B)特定のpH範囲でカチオン性であり、そのまま又は処理浴の濃度に希釈される濃縮物としての第1の界面活性剤の供給源;
C)B)とは異なる、少なくとも1つの非イオン性界面活性剤の供給源、
を含むか、又はA)〜C)から基本的に構成されるか、又はA)〜C)から成り、前記特定のpH範囲は一般的には前記水性組成物によって形成される処理浴のpH範囲である。
D)フッ化物アニオン;
E)pHを6.75以下に調整するのに十分な量のpH調整剤;及び、
F)フッ化物捕捉剤、

b)特定のpH範囲、一般的には水性組成物によって形成される処理浴のpH範囲でカチオン性であり、そのまま又は処理浴の濃度に希釈される濃縮物としての第1の界面活性剤の供給源と;
第1の界面活性剤とは異なる、少なくとも1つの非イオン性界面活性剤の供給源と
を含む、界面活性剤の組み合わせ;及び、
c)任意に含ませてもよいキレート化剤及び/又はその他の添加剤、
を含む組成物を充分な時間接触させる工程;並びに、
3)金属前処理皮膜を施した金属基材に塗料を任意に塗布する工程、

CH3(CH2)n(CH2CH2O)m(CH2CHCH3O)pH、式中n=2〜10、m=2〜20、p=2〜11
の非イオン性界面活性剤等が挙げられる。
前処理浴の調製:
手順:表中において特に記述されていない限り、1重量%H2ZrF6、2.5重量%構成成分B)、及び1重量%構成成分C)を含有する濃縮物を調製した。濃縮物の安定性について試験した。
比較例1’として、実施例1に従って別の一式の板を作製し、酸化ジルコニウム析出前処理浴は、100oFの低温に維持した。表4に、洗浄無しで配合0の界面活性剤非含有組成物、及び酸化ジルコニウムの成膜前にヘンケル社(Henkel Corporation)から市販されているアルカリ洗浄剤であるRidoline RT180を用いて洗浄した比較例と比較して、アルカリ洗浄無しで塗布した配合13の洗浄剤/コーティング剤の組成物の性能を示す。
以下の表5に記載のように変更し、実施例1の手順に従って別の一式の板を作製した。前洗浄無しで冷間圧延鋼上にリン酸鉄を析出させる比較の洗浄剤/コーティング剤を用いて、板を表5に記載のように処理した。全ての板を乾燥し、次に、各々の前処理剤に対して、2枚の板を、各々異なる市販の粉体塗料を用いて製造者の指示に従って塗装した。その後、板に対して、ASTM B−117(2008)の工業規格耐食性試験に従って塩水噴霧試験を行った。ASTM B−117は耐食性を測定するものであることから、試験結果のより低い数値が良好な性能を示す。表5に、前洗浄の有無でリン酸鉄の洗浄剤/コーティング剤、及び酸化ジルコニウムの成膜前にヘンケル社から市販されているアルカリ洗浄剤であるRIDOLINE(登録商標)RT180を用いて洗浄した界面活性剤非含有酸化ジルコニウム成膜組成物と比較して、アルカリ洗浄無しで塗布した本発明の種々の洗浄剤/コーティング剤の組成物の性能を示す。界面活性剤の特定の組み合わせ(カチオン性又は両性の界面活性剤と非イオン性界面活性剤)は、安定な濃縮物を与えただけでなく、驚くべきことに、ジルコニウムの成膜も顕著に増加し、いくつかの場合では、CRS上の、ポリマーシールを有する標準的なリン酸鉄及び市販のジルコニウム系化成皮膜と比較した場合に、非常に改善された耐食性能を示した。
Claims (13)
- 酸化ジルコニウム化成皮膜を形成するための水性組成物であって、水、及び以下の構成:
A)溶解ジルコニウムの供給源;
B)特定のpH範囲でカチオン性である少なくとも1つの第1の界面活性剤の供給源;
C)B)とは異なる、少なくとも1つの非イオン性界面活性剤の供給源、
を含み、前記特定のpH範囲は前記水性組成物によって形成される処理浴のpH範囲である、水性組成物であって、
但し、バナジウム化合物を含まない、単一工程で洗浄工程及び酸化ジルコニウム化成皮膜形成工程を実施する用途にて使用される前記水性組成物。 - 前記少なくとも1つの第1の界面活性剤が、窒素、並びに任意にO及びSO3のうち1つ以上を含む界面活性剤を含む、請求項1に記載の水性組成物。
- 構成成分B)が、a.)アミン部分を有する界面活性剤、b.)アミンオキシド部分を有する界面活性剤、又はc.)a.)及びb.)の組み合わせを含む、請求項1又は2に記載の水性組成物。
- さらに:
D)フッ化物アニオン;
E)pHを6.75以下に調整するのに十分な量のpH調整剤;及び、
F)フッ化物捕捉剤、
のうち少なくとも1つを含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の水性組成物。 - 前記特定のpH範囲が酸性であり、少なくとも1つの第1の界面活性剤の前記供給源が、前記特定のpH範囲でプロトン化される界面活性剤を含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の水性組成物。
- 前記特定のpH範囲が酸性であり、前記少なくとも1つの第1の界面活性剤の25重量%から100重量%がプロトン化されている、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の水性組成物。
- 構成成分B)が、1個から20個の炭素原子の分枝鎖状又は非分枝鎖状、環式又は非環式の、アルキル基を有するアルコキシル化アルキルアミン;アルキルアミンオキシド;及びスルタインから選択される少なくとも1つの第1の界面活性剤を含む、請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載の水性組成物。
- 構成成分C)が、C6−20アルキルポリグリコールエーテル、脂肪アミンエトキシレート;アルキルC6−20アルコキシ化ベンゼン系エーテル;エトキシル化C6−20アルコール;EO/POブロックコポリマー;及びアルコキシ化テルペンから選択される、B)とは異なる少なくとも1つの非イオン性界面活性剤を含む、請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載の水性組成物。
- 酸化ジルコニウム化成皮膜を形成するための水性濃縮組成物であって:
A)溶解ジルコニウムの供給源を0.5重量%から20重量%;
B)少なくとも1つの第1の界面活性剤の供給源を1.5重量%から50重量%;
C)B)とは異なる、少なくとも1つの非イオン性界面活性剤の供給源を0.5重量%から20重量%;
含み、前記溶解ジルコニウムの供給源は、フッ化ジルコニウム酸を含み、前記濃縮物は、少なくとも3ヶ月間は室温で貯蔵安定性を有する、水性濃縮組成物であって、
但し、バナジウム化合物を含まない、単一工程で洗浄工程及び酸化ジルコニウム化成皮膜形成工程を実施する用途にて使用される前記水性濃縮組成物。 - 酸化ジルコニウム化成皮膜形成工程にて酸化ジルコニウム析出化成コーティング浴の成膜速度を高める方法であって、前記酸化ジルコニウム析出化成コーティング浴に、請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載の組成物を含有させることを含み、且つ、単一工程で洗浄工程及び酸化ジルコニウム化成皮膜形成工程を実施する方法。
- 酸化ジルコニウム化成皮膜形成工程にて酸化ジルコニウム析出化成コーティング浴の成膜速度を高める方法であって:
1)鉄系金属、亜鉛、亜鉛合金、アルミニウム、アルミニウム合金、及びこれらの組み合わせから選択される金属表面を有する金属基材を準備する工程;
2)前記表面を:
a.50ppmから1000ppmの溶解Zr、0ppmから50ppmの溶解Cu、0ppmから100ppmのSiO2、50ppmから2000ppmの全フッ化物、10ppmから120ppmの遊離フッ化物を含むジルコニウム系金属前処理コーティング組成物;及び、
b.前記酸化ジルコニウム析出化成コーティング浴のpH範囲でカチオン性である第1の界面活性剤の供給源;
前記第1の界面活性剤とは異なる、少なくとも1つの非イオン性界面活性剤の供給源;
を含む、界面活性剤の組み合わせ;及び、
c.任意に含ませてもよいキレート化剤及び/又はその他の添加剤、
を含む酸化ジルコニウム析出化成コーティング浴に、前記金属基材上に特定の厚さを有する酸化ジルコニウム含有前処理皮膜を形成するのに充分な時間接触させる工程;並びに、
3)前記金属前処理皮膜を施した金属基材に塗料を任意に塗布する工程、
を含み、工程2)の前記時間は、b)の非存在下であってc)の存在下で、a)と接触させることによって前記金属基材上に前記特定の厚さを有する別の酸化ジルコニウム含有前処理皮膜を形成するのに必要な時間よりも短い、方法であって、
但し、前記酸化ジルコニウム析出化成コーティング浴は、バナジウム化合物を含まず、且つ、単一工程で洗浄工程及び酸化ジルコニウム化成皮膜形成工程を実施する前記方法。 - 工程2)が、中間洗浄工程無しで工程1)に続いて行われる、請求項12に記載の方法。
