Claims (14)
- ガスクロマトグラフ(GC)システム用の装置であって、
ヘリウムガス源及び非ヘリウムガス源に接続されたインジェクタであって、前記非ヘリウムガス源が、分析カラムの入力端部を加圧して、スプリット又はパージガスフローのうち少なくとも一方を送出するように構成された前記インジェクタと、
前記分析カラムの前記入力端部を取り囲む導管と、この導管に接続されたコントローラと、を備えた導管組立体であって、前記コントローラが、前記カラムへの試料移送を行うため、注入期間の際に前記カラムフローよりも少ない同軸ヘリウムフローを送出する第1モードと、前記非ヘリウムガスが前記分析カラムに入るのを防止するため、注入期間の後、前記カラムフローよりも多いヘリウムの同軸フローを送出する第2モードと、を備えた前記導管組立体と、
を有することを特徴とする装置。 - 前記コントローラは、注入期間に先立ち前記非ヘリウムガス源をヘリウムに一時的に切り換え、注入期間の後に、前記非ヘリウムガス源に戻すための空気圧駆動式スイッチを備えている請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記コントローラは、二次インジェクタである請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記コントローラは、
非ヘリウムガス又はヘリウムのうち一方を受け入れる三方弁に接続された電子式圧力コントローラと、
2つのレベルのヘリウムフローを前記導管に送出するための二次弁及び目盛付きレストリクタと、
インジェクタと分析カラムとの間に置かれ、前記導管に接続する中間点を備えたTコネクタと、
前記分析カラムの前記出力部に接続されたガスクロマトグラフ検出器と、
を備えている請求項1記載の装置。 - 前記ガスクロマトグラフ検出器は、質量分析計である請求項4記載の装置。
- 前記インジェクタは、スプリット/スプリットレス(SSL)インジェクタである請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記インジェクタは、昇温気化型インジェクタ(PTV)である請求項4記載の装置。
- 非ヘリウムガスは、水素、窒素、及びアルゴンからなる群から選択される請求項1記載の装置。
- 更に、前記昇温気化型インジェクタの前記出力部と前記Tコネクタとの間に置かれた加熱されたプレカラムを有する請求項7記載の装置。
- 前記インジェクタは、
末端にねじ込みステムを備えた取り外し可能なツーピースインジェクタベースを備え、前記ねじ込みステムは、前記ねじ込みステムの上端に入力部及び前記ねじ込みステムの下端に出力部を備えた導管を有し、
前記取り外し可能なインジェクタベースの上方に、
注入口ライナーと、
前記注入口ライナー内の導管と、
前記導管内に位置決めされた分析カラムと、
前記導管のまわりに同軸に位置決めされたフェルールと
を備え、前記ツーピースベースが、前記フェルールが圧縮されるように、互いにねじ込まれており、
前記ヘリウムガス源と前記ベースとの流体連通を行うため、前記ベースと前記注入口との間に置かれた溝付きガスケットをさらに備えている請求項1記載の装置。 - 前記分析カラムは、前記導管に収容されている請求項10記載の装置。
- 前記溝付きガスケットは、前記ガスケットの各面の環状溝と、この環状溝内のバイアとを備えている請求項10に記載の装置。
- 更に、前記導管の前記入力端部と連通する第1弁と、
この第1弁に直列に接続された少なくとも1つのキャピラリーレストリクタと、
前記少なくとも1つのキャピラリーレストリクタと流体連通する前記ヘリウムガス源であって、前記カラムへの試料の移送を行うため、前記カラムの前記流量よりも大きい流量で前記カラムの前記入力端部に前記ヘリウムガスを差し向ける第1モードと、前記カラムの前記入力端部における前記ヘリウムガスの前記フローを前記カラムの前記フローよりも少ない値まで低減させる第2モードと、を備えた前記ヘリウムガス源と、
を備えている請求項10記載の装置。 - 非ヘリウムガスは、水素、窒素、及びアルゴンからなる群から選択される請求項10記載の装置。
