Description
なお、それぞれの図中、同じ符号を付してあるものについては、特に説明がない限り同一の部材を示しており、適宜説明が省略されている。
1.排気浄化装置の全体構成
図1は、本発明の第1の実施の形態に係る還元剤供給装置20が備えられた排気浄化装置10の全体構成の一例を説明するために示す図である。
排気浄化装置10は、排気中のNOXを浄化するための装置であり、図示しないディーゼルエンジン等の内燃機関の排気通路11に設けられている。排気浄化装置10は、排気通路11の途中に介装された還元触媒13と、還元触媒13よりも上流側の排気通路11内に液体還元剤を供給するための還元剤供給装置20とを備えている。
(1)基本的構成
図1において、還元剤供給装置20は、液体還元剤が収容される貯蔵タンク21と、液体還元剤を圧送するポンプユニット30と、液体還元剤を排気通路11内に噴射する還元剤噴射弁25とを備えている。ポンプユニット30は、ポンプ23及び流路切換弁33を備えている。還元剤噴射弁25、ポンプ23、及び、流路切換弁33は、ECU40によって駆動制御が行われるものとなっている。
なお、貯蔵タンク21にはエアブリザード等が設けられており、内部の圧力が大気圧で保たれるように構成されている。
図2は、本実施形態のECU40のうちの液体還元剤の吸い戻し制御に関連する部分について機能的なブロックで表した構成例を示している。
このECU40は、公知のマイクロコンピュータを中心に構成されたものであり、回収制御指示部41と、流路切換弁制御部43と、ポンプ駆動制御部45と、還元剤噴射弁駆動制御部47と、三方向切換弁駆動制御部49とにより構成されている。具体的に、これらの各部はマイクロコンピュータによるプラグラムの実行によって実現されるものとなっている。
(1)吸い戻し制御の概要
以下、本実施の形態にかかる還元剤供給装置20において、ECU40によって実行される液体還元剤の吸い戻し制御の概要について説明する。
図3は、還元剤噴射弁25の詰まり発生時及び詰まり不発生時それぞれの場合における第2の還元剤通路28内の検出圧力Puの経時変化と、流路切換弁33の駆動状態と、還元剤噴射弁25の駆動状態と、ポンプ23の駆動状態と、三方向切換弁39の駆動状態とをそれぞれ示している。検出圧力Puの径時変化を示すグラフにおいて、実線Aが詰まり不発生時、破線Bが詰まり発生時の検出圧力Puの推移をそれぞれ示している。
次に、ECU40によって実行される液体還元剤の吸い戻し制御の具体例について、図4のフローチャートに基づいて説明する。以下のフローチャートに示される液体還元剤の吸い戻し制御は、内燃機関の停止時において実行されるものとなっている。
以上説明したように、本実施の形態にかかる還元剤供給装置20、及び還元剤供給装置20の制御方法は、内燃機関の停止時に液体還元剤の吸い戻し制御を実行する際に、吸い戻し制御の終了時にポンプ23と貯蔵タンク21とを接続する第1の還元剤通路27を大気開放することとしている。したがって、例えば、還元剤噴射弁25の詰まり等により、第2の還元剤通路28内に過大な負圧が生じていた場合であっても、貯蔵タンク21内の液体還元剤がポンプ23側に再充填されることを防ぐことができる。
Claims (3)
- 内燃機関の運転中には貯蔵タンク内の液体還元剤をポンプにより圧送するとともに還元剤噴射弁によって内燃機関の排気通路に前記液体還元剤を噴射する一方、前記内燃機関の停止時には還元剤供給経路内に残留する前記液体還元剤を前記貯蔵タンクに吸い戻すように前記液体還元剤の流れる方向を流路切換弁で切換可能であり、前記ポンプと前記貯蔵タンクとを接続する第1の還元剤通路に備えられた三方向切換弁により、前記ポンプと前記貯蔵タンクとを連通し前記ポンプ側の前記第1の還元剤通路を大気から遮断した状態とする第1の状態と、前記ポンプ側の第1の還元剤通路を大気開放する第2の状態と、に切換可能に構成された還元剤供給装置の制御方法において、
前記内燃機関の停止後に前記三方向切換弁が前記第1の状態でかつ前記還元剤噴射弁が閉弁した状態で前記流路切換弁を前記第1の還元剤通路と前記ポンプの出口側が連通するようにし前記吸い戻し制御を開始し、その後前記還元剤噴射弁を開弁し、前記吸い戻し制御の終了時には前記ポンプを停止した後に、前記三方向切換弁を前記第2の状態とし、さらに所定時間経過後に、前記流路切換弁を前記第1の還元剤通路と前記ポンプの入り口側が連通するように切換えることを特徴とする還元剤供給装置の制御方法。 - 液体還元剤を貯蔵する貯蔵タンクと、前記貯蔵タンク内の液体還元剤を圧送するポンプと、圧送される前記液体還元剤を内燃機関の排気通路内に噴射する還元剤噴射弁と、前記液体還元剤の流れる方向を切換える流路切換弁と、を備え、前記内燃機関の停止時に還元剤供給経路内に残留する前記液体還元剤を前記貯蔵タンクに吸い戻す制御を実行可能な還元剤供給装置において、
前記ポンプと前記貯蔵タンクとを接続する第1の還元剤通路に三方向切換弁を備え、前記三方向切換弁は前記ポンプと前記貯蔵タンクとを連通し前記ポンプ側の前記第1の還元剤通路を大気から遮断した状態とする第1の状態と、前記ポンプ側の前記第1の還元剤通路を大気開放する第2の状態と、に切換可能であり、
前記吸い戻し制御の実行時には前記三方向切換弁が前記第1の状態でかつ前記還元剤噴射弁が閉弁した状態で前記流路切換弁を前記第1の還元剤通路と前記ポンプの出口側を連通するようにし前記吸い戻し制御を開始し、その後前記還元剤噴射弁を開弁し、前記吸い戻し制御の終了時には前記ポンプを停止した後に、前記三方向切換弁を前記第2の状態とし、さらに所定時間経過後に、前記流路切換弁を前記第1の還元剤通路と前記ポンプの入口側が連通するように切換えることを特徴とする還元剤供給装置。 - 前記三方向切換弁を、前記貯蔵タンク側の前記第1の還元剤通路の末端よりも前記ポンプに近い位置の前記第1の還元剤通路に設けることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の還元剤供給装置。
