Description
本発明は、超吸収体の計量供給方法に関する。
a)少なくとも1つのエチレン性不飽和酸官能性モノマー、
b)少なくとも1つの架橋剤、
c)選択的に、モノマーa)と共重合可能な1つ以上のエチレン性および/またはアリル性不飽和モノマー、および
d)選択的に、モノマーa)、b)および適切な場合c)が少なくとも部分的にグラフトすることができる1つ以上の水溶性ポリマー
を有するモノマー溶液の重合によって得られる。
・例えばEP445619A2およびDE19846413A1に記載されているような、バッチ工程または管状反応器中でのゲル重合および引き続くミートグラインダー、押出機または混練機中での微粉砕;
・例えばWO01/38402A1に記載されているような、反転撹拌シャフトによる連続的な微粉砕を伴った混練機中での重合;
・例えばEP955086A2、DE3825366A1またはUS6,241,928に記載されているような、ベルト上での重合および引き続くミートグラインダー、押出機または混練機中での微粉砕;
・例えばEP457660A1に記載されているような、比較的狭いゲルサイズ分布を有するビーズポリマーを生成する乳化重合;
・例えばWO/0294328A2、WO02/94329A1に記載されているような、たいてい連続的な操作において、予めモノマー水溶液で噴霧され、且つその後に光重合に供された織物層上での現場重合

・ジ−およびポリ−N−メチロール化合物、例えばメチレンビス(N−メチロールメタクリルアミド)またはメラミン−ホルムアルデヒド樹脂、
・2つ以上のブロック化イソシアネート基を有する化合物、例えば2,2,3,6−テトラメチルピペリジン−4−オンでブロックされたトリメチルヘキサメチレンジイソシアネートである。
・粒状の無機または有機固体:
・カチオン性ポリマー;および
・水溶性多価金属塩
からなる群から選択された少なくとも1つの透過性増強剤である。
・アルコール
・ポリグリコール
・シリコーンオイル
・親水性変性シリコーンオイル
・パラフィンオイル
によって形成される群から選択されたこの粘度の少なくとも1つの試剤である。
Absorption under Load(負荷下吸収性) 0.9psi(AUL 0.9psi)
AUL 0.9psiを測定する方法は、WO00/62825,第22頁〜第23頁に開示されている(そこでは"Absorbency Under Load"と呼ばれる)。317グラム重が、AUL 0.9psi値を得るために用いられる。
遠心保持容量(CRC)の測定方法は、US特許出願番号US2002/0165288A1,段落番号[0105]および[0106]に記載されている。
流量は、EDANA(European Disposables and Nonwovens Association,Avenue Eugene Plasky,157,1030 Bruessels,Belguium,www.edana.org)試験方法450.2−02(EDANAから入手可能)を用いて測定される。
自由膨潤ゲルベッド透過性(Free Swell GBP)の測定方法は、US特許出願番号2005/0256757A1,段落番号[0061]から[0075]に記載されている。
自由降伏強度(fc)の測定方法は、ASTM Standard D 6773−02:"Standard Shear Test Method for bulk Solids using the Schulze Ring Shear Tester"(Booko of Standards 04.09)(ASTM International,West Conshohocken,PA,USAから入手可能)に記載されている。該値は6kaの圧密応力で測定される。その圧密応力でのFFC値は、その圧密応力にて測定された自由降伏強度に対する圧密応力の比率である。このASTM Standardでは、圧密強度は"破壊包絡線の主応力(major principal stress of a yield lucus)"と呼称される。
質量流量試験は、超吸収体の輸送特性を示すものであると意図されている。上流ホッパー(体積40リットル、生成物のブリッジングを回避するために攪拌機を備え付けている)が備え付けられた二軸オーガスクリュー(ピッチ48mm、外側のスクリュー直径38.5mm、内側のスクリュー直径15.5mm、センターからセンターのスクリュー間隔28.5mm、スクリューケーシング間隔(クリアリング)0.3mm、スクリューの長さ300mm)は、スケールに設置された受入容器に送り込む。超吸収体はホッパーに充填され、且つ該二軸スクリューは300rpmおよび600rpmの設定値で操作される。受入容器に送り込まれる超吸収体の量は連続的に記録される。
例1:ポリマーA(比較)
精製アクリル酸1040.00gを、蓋、熱電対および窒素パージ管が備え付けられた4リットルのガラス反応槽中に添加した。次に、ペンタエリトリトールトリアリルエーテル3.12g、脱イオン水2430.17g、Kymene(R)736 3.83g(Hercules Incorporated,Wilmington,Delaware,U.S,Aから得られる、ポリアミドアミン・エピクロロヒドリン付加物の水溶液)、および脱イオン水からなる氷500gを添加した。次いで、このモノマー溶液を窒素で30分間パージした。30分後、1質量%の過酸化水素水溶液11.44gおよび1質量%のアスコルビン酸水溶液11.44gを同時に添加した。この開始後(温度は急激に上昇し、且つモノマー溶液は増粘した)、バージ管をモノマー溶液から取り去り、且つ反応温度がピークに達するまでヘッドスペースに設置した。ゲルを一晩中、絶縁容器中で保持した。
ポリマーA1kgを、ステンレス鋼パンに設置した。ニードルが備え付けられた3mlシリンジを用いて、ポリエチレングリコール400(400g/モルの平均分子量のポリエチレングリコール、"PEG−400")2.0gを、確実に液滴同士が粉末上で接触しないようにポリマーに添加した。次いで該粉末をヘラで緩やかに攪拌し、注意深くミキサー(Loedige M 5型)に流し込み、且つ212rpmで5分間混合してポリマーBを製造した。
ポリマーCを例1の方法に基づき得たが、しかしながら、次の化学物質量を用いた:
精製アクリル酸 1040.00g
ペンタエリトリトールトリアリルエーテル 5.72g、
脱イオン水 2430.17g、
Kymene(R)736 0.52g
脱イオン水からなる氷 500g
1質量%の過酸化水素水溶液 11.44g
1質量%のアスコルビン酸水溶液 11.44g
50質量%のNaOH水溶液 843.56g
脱イオン水200g中に溶解されたメタ重亜硫酸ナトリウム 10.40g
Decanol(R)EX 810 1.50g
プロピレングリコール 13.00g
脱イオン水 27.00g
アクリル酸92.4g、ペンタエリトリトールトリアリルエーテル0.022gおよび脱イオン水87.2gを混合した。炭酸ナトリウム40.4gを添加し、モノマー溶液の温度を、中和反応の間、30℃より低く保った。次いで、2,2'−アゾビスアミジノプロパン二塩酸塩0.081gおよび過酸化水素0.054gをモノマー混合物中に混ぜた。次いで、混合物を62℃に加熱し、且つパンに流し込んだ。脱イオン水5g中に溶解された、Brueggolit(R)FF6(L.Brueggemann KG,Heilbronn,Germanyから入手される、スルフィン酸誘導体のナトリウム塩)0.027gを、重合を開始させるために添加した。重合の熱に基づき、反応中に蒸発した大部分の水、および最後に約15質量%の残留湿分含量を有するポリマー材料を得た。該ポリマー材料を乾燥炉で120℃にて乾燥し、106〜850μmの粒径分布へと粉砕し且つ分級した。該乾燥粉末を、疎水性シリカ(Degussa AG,Frankfurt,Germanyから得られる、Sipernat(R)D−17)0.25質量%と混合し、次いで(ポリマー粉末に対する質量%値)Decanol(R)EX 810 0.46質量%、水 7.26質量%および1,3−プロパンジオール 2.29質量%からなる溶液を該粒子上に噴霧し、且つ引き続き120℃で1時間のあいた硬化することによって表面架橋した。
ポリマーの特性(CRC、AUL0.9psi("AUL")、自由膨潤GBP("FSGBP")、6kPaの圧密応力sigma_1での自由降伏強度fc、300rpm("MFR300")および600rpm("MFR600")での流量および質量流量)は表1にまとめている。
Claims (8)
- 粒状固体でありかつ透過性増強剤で処理された超吸収体の計量供給方法であって、表面架橋されている超吸収体に、または表面架橋と同時に、または部分的に同時に且つ部分的に表面架橋後に、透過性増強剤を適用し、かつ計量供給される超吸収体を、6kPaの圧密応力で0.75から1.5kPaの自由降伏強度を有するように凝集制御剤で計量供給前に処理し、スクリューコンベヤーを用いて前記処理した超吸収体の輸送を行うことにより、前記超吸収体を連続的に正確かつ高速に計量供給できる、超吸収体の計量供給方法。
- 一軸スクリューを用いる、請求項1記載の方法。
- 二軸スクリューを用いる、請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記凝集制御剤が、20℃にて少なくとも20mPasであり、且つ1000mPasを上回らない粘度を有する非水性液体である、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記凝集制御剤が、アルコール、ポリグリコール、シリコーンオイル、親水性変性シリコーンオイルおよびパラフィンオイルからなる群から選択された少なくとも1つの試剤である、請求項4記載の方法。
- 前記凝集制御剤が、1,2−プロピレングリコール、1,3−プロパンジオール、1,2−ブタンジオール、1,3−ブタンジオールおよび1,4−ブタンジオール、グリセリン、ポリエチレングリコール、ポリプロピレングリコールおよびポリブチレングリコール、シリコーンオイル、および親水性変性シリコーンオイルからなる群から選択された少なくとも1つの試剤である、請求項5記載の方法。
- 前記凝集制御剤が、1,2−プロピレングリコール、1500g/モル未満の平均分子量を有するポリエチレングルコール、シリコーンオイルおよび親水性変性シリコーンオイルからなる群から選択された少なくとも1つの試剤である、請求項6記載の方法。
- 前記凝集制御剤が、材料の全量に対して、少なくとも100質量ppmおよびせいぜい5000質量ppmの量で使用される、請求項4から7までのいずれか1項記載の方法。
