により表される繰り返し単位を有するのが好ましい。
−A−C(=O)−B−C(=O)− I
−A−C(=O)−D−C(=O)− II
(式中、Aは、−Ph−O−Ph−基であり、Phは、フェニレン遊離基であり、Bは、P−フェニレンであり、Dは、m−フェニレンである)
により表される繰り返し単位を含んでなることができる。ポリエーテルケトンケトン中の式I:式II(T:I)の異性体の比率は、約100:0〜約0:100に及ぶことができる。
航空機の使用に適切なタイプの軽量多層絶縁ブランケットを以下の通りに作製してよい。OXPEKK−SPから構成されるフェルトをメルトブローンにより不織布ブランケットに成形することにより、前記ブランケット用の絶縁用挿入物(insulating insert)を調製する。CO2注入および膨張のようなプロセス(米国ワシントン州のMicroGreenにより実施)を用いる良好な制御で、フェルトマットを発砲状に膨張させるが依然不織布フェルトマットであることを維持し、重量を増加させることなくデッドスペースを用いて、嵩および絶縁能力を増大させる。このフェルト挿入物をトリムして、フェルト絶縁体を含有するようにヒートシールされている薄膜シェル(OXPEKK−Cのが好ましい)の内側に取り付ける。任意に外側シェルにアルミめっきを施して、或いは、放射熱を排除するように処理して、効力を増して耐炎性を向上させてもよい。そのように作製されたブランケットは、重量が非常に重んじられる航空機の用途において、ガラス繊維ウールを使用する既存のブランケットに取って代わることが可能である。
PEKK不織布繊維の製造
T:I比率の低い、無定形等級の、ポリエーテルケトンケトン、PEKK(例、Oxford Performance materialsからのOXPEKK SP)を120℃で一晩乾燥させた後、押出して、図1に示すような標準の繊維紡糸装置を用いて、繊維に成形した。
図1に示した装置と同様な繊維紡糸装置を用いるが、2台の押出機と、紡糸口金に供給する2台のギアポンプとを装備し、2層の繊維を共押出システムで生産する。温度と条件は、上記と同様である。押出機のサイズとスクリューの速度によって、異なるポリマーの流速を調節して、所望の厚さの層を成形する。通常、T:I比率がより高いポリマーは、より堅くなるだろうが、繊維の中心に位置する。そして、T:I比率がより低いポリマーは、低温において柔らかくなるだろうが、繊維の周囲に位置する。この場合、第一押出機は、繊維の中心のためのT:I比率が高い材料を処理しているが、T:I比率が低い材料を処理している第二押出機よりも僅かに高い温度(30〜50℃)で第一押出機を稼働する。
Claims (10)
- 1種以上のポリエーテルケトンケトンの繊維を含んでなる少なくとも2つの構成部分を含んでなる不織布マットであって、前記ポリエーテルケトンケトンが、式I(異性体T)および式II(異性体I):
−A−C(=O)−B−C(=O)− I
−A−C(=O)−D−C(=O)− II
(式中、Aは、−Ph−O−Ph−基であり、Phは、フェニレン遊離基であり、Bは、P−フェニレンであり、Dは、m−フェニレンである)
によって表される繰り返し単位を有し、かつ少なくとも1つの構成部分が、別の構成部分のポリエーテルケトンケトンに比べると低いT:I異性体比率を有するポリエーテルケトンケトンを含んでなる不織布マット。 - 少なくとも1つの構成部分が、少なくとも約60:40のT:I異性体比率を有するポリエーテルケトンケトンの繊維を含んでなり、少なくとも1つの構成部分が、約60:40より小さいT:I異性体比率を有するポリエーテルケトンケトンの繊維を含んでなる請求項1に記載の不織布マット。
- 1種以上のポリエーテルケトンケトンの繊維を含んでなる第一層と、1種以上のポリエーテルケトンケトンの繊維を含んでなる第二層とを含んでなる請求項1に記載の不織布マットであって、前記ポリエーテルケトンケトンが、式I(異性体T)および式II(異性体I):
−A−C(=O)−B−C(=O)− I
−A−C(=O)−D−C(=O)− II
(式中、Aは、−Ph−O−Ph−基であり、Phは、フェニレン遊離基であり、Bは、P−フェニレンであり、Dは、m−フェニレンである)
によって表される繰り返し単位を有し、前記第二層のポリエーテルケトンケトンが、前記第一層のポリエーテルケトンケトンに比べると低いT:I異性体比率を有する不織布マット。 - 前記第一層のポリエーテルケトンケトンが、少なくとも約60:40のT:I異性体比率を有する請求項3に記載の不織布マット。
- 前記第一層のポリエーテルケトンケトンが、約80:20のT:I異性体比率を有する請求項3に記載の不織布マット。
- 前記第二層のポリエーテルケトンケトンが、約60:40より小さいT:I異性体比率を有する請求項3に記載の不織布マット。
- 1種以上のポリエーテルケトンケトンの繊維を含んでなる少なくとも1つのコア層と、1種以上のポリエーテルケトンケトンの繊維を含んでなる少なくとも1つのシェル層とを含んでなる請求項1に記載の不織布マットであって、前記ポリエーテルケトンケトンが、式I(異性体T)および式II(異性体I):
−A−C(=O)−B−C(=O)− I
−A−C(=O)−D−C(=O)− II
(式中、Aは、−Ph−O−Ph−基であり、Phは、フェニレン遊離基であり、Bは、P−フェニレンであり、Dは、m−フェニレンである)
によって表される繰り返し単位を有し、かつ前記シェル層のポリエーテルケトンケトンが、前記コア層のポリエーテルケトンケトンよりも低いT:I異性体比率を有する不織布マット。 - 前記コア層のポリエーテルケトンケトンが、少なくとも約60:40のT:I異性体比率を有する請求項7に記載の不織布マット。
- 前記コア層のポリエーテルケトンケトンが、約80:20のT:I異性体比率を有する請求項7に記載の不織布マット。
- 前記シェル層のポリエーテルケトンケトンが、約60:40より小さいT:I異性体比率を有する請求項7に記載の不織布マット。
