Description
第1の実施形態の定着装置を図1乃至図7を参照して説明する。図1は、実施形態の画像形成装置の一例であるMFP(Multi-Function Peripherals)10を示す。MFP10は、例えば、スキャナ12、コントロールパネル13、給紙カセット部16、給紙トレイ17、プリンタ部18および排紙部20を備える。MFP10は、本体制御回路101を制御して、MFP10全体を制御するCPU100を備える
スキャナ12は、プリンタ部18で画像形成するための原稿画像を読み取る。コントロールパネル13は、例えば入力キー13aとタッチパネル式の表示部13bを備える。入力キー13aは例えばユーザによる入力を受け付ける。表示部13bは例えばユーザによる入力を受け付け、或いはユーザへの表示を行う。
ウォーミングアップ時、定着装置34は、プレスローラ51を矢印q方向に回転して、定着ベルト50を矢印u方向に従動回転する。インバータ駆動回路68による高周波電流の印加によりIHコイルユニット52は、定着ベルト50方向に磁束を発生する。
定着ベルト50が定着温度に達して、ウォーミングアップを終了すると、MFP10はプリント操作を開始する。MFP10は、プリンタ部18でシートPにトナー像を形成して、シートPを定着装置34方向に搬送する。
例えば高速にて連続して定着操作を行った場合、定着ベルト50を定着温度に保持しようとすると、整磁合金層70は次第に温度上昇する。整磁合金層70の温度がキュリー温度Tcに近づく移行領域βに達すると、整磁合金層70の透磁率は急激に低下する。更に整磁合金層70は、キュリー温度Tcに達すると、透磁率が実質的にゼロになり、発熱量はゼロになる。
第2の実施形態の定着装置を、図9及び図10を参照して説明する。第2の実施形態は、第1の実施形態における磁性板に更に補助発熱部を配置するものである。第2の実施形態にあって、前述の第1の実施形態で説明した構成と同一構成については同一符号を付して詳細な説明を省略する。

Claims (4)
- 導電層を備えるエンドレスの発熱部と、
前記導電層に誘導電流を発生する誘導電流発生部と、
前記発熱部を介して前記誘導電流発生部と対向する位置にある感温磁性体と、
前記感温磁性体を介して前記発熱部と対向する位置にある磁性板とを備え、
前記誘導電流発生部は、磁束発生部と、スリット状の磁性体を前記磁束発生部の長手方向の中心線を軸対称として交互に複数配置して、前記磁束発生部の磁束を片翼ずつ交互に規制する第1の磁束規制部と、前記第1の磁束規制部の両側に配置され、前記中心線を軸対称として前記磁束発生部の両翼の磁束を規制する第2の磁束規制部とを備え、
前記感温磁性体は、前記第2の磁束規制部より突出する幅を備え、
前記磁性板は、前記第1の磁束規制部の幅と等しい幅を備えることを特徴とする定着装置。 - 前記磁性板は、前記発熱部の長手方向に複数段の幅を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の定着装置。
- 前記磁性板は、前記感温磁性体との間にギャップを備えることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の定着装置。
- 記録媒体に画像を形成する画像形成部と、
前記画像を前記記録媒体に定着する請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか1項に記載の定着装置とを備えることを特徴とする画像形成装置。
