Description
少なくとも1つの流体媒質入口、少なくとも1つの流体媒質出口、並びに、入口及び出口に接続された少なくとも1つの閉込部を有し、変換又は捕捉が実施される流れ分配器と、
装置を回転、揺動、揺振、又は振動させる手段とを備えた装置を提供する。
ポリ(テトラフルオロエチレン)[PTFE]製の長さが46mmで内径及び外形がそれぞれ6.3mm及び6.5mmの管から、3つの同一の管状装置を実質的に図2に従って用意した。直径2mmのドリルを用いて、管の中央に互いに直角となる2組の孔を設け、そこに2つの環状の希土類永久磁石を両端からそれぞれ挿入し、中央の入口孔を塞がないようにしつつ、できるだけ管の奥まで嵌め込んだ。孔開けされたポリマー製のメッシュ・フィルタを両端に挿入し、続いて、各アームを約500mgのDowex Monosphere 550A LC NG強陰イオン交換樹脂で水酸化物イオンの形態において満たした。次いで、周辺端にポリマー製のメッシュ・フィルタを設け、イオン交換樹脂を所定の位置に維持した。その後、3つの装置を、1リットルの水、ph指示薬としての約10mgのブロモフェノール・ブルー、1gの塩化ナトリウム、及び0.08mlの37%(w/w)塩酸を含む調合された溶液をそれぞれ100ml含んでいる別個の三角フラスコ内に入れた。装置のうちの2つは、300rpmで機械的に回転させ(実験1.1及び実験1.2)、3つ目は回転させなかった(実験1.3)。実験1.2で使用する装置は、テープによって入口孔を塞いでいたため、そこから液体が流入又は流出できなくなっていた。実験1.1及び実験1.3では入口孔を塞がずにおいた。装置液体内での溶液とイオン交換樹脂との間での物質移動の効率は、指示薬が明らかに青色へと変化するまでの時間によって推定された。この実験の結果は、表1の通りである。
Claims (4)
- 流体媒質において生物学的変換若しくは化学的変換又は物理的捕捉若しくは化学的捕捉を実施する筒状の装置であって、
流れ分配器は、筒状の中空のパック形状、すなわち平らなディスク形状であって、前記流れ分配器の高さはその直径より小さく、中心軸に垂直な面における断面が円形であり、
前記流れ分配器は、当該流れ分配器の前記中心軸上に位置する、少なくとも1つの流体媒質入口、本体部の側面に位置する複数の流体媒質出口、及び前記変換又は前記捕捉が実施される少なくとも1つの閉込部を有し、
少なくとも1つの前記閉込部が、前記流体媒質が前記流体出口へ流出する前に、前記少なくとも1つの閉込部を通過するように設置され、
前記少なくとも1つの閉込部には、複数の扇形部が設けられており、当該扇形部は放射状に配置された分割要素により定義され、各扇形部は、少なくとも1つの前記流体媒質入口と、前記流体媒質出口に接続し、
前記扇形部は、固体反応部材を収納する1つ又は複数のカートリッジを含むのに適したものであり、前記流れと共に分布する少なくとも1つの物質を、生物学的若しくは化学的に変換することを可能とし、そして
前記流れ分配器を、その中心軸の周りで回転させる手段と
を備えた、装置。 - 前記流れ分配器は、当該分配器内の磁石による磁気作動に適したものであり、当該流れ分配器を回転させる手段は、磁気的回転手段である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記流れ分配器は、機械的な作動軸によって回転され、当該流れ分配器を回転させる前記手段が、外部作動装置である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 流れ分配器の中心軸上に位置する、少なくとも1つの流体媒質入口を有する、筒状の流れ分配器であって、
前記流れ分配器は、筒状の中空のパック形状、すなわち平らなディスク形状であって、前記流れ分配器の高さはその直径より小さく、前記中心軸に垂直な面における断面が円形であり、
前記流れ分配器は、側面に位置する複数の流体媒質出口、及び変換又は捕捉が実施される少なくとも1つの閉込部を有し、
少なくとも1つの前記閉込部は、流体媒質が前記流体出口へ流出する前に、前記少なくとも1つの閉込部を通過するように設置され、
前記少なくとも1つの閉込部には、複数の扇形部が設けられており、当該扇形部は放射状に配置された分割要素により定義され、各扇形部は、少なくとも1つの前記流体媒質入口と、前記流体媒質出口に接続し、
前記扇形部は、固体反応部材を収納する1つ又は複数のカートリッジを含むのに適したものであり、当該固体反応部材は、前記流れと共に分布する少なくとも1つの物質を、生物学的若しくは化学的に変換することを可能とし、そして
前記流れ分配器を、その中心軸の周りで回転させる、流れ分配器。
