Description
Claims (14)
- 電池を製造する方法であって、
キャップアセンブリーを缶の開放上端部に搭載するステップであって、前記缶は、その中に内蔵された電極組立体を有しており、前記キャップアセンブリーは、
安全用電流遮断部材(CID)によって連結されている安全ベントと、
前記安全ベントの外周面に沿って前記安全ベントに接続されている突出状の上端キャップと、
前記上端キャップの外周面に装着されているガスケットであって、前記ガスケットには、前記ガスケットの下端外周面から上方に湾入した一つ以上の溝部が設けられている、ガスケットと、
を備えている、キャップアセンブリーを搭載するステップと、
前記ガスケットの前記一つ以上の溝部を通じて、正極タブを前記安全用電流遮断部材(CID)に溶接するステップであって、前記正極タブは、前記電極組立体の正極における正極活物質の塗布されていない素地部に取り付けられているステップと、
を備えることを特徴とする電池を製造する方法。 - 前記正極タブを前記安全用電流遮断部材(CID)に溶接するステップは、前記正極タブを前記安全用電流遮断部材(CID)の下面に溶接することを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池を製造する方法。
- 前記正極タブを前記安全用電流遮断部材(CID)に溶接するステップは、前記正極タブの少なくとも一部が折れ曲がった状態である場合に行われることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の電池を製造する方法。
- 前記一つ以上の溝部の長さは、0.5mm〜1.5mmであることを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の電池を製造する方法。
- 前記一つ以上の溝部の幅は、1mmであることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の電池を製造する方法。
- 前記一つ以上の溝部は、ガスケットの中心軸を基準に対称となる2個以上が設けられていることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池を製造する方法。
- 前記正極タブを前記安全用電流遮断部材(CID)に溶接するステップの間に、前記2個以上の溝部を通じてセンサーを挿入するステップをさらに備える、請求項6に記載の電池を製造する方法。
- 前記ガスケットは、前記電極組立体の移動を防止するよう、前記ガスケットの下端外周面から下方に延びた延長部をさらに有している、請求項1に記載の電池を製造する方法。
- 前記延長部の長さは、3mm以下であることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の電池を製造する方法。
- 前記ガスケットの材料は、ポリプロピレン(PP)、ポリエチレン(PE)、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン(PTFE)、熱可塑性ポリエステルエラストマー(Thermo−plastic PolyEster Elastomer:TPEE)及びゴムからなる群から選ばれる1種以上であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の電池を製造する方法。
- 前記電池は、リチウム二次電池であることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の電池を製造する方法。
- 前記缶は円筒形である、請求項1に記載の電池を製造する方法。
- 前記電極組立体は、正極と、負極と、それらの間の分離膜とを含み、それらがジェリー・ロール形状になるように巻かれている、請求項12に記載の電池を製造する方法。
- 前記正極タブは、前記正極において正極活物質の塗布されていない素地部に溶接方式で取り付けられている、請求項1に記載の電池を製造する方法。
