Description
−添加剤供給ラインを介して燃料循環経路内へと添加剤を供給し得る液体添加剤リザーバと、
−燃料循環経路に連通した添加剤チャンバと、
−この添加剤チャンバと添加剤リザーバとの間に位置した少なくとも1つの可撓性のなおかつ流体密封性の壁と、
を具備し、
壁が、一方においては、流体密封的な区画機能をもたらし、他方においては、添加剤リザーバ内の添加剤と添加剤チャンバ内の燃料との間における圧力均衡を維持する。
それら添加剤は、一般に20℃〜45℃といったような動作温度範囲においては、理想的には液体である。しかしながら、添加剤は、例えばゲルや、燃料との接触時に燃料内に溶解するような固体や、燃料との接触時に燃料内に懸濁液を形成する固体、といったような他の物理的な態様とすることもできる。燃料内の懸濁液の場合は、後述するように、コロイド状懸濁液の場合に起こる。すべての場合において、添加剤が燃料内に供給された後には、燃料は、視覚的に一様な外見を呈する。添加剤は、とりわけ白金やストロンチウムやナトリウムやマグネシウムやセリウムや鉄やこれらの組合せといったような触媒的スス燃焼に効果的であるような任意のタイプの触媒を包含することができる。
−有機物相と、
−上記のタイプ(特に、希土類、および/または、周期表のIIA,IVA,VIIA,VIII,IB,IIB,IIIB,IVBグループの中から選択された金属)の、添加剤の粒子と、
−少なくとも1つの両親媒性の物質と、
を備えることができる。

によって規定することができる。ここでは、Eは、例えば希土類や鉄やそれらの混合物といったような添加剤を意味している。
燃料は、FBCsとは異なる添加剤であって触媒以外の機能を有した他の公知のタイプの添加剤を含有することができる。そのような添加剤は、エンジン内における燃料の分布を改良することができる、および/または、エンジンの動作を改良することができる、および/または、エンジンの動作の安定性をさらに改良することができる。

Claims (22)
- 内燃エンジンのための燃料循環経路(1)内へと液体添加剤を供給するためのデバイスであって、
前記燃料循環経路が、自動車内において、燃料タンク(2)の内部と前記内燃エンジンとの間にわたって燃料を循環させるものであり、
前記デバイスが、
−燃料入口(13)と、
−燃料出口(14)と、
−前記燃料入口および前記燃料出口から離間して配置された添加剤供給開口(17)と、
−前記燃料循環経路(1)に連通した添加剤チャンバ(22)と、
−添加剤供給ライン(16)と、
−前記添加剤供給ライン(16)を介して前記燃料循環経路(1)内へと添加剤を供給し得る液体添加剤リザーバ(12)と、
を具備し、
このようなデバイスにおいて、
前記デバイスが、
−前記添加剤チャンバ(22)と前記添加剤リザーバ(12)との間に位置した少なくとも1つの可撓性のなおかつ流体密封性の壁(32,33,34)であるとともに、前記壁が、一方においては、流体密封的な区画機能をもたらし、他方においては、前記添加剤リザーバ(12)内の添加剤と前記添加剤チャンバ(22)内の燃料との間における圧力均衡を維持する、少なくとも1つの可撓性のなおかつ流体密封性の壁(32,33,34)と、
−前記添加剤供給開口(17)と、前記燃料入口(13)または前記燃料出口(14)と、の間に負圧を生成するための手段と、
−前記燃料入口(13)と、前記燃料出口(14)と、前記添加剤供給開口(17)と、前記添加剤供給ライン(16)と、負圧を生成するための前記手段と、を備えた供給ヘッド(10)であるとともに、前記添加剤供給開口(17)が、前記負圧生成手段のところに配置され、前記負圧生成手段が、ダイヤフラムまたはベンチュリ(21)とされた、供給ヘッド(10)と、
を具備し、
前記添加剤チャンバ(22)と、前記添加剤リザーバ(12)と、前記可撓性のなおかつ流体密封性の壁とが、前記供給ヘッド(10)に対して着脱可能に取り付けられたカートリッジ(11)の構成部材であり、
前記添加剤供給ライン(16)が、前記添加剤チャンバ(22)に対して、流体密封的に連結されていることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項1記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記添加剤リザーバ(12)が、フレキシブルパウチ(32)とされ、
前記フレキシブルパウチ(32)が、可撓性のなおかつ流体密封性の前記壁を構成していることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項1記載のデバイスにおいて、
可撓性のなおかつ流体密封性の前記壁が、メンブラン(33)によって形成されていることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項1記載のデバイスにおいて、
可撓性のなおかつ流体密封性の前記壁が、ピストン(34)によって形成されていることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記供給ヘッドが、前記添加剤供給ライン(16)を完全にまたは部分的に閉塞するための手段(15)を具備し、
前記添加剤供給ライン(16)が、前記添加剤リザーバ(12)から前記添加剤供給開口(17)へと、前記液体添加剤を通過させることができることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項5記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記添加剤供給ラインを閉塞するための前記手段(15)が、電気的機械的手段とされていることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記デバイスが、燃料フィルタを具備し、
この燃料フィルタが、前記カートリッジ(11)内に配置された少なくとも1つのフィルタ部材(25)を備えていることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項7記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記フィルタ部材(25)が、環状形状のものとされ、
前記添加剤リザーバ(12)が、前記フィルタ部材(25)の内部において同心的に配置されていることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項7記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記フィルタ部材(25)が、環状形状のものとされ、
前記添加剤リザーバ(12)が、前記フィルタ部材(25)の外部において同心的に配置されていることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項7記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記フィルタ部材(25)と前記添加剤リザーバ(12)とが、軸線方向において並置されていることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項7〜10のいずれか1項に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記フィルタ部材(25)を横断して燃料が流れるものとされ、
前記フィルタ部材(25)のうちの、未濾過の燃料が位置する上流側(28)が、前記燃料タンク(2)と前記フィルタ部材(25)との間に位置し、
前記フィルタ部材(25)のうちの、濾過済みの燃料が位置する下流側(29)が、前記フィルタ部材(25)と前記内燃エンジンとの間に位置し、
前記添加剤が、前記上流側(28)へと供給されることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項7〜10のいずれか1項に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記フィルタ部材(25)を横断して燃料が流れるものとされ、
前記フィルタ部材(25)のうちの、未濾過の燃料が位置する上流側(28)が、前記燃料タンク(2)と前記フィルタ部材(25)との間に位置し、
前記フィルタ部材(25)のうちの、濾過済みの燃料が位置する下流側(29)が、前記フィルタ部材(25)と前記内燃エンジンとの間に位置し、
前記添加剤が、前記下流側(29)へと供給されることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記添加剤が、前記内燃エンジンの噴射システムの下流側においてかつ前記燃料タンク(2)の上流側において、前記内燃エンジンの燃料戻りライン(6)へと供給されることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項7〜12のいずれか1項に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記濾過部材(25)が、燃料が横断するようにして配置されていて、上流側(28)と下流側(29)とを規定しており、
前記壁(32,33,34)が、前記添加剤リザーバ(12)と前記上流側(28)との間に位置していることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項7〜12のいずれか1項に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記濾過部材(25)が、燃料が横断するようにして配置されていて、上流側(28)と下流側(29)とを規定しており、
前記壁(32,33,34)が、前記添加剤リザーバ(12)と前記下流側(29)との間に位置していることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項1〜15のいずれか1項に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記添加剤チャンバ(22)が、自動車の前記燃料タンク(2)の内部に配置されていることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項1〜16のいずれか1項に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記燃料循環経路(1)が、さらに、前記内燃エンジンから前記燃料タンク(2)の内部へと向かう燃料戻りラインを備えていることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項1〜17のいずれか1項に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記添加剤が、希土類をベースとしたあるいは周期表のIIA,IVA,VIIA,VIII,IB,IIB,IIIB,IVBグループの中から選択された金属をベースとした、粒子状物質フィルタ再生用の添加剤とされていることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項18記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記添加剤が、コロイド状分散液の態様とされていることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項19記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記コロイド状分散液の粒子が、セリウムをベースとしたものおよび/または鉄をベースとしたものとされていることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項18〜20のいずれか1項に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記添加剤が、粒子と有機物相と少なくとも1つの両親媒性物質とを有してなるコロイド状分散液と、カンターナリーアンモニウム塩をベースとした洗浄剤と、の組合せとされていることを特徴とするデバイス。 - 請求項1〜21のいずれか1項に記載のデバイスにおいて、
前記添加剤が、洗浄性添加剤と潤滑性添加剤との組合せとされていることを特徴とするデバイス。
