固定具12Aは、ナット12Fを挿入保持する断面略コ字形状のナット挿入レール部12Dを有し、このナット保持部から略L字状に対向する縦壁11Cの内側の側面に近接させた突出部112Aを有する。
突出部112Aは、中空部12Eを2つ有する略日字形状になっている。
それぞれのビーム本体部の中空部11Dに対応して、固定具12Aをビーム本体部11Aの断面開口端部から挿入し、図17に示すようにビーム本体部11Aの裏面からリベット21Aを取付孔11Gを介して固定具12Aの締結孔12Cに挿入、リベット締めする。
次に車両フレーム側の取付部材であるステイ部材5からボルトからなる連結部材5aを取付孔11Fに挿入し、さらにボルトの先を固定具12Aのボルト孔12Bを介してナット12Fにボルト締めする。
その断面構造を図19(a)に示す。

ビーム部材のビーム本体部はアルミ押出材で製作された上下の横壁と前後の縦壁とからなる中空断面形状からなり、
前記横壁と縦壁との内側各コーナー部の全長にわたって凹部形状のビスホールを有し、
前記ビーム本体部の縦壁内側にナットを配置するための固定具を前記上下のビスホールに沿って挿入し、
車両フレーム側の取付部からボルトを挿通し、前記ナットに螺合することでビーム部材を車両フレームに取り付け、前記ビーム本体部の端部に端末カバー部材が前記ビスホールを用いてビスにより取り付けられていることを特徴とするビーム部材。
