Description
本発明は、前記課題を解決した骨欠損部充填材料を提供することを目的とする。
本発明の骨欠損部充填材料1について、長管骨4の中間部が完全に欠損して2つの部分に分かれている場合で、螺旋状の骨欠損部充填材料1を用いて、骨欠損を修復する例を、図1に示す。本例では、棒状の固定材2を用いて、当該螺旋状の骨欠損部充填材料1を適用部位の骨に締結する。前記の通り、骨欠損部5とほぼ同程度の外径を有する螺旋状の骨欠損部充填材料1において、その素材、ばね指数およびピッチ角を設定することで、欠損した骨の可撓性より5〜25%高い可撓性を有するように調整する。その螺旋状の骨欠損部充填材料1を固定するために、棒状の固定材2を長管骨4の両端の海綿質部分に挿入して、当該螺旋状の骨欠損部充填材料を骨欠損部5にあてがう。ここで、図1に示すように、螺旋状の骨欠損部充填材料1が嵌まり込むように、長管骨4の両端の端の外縁部分を削ることも好ましい。
実施例1
[骨欠損部充填材料]
素材:純チタン(品名TW340,神戸製鋼所製)
平均コイル径D:5.8mm
線径d:0.7mm
ピッチ角:7.8°
[固定材]
素材:チタン合金(Ti−6Al−4V,神戸製鋼所製)
外径:1.0mm
[実験動物]
ビーグル犬:雌、1.5〜2.5才、6匹(体重10〜12kg)
上記ビーグル犬6頭、を使用し、全身麻酔下に清潔操作で右の第5,6,7肋骨を露出させ、骨膜を剥離し、それぞれの肋骨の一部を2.5cmにわたり切除した。次に、それぞれの肋骨の切断端において、切断端の肋骨内にチタン棒を約5mm挿入し、人工肋骨となるべきチタンコイルの固定用チタン棒が収まるかどうかを確認した後に、チタンコイルの内側にチタン棒を挿入し、その一端を一つの肋骨の切断端の肋骨内に挿入し、ついでチタン棒他端を切断した他方の肋骨切断端に挿入して、チタン棒で切断した肋骨をつなぐような形にして、切断部にチタンコイルが固定される状態とした。このようにした後に、チタンコイル内に骨髄液、β−TCP、骨細切片、などを注入した。最後に抗生物質をふりかけ、筋肉層で創部を覆い、皮膚縫合を行って手術を終えた。
[経過観察]
術後の観察では顕著な苦痛の表情が見られなかった。

Claims (4)
- 一端と他端とを有する可撓性の筒部と、前記筒部の前記一端および前記他端の各々に設けられた開口部と、前記筒部に囲まれる中空部と、を有し、一端側の開口部と他端側の開口部とが前記中空部により繋がる筒状形状を有し、
長管骨の2つの破断部間に形成された骨欠損部に、前記一端と前記他端とが前記破断部の各々に対して前記骨欠損部から前記長管骨が延在する方向に押圧力を与える骨欠損部充填材料であって、
前記筒部の外径は、前記長管骨の外径と略同一であり、
前記筒部の前記一端は、前記長管骨の一つの破断部に接続され、
前記筒部の前記他端は、前記長管骨の他の一つの破断部に接続され、
前記骨欠損部に所定の長さとして渡されることで、前記破断部に前記押圧力を持続的に与え、
前記筒部が、組織修復材料が前記筒部の外部から前記中空部へ侵入可能な連通部を有し、
前記一端と前記他端との少なくとも一方から受けた応力を、前記筒部が撓むことで前記骨欠損部への応力集中を緩和する、骨欠損部充填材料。 - 前記筒部が、螺旋状に形成される請求項1に記載の骨欠損部充填材料。
- 骨形成因子およびグロスファクターを含む因子、骨親和性物質、結合組織親和性物質、及び生体細胞からなる群より選ばれたいずれか1種以上が被覆、及び/又は、含有される請求項1または請求項2に記載の骨欠損部充填材料。
- 前記骨欠損部充填材料を前記破断部に固定するための、棒、ネジ、プレート及びワイヤーからなる群より選ばれた少なくとも1種以上の固定材を備える請求項1〜請求項3のいずれかに記載の骨欠損部充填材料。
