Description
Claims (9)
- 原子炉内の燃料取扱エリア(101)から崩壊熱を除去する、使用済燃料の受動冷却システムであって、使用済燃料プール(15)と濾過システムとを含み、
使用済燃料プール(15)は燃料取り扱いエリア(101)に配置され、水と、原子炉炉心から取り出され、崩壊熱を発する使用済燃料とを収容するものであり、使用済燃料プールの水が沸騰する際に、発生した蒸気が燃料取扱エリア(101)内の空気と混合して微粒子を含有する蒸気と空気の混合物を生成するとともに、燃料取扱エリア(101)の内部と外部との間の差圧を発生させ、
前記濾過システムは微粒子を少なくとも部分的に除去するものであり、
第1の端部が燃料取扱エリア(101)に接続され、第2の端部が大気(155)に接続された排出路(115)と、
燃料取扱エリア(101)の排出路(115)とのインターフェース部分に位置し、前記混合物を燃料取扱エリア(101)から排出路(115)に排出する少なくとも1つの温度作動式ダンパー(105)を有して成る、第1のベント機構と、
排出路(115)に位置し、繊維を含有するマットを少なくとも1つ含んで成り、前記混合物から前記微粒子の少なくとも一部を該マットに捕捉することによって、濾過された混合物を生成するように構成されたエアフィルタを少なくとも1つ有する空気濾過装置(125)と、
前記少なくとも1つのエアフィルタの下流に位置し、前記濾過された混合物を大気(155)中に放出するように構成された第2のベント機構とを含むものであり、
前記蒸気と空気の混合物は、前記燃料取扱エリア(101)の内部と外部との間の差圧により、前記少なくとも1つのエアフィルタに圧入される、使用済燃料の受動冷却システム。 - さらに、空気濾過装置(125)に接続された少なくとも1つのドレン(135)を含み、ドレン(135)は燃料取扱エリア(101)内の蒸気と空気の混合物から発生した復水を燃料取扱エリア(101)または他の適当な放出ポイントに戻すように構成されている、請求項1に記載の受動冷却システム。
- 少なくとも1つのドレンは2つのドレン(135,140)である、請求項2に記載の受動冷却システム。
- 一方のドレン(135)は前記少なくとも1つのエアフィルタの上流に配置され、他方のドレン(140)は前記少なくとも1つのエアフィルタの下流に配置されている、請求項3に記載の受動冷却システム。
- 第2のベント機構は、少なくとも1つのフェールオープン式または重力作動式のダンパーを含む、請求項1に記載の受動冷却システム。
- 前記第1および第2のベント機構は、それぞれ2つのダンパー(105,110および145、150)を含み、該2つのダンパーの一方はバックアップ用である、請求項1に記載の受動冷却システム。
- 第1のベント機構から放出される蒸気と空気の混合物は、第2のベント機構から放出される濾過された蒸気と空気の混合物と比較して、より多くの微粒子を含有する、請求項1に記載の受動冷却システム。
- 原子炉は、加圧水型原子炉および沸騰水型原子炉からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の受動冷却システム。
- 微粒子は放射性微粒子を含む、請求項1に記載の受動冷却システム。
