Description
本件は、米国仮出願第61/359,381号(2010年6月29日出願)(その全内容を参照により本明細書に組入れる)の利益を主張する。
発明の分野
本発明は、無機バインダー組成物、更に、無機バインダー組成物のための添加剤パッケージおよび無機バインダー組成物の性能を改善するための方法に関する。
水系無機バインダー組成物としては、ジプサム系接合モルタル組成物、ジプサム系スプレーモルタルおよびセメント系タイル接着剤が挙げられる。これらの組成物は、その適用中に手作業を必要とし、労力コストがその適用のかなりの部分になる。更に、これらの組成物は、建造物構造において視認できる機能を果たすため、作業性が容易であること、更にその性能特性は、美観的に魅力的な仕上を効率的な手法で実現するために重大である。従って、水系無機バインダー組成物の作業性および最終的な特性を改善して、その適用のスピードおよび/または容易性を増大させ、そしてその最終的な特性を改善することが、結果を改善しながらコストをより低くするために望ましい。
驚くべきことに、セルロースエーテルを微結晶セルロースとの組合せで含む水系無機バインダー組成物が、改善された作業性および/または最終特性を示す。特に、セルロースエーテルと微結晶セルロースとの両者を含むことが、驚くべきことに以下の利点を与える:(a)ジプサム系接合モルタル組成物において、塊形成の低減がある;(b)ジプサムスプレープラスターにおいて、作業性、特にレベリングの増大がある;そして(c)セメント系タイル接着剤において、凍結融解耐性の増大がある。セルロースエーテルおよび微結晶セルロースの組合せは、水系無機バインダー組成物(ジプサム系の系およびセメント系の系等)の幅の改善を与える。
試験方法は、試験方法番号が異なる日付を含まない限り、本件の優先日現在での最も直近の試験方法を意味する。試験方法の言及は、試験機関および試験方法番号の両者を意味する。以下の試験方法の略号は本開示で以下を示す:ASTMは、American Society for Testing and Materialsを意味し;ENはEuropean Normを意味し;DINはDeutsches Institute fur Normungを意味し;そしてISOはInternational Organization for Standardsを意味する。
比較例Aについて、CEM I 42.5 Rセメント(総乾燥セメント組成物基準で40質量%;Holcimから入手可能)、Quarzsand F32(粗)砂(総乾燥セメント組成物基準で58.5質量%;Quarzwerke GmbHから入手可能)およびDLP 212再分散可能ポリマー粉末(総乾燥セメント組成物基準で1.5質量%;Dow Wolff Cellulosicsから入手可能)からなる乾燥セメント組成物を調製する。乾燥セメント組成物を、0.3質量%(総ブレンド質量基準)の高粘度ヒドロキシエチルメチルセルロース(特性は:DS 1.39およびMS 0.19;粘度46800ミリパスカル*秒(mPa*s)(2質量%水性溶液中、20℃にて); Roovisko,D−2.55 s−1;45−46%は63ミクロンメッシュで残る)をドライブレンドする。得られる水系無機バインダー組成物を、混合しながら水で水和して、水−対−固形分の質量比0.19を有する、水和されたバインダー組成物を形成する。
比較例Bならびに例4および5について、乾燥セメント組成物を表2に示すような添加剤パッケージとブレンドする。
2 コーンスターチを基にする冷水可溶性スターチエーテル,粘度1200〜1600mPa*s(5%水性溶液,ブルックフィールドスピンドル 3.50rpm)を有する
3 媒体アニオン性物質,粘度約4000mPa*s(0.5%蒸留水溶液)を有し、65〜85%が3ミクロンメッシュで残る
4 MICROCELTM 微結晶セルロース,0.4%が250ミクロンメッシュで残り、55.7%が74ミクロンメッシュで残る;MICROCELはBlanver Farmoquimica LTDAの商標である。
比較例Cならびに例6および7は、200グラム(g)のジプサム(Knauf Gipsspachtel,Knauf Westdeutsche Gipswerke, Germany)を0.5gの添加剤パッケージ(表4参照)と、500ミリリットル(ml)ビーカー内でブレンドし、100mlの水を20℃で添加し、水中で木製スターラーで15秒間巻き付け、次いで木製スターラーで更に45秒間撹拌を続けることによってゆっくりブレンド物を湿潤させることによって調製する。
2 ポリアクリルアミドは、粘度約250mPa*s(0.5%,10%塩化ナトリウム溶液中)および65〜85%が63ミクロンメッシュで残る;の媒体アニオン性物質である。
3 微結晶セルロースは、MICROCELTM 微結晶セルロースであり,0.4%が250ミクロンメッシュで残り、55.7%が74ミクロンメッシュで残る;MICROCELはBlanver Farmoquimica LTDAの商標である。
4 評価ランクは、1〜5の段階であり、1が最良、5が最悪である。
比較例D〜Fは、100質量部のジプサム(Gips− MP Knauf Rottleberode)当たりそれぞれ0.250、0.225および0.200質量部の添加剤パッケージを含有するジプサムスプレー配合物を比較する。添加剤パッケージは、97.7質量%のセルロースエーテル(メチルヒドロキシエチルセルロース,DS 1.56およびMS 0.27;粘度35590mPa*s(2%水性溶液,20℃,Rotovisko,D−2.55s−1)を有し、40〜60%が63ミクロンメッシュで残る)および2.3質量%のポリアクリルアミド(若干アニオン性で、粘度約1000mPa*s(0.5%蒸留水溶液中で測定)からなる。
[1] 無機バインダー、セルロースエーテルおよび微結晶セルロースを含む、水系無機バインダー組成物。
[2] 無機バインダーが、ジプサム系モルタルおよびセメントからなる群から選択される、上記[1]に記載の組成物。
[3] 無機バインダーがジプサム系モルタルである、上記[1]に記載の組成物。
[4] 無機バインダーがセメントである、上記[1]に記載の組成物。
[5] 微結晶セルロースが、セルロースエーテルと微結晶セルロースとの総質量基準で10〜30質量%の濃度で存在する、上記[1]に記載の組成物。
[6] セルロースエーテルと微結晶セルロースとの組合せ濃度が、水系無機バインダー組成物の総乾燥質量基準で0.01〜1.0質量%の範囲である、上記[1]に記載の組成物。
[7] 水を更に含む、上記[1]に記載の組成物。
[8] 微結晶セルロースが、凝集した添加剤物質を含まない、上記[1]に記載の組成物。
[9] 水系無機バインダー組成物用の添加剤パッケージであって、セルロースエーテルおよび微結晶セルロースを含む、添加剤パッケージ。
[10] 微結晶セルロースが、セルロースエーテルと微結晶セルロースとの総質量基準で10〜30質量%の濃度で存在する、上記[9]に記載の添加剤パッケージ。
[11] 微結晶セルロースが、凝集した添加剤物質を含まない、上記[9]に記載の添加剤パッケージ。
[12] 水系無機バインダー組成物の特性を改善する方法であって、セルロースエーテルと微結晶セルロースとの組合せを水系バインダー組成物においてブレンドすることを含む、方法。
[13] 微結晶セルロースが、セルロースエーテルと微結晶セルロースとの総質量基準で10〜30質量%の濃度で存在する、上記[12]に記載の方法。
[14] セルロースエーテルと微結晶セルロースとの組合せ濃度が、水系無機バインダー組成物の総乾燥質量基準で0.01〜0.1質量%の範囲である、上記[12]に記載の方法。
[15] 微結晶セルロースが、凝集した添加剤物質を含まない、上記[12]に記載の方法。
Claims (1)
- 水系無機バインダー組成物用の添加剤パッケージであって、添加剤パッケージがセルロースエーテルおよび微結晶セルロースを含み、
微結晶セルロースが、セルロースエーテルと微結晶セルロースとの総質量基準で10〜30質量%の濃度で存在し、
添加剤パッケージが乾燥粉末の形状である、添加剤パッケージ。
