Description
拡散係数は、化学種の流束と、その濃度勾配との間の比例定数である。拡散係数DABは、化学種B中の化学種Aの拡散係数を意味する。本発明の場合、これは空気中の水蒸気の拡散係数、または空気中の酸素の拡散係数を意味する。拡散係数が大きいと流束値が大きくなり、拡散係数が小さいと流束値が小さくなる。空気中の酸素の拡散係数は、室温および通常の室内湿度において約0.21cm2/秒であり、一方、空気中の水蒸気の拡散係数は、室温および室内湿度において約0.24cm2/秒である。
Claims (3)
- 発電機(10、800)であって、
水素生成用燃料(44)と、
カソード(16)、プロトン交換膜(42、820)、およびアノード(18)を備える、前記水素生成用燃料(44、810)と周囲環境との間に位置決めされる燃料電池(14、600、800)と、
前記燃料電池と周囲環境との間で、周囲空気および水の入口および出口のために構成された単一の通路(20、730、732、734、736、738)内に配置された第1の弁(21、725、855)とを含み、前記第1の弁を介して水が前記燃料電池を出入りするのを制御可能に防止し、また、前記燃料電池の電極で発生する水は前記水素生成用燃料から水素ガスを生成するために再利用される、ことで発電を受動的に進行させることができるように構成される、発電機(10、800)。 - 請求項1に記載の発電機であって、
前記水素生成用燃料と前記燃料電池との間に配置された第2の弁(28、835)をさらに含み、前記第2の弁(28、825)が、圧力応答性可撓性隔膜(48、825)に連結された圧力調整弁であり、前記水素生成用燃料(44、810)と燃料電池(14、600、800)との間の圧力が所定のレベルを超えるときには前記圧力調整弁が弁座(38、840、850)に連結され、前記水素生成用燃料と燃料電池(14、600、800)との間の圧力が所定のレベルを下回るときには、前記水素生成用燃料(44、810)を前記燃料電池に露出させることができる、発電機。 - 水素(44、810)を生成する手段と、
カソード(16)、プロトン交換膜(42、820)、およびアノード(18)を備える、水素生成用燃料(44、810)と周囲環境との間に位置決めされる燃料電池(14、600、800)と、
前記燃料電池と周囲環境との間で、周囲空気および水の入口および出口のために構成された単一の通路(20、730、732、734、736、738)内に配置された第1の弁(21、725、855)とを含み、前記第1の弁を介して水が前記燃料電池を出入りするのを制御可能に防止し、また、前記燃料電池の電極で発生する水は前記水素生成用燃料から水素ガスを生成するために再利用される、ことで発電を受動的に進行させることができるように構成される、発電機(10、800)。
