Description

本発明は、一般的に、硬質および/または軟質材料を処理する(例えば、切断する)ためのレーザー処理(例えば、切断)装置に関し、特に、レーザー処理装置に構成要素を供給するためのレーザー伝送システムに関する。

Claims (13)
- レーザーハンドピースハウジングと、
レーザー源から前記ハウジング内にレーザービームを提供するために構成された導波管と、
前記ハウジングによって支持され、前記導波管からの電磁エネルギーを受け取るとともに出力するために前記導波管と結合したウインドウと、
前記ハウジングによって支持され、前記ウインドウから出力された前記電磁エネルギーの方向を変えるために前記導波管及び前記ウインドウに対して配された反射器と、
前記ハウジング内の設置位置に設置可能な第1のレンズと、を備える装置であって、
該第1のレンズは、第1の端面と、その反対側の第2の端面とを備え、
前記第1の端面は、前記第1のレンズが前記設置位置にあるとき、前記ハウジング内に位置するとともに、該第1の端面を通ってビームが前記第1のレンズに入るように構成され、
前記第2の端面は、前記第1のレンズが前記設置位置にあるとき、前記ハウジングの外側に位置するとともに、該第2の端面を通ってビームが前記第1のレンズから出て行くように構成され、前記第1の端面及び前記第2の端面のうち少なくとも1つは、前記第2の端面を越えて組織の標的位置へビームの焦点を合わせるために凸面であり、
前記第1のレンズは、収束特性という点において該第1のレンズと異なる第2のレンズと互換性があるとともに、前記第1のレンズを前記第2のレンズと交換することにより前記収束特性を変化させることができるように、前記ハウジング内の設置位置に設置可能であり、
前記第2のレンズは、第1の端面と、その反対側の第2の端面とを備え、
前記第1の端面は、前記第2のレンズが前記設置位置にあるとき、前記ハウジング内に位置するとともに、該第1の端面を通ってビームが前記第2のレンズに入るように構成され、
前記第2の端面は、前記第2のレンズが前記設置位置にあるとき、前記ハウジングの外側に位置するとともに、該第2の端面を通ってビームが前記第2のレンズから出て行くように構成され、前記第2のレンズの前記第1の端面及び前記第2の端面のうち少なくとも1つは、前記第2の端面を越えて組織の標的位置へビームの焦点を合わせるために凸面であることを特徴とする装置。 - 前記第1のレンズが細長であり、該細長の第1のレンズは、該レンズの前記第1の端面と第2の端面とによって及びこれらの間で定義された長さと、該長さよりも小さい幅とを有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記長さが約2mmから約5mmであり、前記幅が約1mmから約3mmであることを特徴とする請求項2記載の装置。
- 前記細長の第1のレンズがサファイア又はガラス構造であることを特徴とする請求項2記載の装置。
- 前記細長の第1のレンズの構造が円筒状であることを特徴とする請求項2記載の装置。
- 前記第1のレンズの前記第1の端面が凸面であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記第1のレンズの前記第2の端面が凸面であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記第1のレンズの前記第1の端面が凸面であることを特徴とする請求項7記載の装置。
- 前記導波管は光ファイバーを備え、前記凸面は、ビームの直径を、前記導波管の直径とほぼ同じであるビームウェストまで収束させるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記収束特性は、前記第2の端面からビームウェストまでの距離であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記収束特性は、ビームウェストにおけるビームの幅であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記収束特性は、ビームウェストにおけるビームの断面形状であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
- 前記収束特性は、ビームウェストにおけるビームの出力密度であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の装置。
