Abstract
Description
少なくとも1つの流体媒質入口、少なくとも1つの流体媒質出口、並びに、入口及び出口に接続された少なくとも1つの閉込部を有し、変換又は捕捉が実施される流れ分配器と、
装置を回転、揺動、揺振、又は振動させる手段とを備えた装置を提供する。
ポリ(テトラフルオロエチレン)[PTFE]製の長さが46mmで内径及び外形がそれぞれ6.3mm及び6.5mmの管から、3つの同一の管状装置を実質的に図2に従って用意した。直径2mmのドリルを用いて、管の中央に互いに直角となる2組の孔を設け、そこに2つの環状の希土類永久磁石を両端からそれぞれ挿入し、中央の入口孔を塞がないようにしつつ、できるだけ管の奥まで嵌め込んだ。孔開けされたポリマー製のメッシュ・フィルタを両端に挿入し、続いて、各アームを約500mgのDowex Monosphere 550A LC NG強陰イオン交換樹脂で水酸化物イオンの形態において満たした。次いで、周辺端にポリマー製のメッシュ・フィルタを設け、イオン交換樹脂を所定の位置に維持した。その後、3つの装置を、1リットルの水、ph指示薬としての約10mgのブロモフェノール・ブルー、1gの塩化ナトリウム、及び0.08mlの37%(w/w)塩酸を含む調合された溶液をそれぞれ100ml含んでいる別個の三角フラスコ内に入れた。装置のうちの2つは、300rpmで機械的に回転させ(実験1.1及び実験1.2)、3つ目は回転させなかった(実験1.3)。実験1.2で使用する装置は、テープによって入口孔を塞いでいたため、そこから液体が流入又は流出できなくなっていた。実験1.1及び実験1.3では入口孔を塞がずにおいた。装置液体内での溶液とイオン交換樹脂との間での物質移動の効率は、指示薬が明らかに青色へと変化するまでの時間によって推定された。この実験の結果は、表1の通りである。
Claims (36)
- 流体媒質において生物学的変換若しくは化学的変換又は物理的捕捉若しくは化学的捕捉を実施する装置であって、
少なくとも1つの流体媒質入口、少なくとも1つの流体媒質出口、及び前記変換又は前記捕捉が実施される少なくとも1つの閉込部を有する、流れ分配器と、
装置を回転、揺動、揺振、又は振動させる手段と
を備えた、装置。 - 前記流れ分配器の前記閉込部が、流れによって分配された少なくとも1つの物質が化学的変換するのを可能にさせる1つ又は複数の固体部材を収容している、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記固体部材が前記閉込部内に配置された1つ又は複数のカートリッジに設けられている、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 前記カートリッジが交換可能とされている、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記閉込部が前記流れ分配器の中心軸線に対称に位置付けられた、請求項1から請求項4までのいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記1つ又は複数の閉込部が前記流れ分配器の周辺に配置された、請求項1から請求項4までのいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記流れ分配器が1つ又は複数の中央流体媒質入口を有する、請求項1から請求項6までのいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記流れ分配器が1つ又は複数の周辺流体媒質出口を有する、請求項1から請求項6までのいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記流れ分配器が、前記流体媒質入口の平面より上にある平面に配置された2つ以上の流体媒質出口と1つの流体媒質入口とを有する、請求項1から請求項8までのいずれかに記載の装置。
- 閉込部が、流体媒質が前記流体出口へと分岐する前に前記閉込部を通過するように配置された、請求項1から請求項9までのいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記流れ分配器が、前記中央流体媒質入口から前記周辺出口に延びる螺旋形状流路として実質的に構成された閉込部を有する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記流れ分配器が、少なくとも1つの物質を触媒して化学的反応を起こすことができる材料で作られ又は覆われている、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記流れ分配器が、前記流路に導入される少なくとも1つの物質を化学的に変換できる材料で覆われている、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記流れ分配器は、断面が実質的に円形であって、複数の扇形部が設けられており、各扇形部は中央に配置された前記流体媒質入口と定められた周辺流体媒質出口とに接続している、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記扇形部は、前記扇形部に導入される少なくとも1つの物質を生物学的若しくは化学的に変換、又は捕捉することができる同一の又は異なる固体部材が設けられている、請求項14に記載の装置。
- 前記流れ分配器は、複数の扇形部と、作動のための前記手段によって回転、揺動、揺振、又は振動するように適合された内側中央部とが設けられた外側又は周辺固定部を有する、請求項14に記載の装置。
- 前記装置を回転、揺動、揺振、又は振動させる前記手段が、磁界を作り出す部材である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記装置を回転、揺動、揺振、又は振動させる前記手段が、外部作動装置に機械的に連結された軸である、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 少なくとも1つの閉込部が、熱、冷却、音響エネルギー、光、又は他の種類の放射を提供する手段をさらに備え、前記提供する手段は前記作動機の軸を介して外部源に接触させられている、請求項18に記載の装置。
- 前記提供する手段がマイクロ波放射を提供するようにされている、請求項19に記載の装置。
- 前記提供する手段が紫外線又は可視光を提供するようにされている、請求項19に記載の装置。
- 前記提供する手段が音響エネルギーを提供するようにされている、請求項19に記載の装置。
- 少なくとも1つの閉込部が、試薬の添加、又は、生成物若しくは副生成物の除去をするために物質を交換する手段をさらに備えた、請求項18に記載の装置。
- 前記交換する手段が、前記流体媒質に含まれる少なくとも1つの物質、及び/又は、前記流れ分配器に配置された少なくとも1つの物質と反応できる気体を提供するようにされている、請求項23に記載の装置。
- 前記閉込部が触媒を包含する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記閉込部が、前記流体の流れによって運ばれる物質と化学的反応することができる物理的に捕捉された又は化学的に結合された試薬を含む固体部材を包含する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記閉込部が、前記流体の流れによって供給される物質を変換することができる固定化された生物学的実体である固体部材を包含する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記閉込部が、固相合成を実施するのに適切な支持材である固体部材を包含する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記閉込部が、前記流体の流れから物質を捕捉できる固体吸着剤である固体部材を包含する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記閉込部が、クロマトグラフィ分離に適した固定相である固体部材を包含する、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 2つ以上の閉込部が、直列に連結され、異なる固体部材で満たされている、請求項26から請求項30までのいずれかに記載の装置。
- 2つ以上の閉込部が、並列に連結され、異なる固体部材で満たされている、請求項26から請求項30までのいずれかに記載の装置。
- 直列及び並列に連結されて組み合わされた閉込部を備える、請求項31から請求項33までのいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記流れ分配器の前記内部流路が、内部の流れが主に慣性作用によって確立されるように構成された、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記流れ分配器の前記入口から前記出口の間に配置された流れ作動弁をさらに備え、速度を緩急させて装置を揺動又は装置を回転させることで液体が前記入口から前記出口へと流れる、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 流体媒質において生物学的変換若しくは化学的変換又は物理的捕捉若しくは化学的捕捉を実施する方法であって、
装置を回転、揺動、揺振、又は振動させることによって装置内に流体媒質の対流を作り出すステップを含み、
前記装置は、少なくとも1つの流体媒質入口と、少なくとも1つの流体媒質出口と、前記変換又は前記捕捉が実施される前記出口及び前記入り口に連結された少なくとも1つの閉込部とを有する、方法。
