Claims (20)

前記セグメント電極の各々は、外面と、前記外面の反対側の内面と、近位端部と、遠位端部と、を含み、前記セグメント電極のうちの少なくとも1つは、前記セグメント電極内に形成され且つ前記セグメント電極の近位端部から遠位端部まで延びる少なくとも1つのチャネルを含み、前記リード本体の非導電性ポリマー材料の一部分は、少なくとも1つの前記セグメント電極の少なくとも1つのチャネル内に配置され、前記リード本体における前記少なくとも1つのセグメント電極の保持を容易にする、刺激リード。 - 前記チャネルは前記内面に沿って開口している、請求項1に記載の刺激リード。
- 前記チャネルは円形の断面を有する、請求項1に記載の刺激リード。
- 前記チャネルは台形又は三角形の断面を有する、請求項1に記載の刺激リード。
- 前記チャネルはT字形又はL字形の断面を有する、請求項1に記載の刺激リード。
- 前記セグメント電極の各々は、前記セグメント電極内に形成され且つ前記セグメント電極の近位端部から遠位端部まで延びる少なくとも1つのチャネルを有する、請求項1に記載の刺激リード。
- 前記少なくとも1つのチャネルは複数のチャネルである、請求項1に記載の刺激リード。
- 前記セグメント電極のうちの少なくとも1つは、前記外面に形成され且つ前記セグメント電極の近位端部から遠位端部まで延びる溝を含む、請求項1に記載の刺激リード。
- 前記セグメント電極の各々は、さらに、遠位端面と、近位端面を有し、少なくとも1つの前記セグメント電極は、前記遠位端面又は前記近位端面のうちの少なくとも一方に形成された弧状溝を含む、請求項1に記載の刺激リード。

前記セグメント電極の各々は、組織に隣接して刺激のために露出された外面と、前記外面の反対側の内面と、近位端部と、遠位端部と、を含み、前記セグメント電極のうちの少なくとも1つは、その遠位端部の面又は近位端部の面のうちの少なくとも1つに形成され且つかかる表面に沿って周方向に延びる弧状溝を含み、前記弧状溝は、前記セグメント電極の外面から間隔をおき、前記リード本体の非導電性ポリマー材料の一部分は、少なくとも1つの前記セグメント電極少なくとも1つの弧状溝内に配置され、前記リード本体における前記少なくとも1つのセグメント電極の保持を容易にする、刺激リード。 - 前記セグメント電極のうちの少なくとも1つは、前記遠位端面及び前記近位端面の両方に形成された弧状溝を含む、請求項10に記載の刺激リード。
- 前記セグメント電極のうちの少なくとも1つは、さらに、前記セグメント電極内に形成され且つ前記セグメント電極の近位端部から遠位端部まで延びる少なくとも1つのノッチを含む、請求項10に記載の刺激リード。

前記セグメント電極の各々は、外面と、前記外面の反対側の内面と、近位端部と、遠位端部と、を含み、前記セグメント電極のうちの少なくとも1つは、前記セグメント電極内に形成され且つ前記セグメント電極の近位端部から遠位端部まで延びるノッチを含み、前記リード本体の非導電性ポリマー材料の一部分は、少なくとも1つの前記セグメント電極少なくとも1つのノッチ内に配置され、前記リード本体における前記少なくとも1つのセグメント電極の保持を容易にする、刺激リード。 - 前記ノッチは、前記セグメント電極の外面から前記セグメント電極の中心に向かって内向きに延びる、請求項13に記載の刺激リード。
- 前記ノッチは、前記セグメント電極の中心から前記セグメント電極の外面に向かって外向きに延びる、請求項13に記載の刺激リード。
- 前記セグメント電極のうちの少なくとも1つは、2つのノッチを含む、請求項13に記載の刺激リード。
- 請求項1に記載された刺激リードを製造する方法であって、
少なくとも1つのプレ電極をリード本体の遠位端部の近くに且つ前記リード本体の長手方向表面に沿って配置する段階を含み、
前記少なくとも1つのプレ電極は、複数のセグメント電極を含み、前記セグメント電極の各々は、外面と、前記外面の反対側の内面と、近位端部と、遠位端部を含み、前記セグメント電極のうちの少なくとも1つは、前記セグメント電極に形成され且つ前記セグメント電極の近位端部から遠位端部まで延びる少なくとも1つのチャネルを含み、
さらに、生体適合性の非導電性ポリマー材料を前記少なくとも1つのチャネルに挿入する段階と、
前記非導電性ポリマー材料を前記少なくとも1つのチャネル内でリフローし、前記刺激リードと前記セグメント電極の保持を容易にする段階と、を含む方法。 - 前記プレ電極は、前記プレ電極のセグメント電極の各々の間に切欠きを有し、
前記方法は、さらに、非導電性ポリマー材料を前記セグメント電極の各々の間の切欠きに挿入し、前記非導電性ポリマー材料を前記セグメント電極の各々の間の切欠き内でリフローする段階を含む、請求項17に記載の方法。 - 前記非導電性ポリマー材料がモノフィラメントである、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1つのプレ電極は、少なくとも2つのプレ電極を含み、
前記方法は、さらに、少なくとも1つのスペーサを前記少なくとも2つのプレ電極の間に配置する段階を含み、
前記非導電性ポリマー材料をリフローする段階は、前記少なくとも1つのスペーサ及び前記非導電性ポリマー材料を前記少なくとも1つのチャネル内でリフローし、前記刺激リードとの前記セグメント電極の保持を容易にする段階を含む、請求項17に記載の方法。
