更することにより、光信号の前記出力ポートへの光結合効率の減衰量を制御する制御部をさらに備える、ことを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の光路制御装置。
- 光偏向素子は、前記第1及び第2の方向に沿って二次元アレイ状に配列された複数の画素を有する液晶素子、又は、前記第1及び第2の方向に沿って二次元アレイ状に配列された複数の画素を有するMEMS素子であり、前記画素のそれぞれに印加する電圧に応じて前記位相変調パターンを制御可能に構成されている、ことを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の光路制御装置。
- 前記分光素子の後段に配置され、前記第2の方向のみに光パワーを有する光パワーエレメントをさらに備え、
前記アナモルフィック変換器は、前記分光素子の前段に配置されている、
ことを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の光路制御装置。 - 前記分光素子の後段に配置され、前記第1及び第2の方向に光パワーを有する光パワーエレメントをさらに備え、
前記アナモルフィック変換器は、前記分光素子の前段に配置された少なくとも3つのシリンドリカルレンズから構成されており、
アナモルフィック変換器を構成する前記シリンドリカルレンズのうちの2つの前記シリンドリカルレンズは、前記第1の方向に光パワーを有しており、
アナモルフィック変換器を構成する前記シリンドリカルレンズのうちの他の1つの前記シリンドリカルレンズは、前記第2の方向に光パワーを有している、
ことを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の光路制御装置。
