1実施態様では、製品がジルコニアを含有せず、一方、他の実施態様では、ジルコニア(ZrO2)の質量での含量が、0.2%超、0.5%超、1.0%超、2.0%超であり、および/または4.5%未満、さらには4.0%未満である、
焼結製品におけるCr2O3、MgO、TiO2およびZrO2以外の酸化物種の質量での総含量が、酸化物に基づく重量%で、3.0%未満、好ましくは2.0%未満、好ましくは1.5%未満、好ましくは1.0%未満、好ましくは0.9%未満、より好ましくは0.7%未満、さらに好ましくは0.5%未満である、
酸化物が、製品の質量の95%超、98%超、99%超、さらには約100%を占める、
見かけ空隙率が15%未満、好ましくは10%未満、好ましくは5%未満、好ましくは2%未満、好ましくは1%未満である、
製品が、4.0g/cm3超の、好ましくは4.4g/cm3超の、好ましくは4.5g/cm3超の、さらには4.6g/cm3超の嵩密度を有する、および
製品が、ブロックの形状をとり、好ましくは5kg超の、好ましくは10kg超の質量を有する。
a)原料を混合して供給原料を形成すること、
b)上記供給原料から未焼成部分を成形すること、および
c)上記未焼成部分を焼結して上記焼結製品を得ること、
を含む。この方法は、上記焼結製品が本発明に従うように供給原料が決定されることに注目すべきである。
酸化物を提供する粒状の原料(酸化物の粉末および任意的にグロッグ)が各々、150μm未満、好ましくは100μm未満、好ましくは50μm未満のメジアンサイズを有する、
酸化物Cr2O3、TiO2およびMgO、および任意的にZrO2が、上記酸化物の粒子の形状で、および任意的に上記酸化物のグロッグの形状で供給原料に存在し、上記粒子の複数が一緒になって、50μm未満の、好ましくは40μm未満の、好ましくは20μm未満の、好ましくは10μm未満の、さらには5μm未満のメジアンサイズを有する粉末ブレンドを形成する、
酸化物Cr2O3を含む粒子の全体が、好ましくは、上記全体の重量に対する重量%として、70%超の、80%超の、90%超の、95%超の、99%超の、さらには約100%のCr2O3を含む、
酸化物TiO2を含む粒子の全体が、好ましくは、上記全体の重量に対する重量%として、70%超の、80%超の、90%超の、95%超の、99%超の、さらには約100%のTiO2を含む、
酸化物MgOを含む粒子の全体が、好ましくは、上記全体の重量に対する重量%として、70%超の、80%超の、90%超の、95%超の、99%超の、さらには100%のMgOを含む、
酸化物ZrO2を含む粒子の全体が、好ましくは、上記全体の重量に対する重量%として、70%超の、80%超の、90%超の、95%超の、99%超の、さらには約100%のZrO2を含む、
供給原料が、供給原料の酸化物に基づく重量%で、少なくとも10%のおよび/または50%未満のグロッグを含む、
供給原料におけるグロッグが、50μm未満の、好ましくは40μm未満の、好ましくは20μm未満のメジアンサイズを有する、
供給原料が、MgTiO3および/またはMg2TiO4および/またはMgTi2O5を含み、または実質的にそれらから成り、1実施態様では、50重量%超、75重量%超、さらには実質的に100重量%のMgOがMgTiO3の形状で供給される、および
成形操作が、等静圧圧縮によって行われる。
用語「不純物」は、原料とともに不可避的に導入される不可避の成分、またはこれらの成分との反応により生じる不可避の成分を意味すると理解される。不純物は必要な成分ではなく、単に許容される。
B2O3:0〜10%
CaO:16〜25%
Al2O3:12〜16%
SiO2:52〜62%
MgO:0〜5%

CaO<0.6%、好ましくはCaO<0.5%、好ましくはCaO<0.2%;および/または
SrO<0.6%、好ましくはSrO<0.5%、好ましくはSrO<0.2%;および/または
BaO<0.6%、好ましくはBaO<0.5%、好ましくはBaO<0.2%。
Pcr:約99.5%のCr2O3を含み、2.8μmのメジアンサイズを有する酸化クロム粉末;
Pti:約95%のTiO2を含み、2.3μmのメジアンサイズを有する酸化チタン粉末;
Pmt:約99%のMgOTiO2を含み、約3μmのメジアンサイズを有する粉末;
Pzr:約99%のZrO2を含み、約3.5μmのメジアンサイズを有する粉末;
グロッグ1:Cr2O3およびTiO2粉末から得られ、約91.5%のCr2O3、3.8%のTiO2および3.5%のZrO2を含み、50μm未満のメジアンサイズを有する;および
グロッグ2:Cr2O3およびTiO2粉末から得られ、約94.2%のCr2O3および3.8%のTiO2を含み、50μm未満のメジアンサイズを有する。
Claims (26)
- 10%未満の見かけ空隙率を有し、かつ、酸化物に基づく重量%で、下記の平均化学組成:
Cr2O3:80.0〜99.0%
1.0%<TiO2≦9.0%
0.3%<MgO≦3.0%
ZrO2 <4.5%
Cr 2 O 3 、TiO 2 、MgOおよびZrO 2 以外の酸化物<2.0%
を有する、ただし、TiO2/MgOモル比が1.5〜9.0であり、かつTiO2/Cr2O3モル比が0.12未満である、焼結製品。 - 嵩密度が4.0g/cm3超である、請求項1記載の製品。
- 上記モル比が、下記条件:
TiO2/MgO>2.5および/またはTiO2/MgO<8.0
を満たす、請求項1または2記載の製品。 - TiO 2 /MgOモル比が7.0未満である、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項記載の製品。
- 酸化物に基づく重量%として、0.5〜5.0%のZrO2を含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項記載の製品。
- MgO含量が、酸化物に基づく重量%として、1.5%未満である、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項記載の製品。
- 酸化物に基づいて1.5重量%未満の、Cr2O3、TiO2、MgOおよびZrO2以外の酸化物を含む、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項記載の製品。
- 酸化物に基づいて1.0重量%未満の、Cr2O3、TiO2、MgOおよびZrO2以外の酸化物を含む、請求項7記載の製品。
- 酸化物に基づいて0.5重量%未満の、Cr 2 O 3 、TiO 2 、MgOおよびZrO 2 以外の酸化物を含む、請求項8記載の製品。
- 少なくとも酸化物Cr2O3、MgOおよびTiO2が該酸化物の粒子および任意的に該酸化物のグロッグ粒子の形状で存在しているところの供給原料、ここで該粒子の複数は一緒になって、50μm未満のメジアンサイズを有する粉末ブレンドを形成している、から製造された、請求項1〜9のいずれか1項記載の製品。
- 少なくとも酸化物Cr2O3、MgOおよびTiO2が該酸化物の粒子および任意的に該酸化物のグロッグ粒子の形状で存在しているところの供給原料、ここで該粒子の複数は一緒になって、10μm未満のメジアンサイズを有する粉末ブレンドを形成している、から製造された、請求項10記載の製品。
- 酸化物に基づく重量%として少なくとも10%のグロッグを含む供給原料から製造された、請求項1〜11のいずれか1項記載の製品。
- 酸化物粉末および任意的にグロッグが各々150μm未満のメジアンサイズを有するところの供給原料から製造された、請求項1〜12のいずれか1項記載の製品。
- Fe2O3<0.2%および/またはP2O5<1%および/またはSiO2<0.5%である、請求項1〜13のいずれか1項記載の製品。
- 5kg超の質量を有するブロックの形状である、請求項1〜14のいずれか1項記載の製品。
- CaO含量が0.6%未満である、請求項15記載の製品。
- TiO 2 含量が1.5%超である、請求項1〜16のいずれか1項記載の製品。
- TiO 2 含量が2.5%超である、請求項17記載の製品。
- 供給原料が少なくとも10%および/または50%未満のグロッグを含む、請求項1〜18のいずれか1項記載の製品。
- MgTiO 3 および/またはMg 2 TiO 4 および/またはMgTi 2 O 5 を含む粒子を含む供給原料から形成された未焼成部分を焼結することにより得られた、請求項1〜19のいずれか1項記載の製品。
- MgOの50重量%超がMgTiO 3 の形態で供給されたものである、請求項20記載の製品。
- 請求項1〜21のいずれか1項記載の製品を含む設備において、1000℃より高い温度での酸化環境とまたは溶融ガラスによって放出された煙道ガスと接触しそうな該設備の領域に該製品が置かれている、上記設備。
- 請求項1〜17のいずれか1項記載の製品を含むタンクにおいて、溶融ガラスと接触しそうな該タンクの領域に該製品が置かれている、上記タンク。
- 下記工程:
a)原料を混合して供給原料を形成すること、
b)上記供給原料から未焼成部分を成形すること、および
c)上記未焼成部分を焼結して焼結製品を得ること、
を含む、請求項1〜21のいずれか1項記載の製品を製造する方法において、上記供給原料が、焼結された製品が請求項1〜21のいずれか1項記載のものであるように決定されることを特徴とする、前記方法。 - 供給原料がMgTiO 3 および/またはMg 2 TiO 4 および/またはMgTi 2 O 5 を含む粒子を含む、請求項24記載の方法。
- 酸化物Cr 2 O 3 、TiO 2 およびMgO、および任意的にZrO 2 が、上記酸化物の粒子の形状で、および任意的に上記酸化物のグロッグの形状で供給原料に存在し、上記粒子の複数が一緒になって、50μm未満のメジアンサイズを有する粉末ブレンドを形成する、請求項24または25記載の方法。
