Description
本発明による医療用電極は通常、上部側及び底部側を有する可撓性導電部材と、当該可撓性導電部材と接触して外部装置との電極接触を確立するコネクタとを備える。
オーバサイズの可撓性非導電シート26が、コネクタ20と共に可撓性導電部材12を覆い、シート26は、部材12と接触しているリード線22も保持する中央接着層28によって可撓性部材12に接着することができる。接着剤28は好ましくは、Bostick Findley、Borden、又は3Mによって製造される熱融解性接着剤である。中央接着剤28及び導電性接着剤44を、後述する同心周縁接着剤28aによってシールすることによって、湿気が防止される。
再び図2を参照すると、導電性ヒドロゲル接着剤44を、電極10を図示されていない患者の皮膚に接着するのに利用することができる。適切な接着剤が米国特許第6,038,464号に記載されている。加えて、シート端部26a及び周縁接着剤28aはヒドロゲル接着剤44から離間されているため、間隙46によってヒドロゲル接着剤44への周囲の汚染がさらに防止される。
Claims (5)
- 医療用電極であって、
上部側及び底部側を有する可撓性導電部材と、
前記可撓性導電部材と接触して外部装置との電気的接触を確立するコネクタと、
前記可撓性導電部材の上部側の上に配置される可撓性非導電シートであって、前記可撓性導電部材よりも大きい寸法を有し、連続的なシート周縁により前記可撓性導電部材からはみ出ている、可撓性非導電シートと、
前記可撓性非導電シートを前記可撓性導電部材の前記上部側に接着すると共に、前記コネクタを前記可撓性導電部材の上部側に固定する中央接着剤と、
前記連続的なシート周縁上で前記中央接着剤の周囲に配置され、使用者の皮膚に対する該電極のシールを可能にする非親水性の周縁接着剤と、
前記可撓性導電部材の底部側に前記周縁接着剤と離間した関係で配置され、電気的エネルギーを前記コネクタおよび前記可撓性導電部材を通じて前記使用者の皮膚に送るように構成される導電性のヒドロゲル接着剤と、
を備え、前記中央接着剤および前記非親水性の周縁接着剤が同一の層に配置される、医療用電極。 - 前記中央接着剤が熱融解性接着剤を含む、請求項1記載の医療用電極。
- 前記可撓性導電部材が導電性織物を含む、請求項1または2記載の医療用電極。
- 請求項1記載の医療用電極において、前記中央接着剤および前記非親水性の周縁接着剤が共に、前記可撓性非導電シートに接着される、医療用電極。
- 請求項4記載の医療用電極において、前記中央接着剤が前記非親水性の周縁接着剤の内側に配置される、医療用電極。
