上記のR1〜R7において、アルキル基の炭素原子数は好ましくは1〜6である。
120mLのオートクレイブ中に、フェノールカリウム4.5g(34ミリモル)、フェノール3.2g(34ミリモル)、アルコール化合物および/またはエーテル化合物としてピナコール0.80g(6.8ミリモル)、および軽油45gを入れて攪拌し、窒素置換した後、密閉した。
反応時間を4時間とした以外は実施例1と同様にして反応を行った。
得られた媒体層と水層を高速液体クロマトグラフィーで定量分析した結果、フェノールカリウムからの転化率は、4−ヒドロキシ安息香酸14.7%、2−ヒドロキシ安息香酸24.7%であった。
ピナコールを加えない以外は、実施例1と同様にして反応を行った。得られた媒体層と水層を高速液体クロマトグラフィーで定量分析したが、4−ヒドロキシ安息香酸は検出されず、2−ヒドロキシ安息香酸も痕跡量であった。
アルコール化合物および/またはエーテル化合物、反応時間及び反応温度を表1に示すように変更した以外は実施例1と同様にして反応を行った。
120mLのオートクレイブ中に、フェノールナトリウム4.5g(38.8ミリモル)、フェノール3.2g(34.0ミリモル)、ピナコール0.92g(7.8ミリモル)、および軽油45gを入れて攪拌し、窒素置換した後、密閉した。
ピナコールを加えない以外は、実施例20と同様にして反応を行った。
120mLのオートクレイブ中に、2−ナフトールカリウム4.2g(23ミリモル)、ピナコール0.54g(4.6ミリモル)、および直鎖型アルキルベンゼン(アルケン200P)42gを入れて攪拌し、窒素置換した後、密閉した。
ピナコールを加えない以外は、実施例21と同様にして反応を行った。得られた媒体層と水層を高速液体クロマトグラフィーで定量分析した結果、2−ナフトールカリウムからの転化率は、2−ヒドロキシ−3−ナフトエ酸(BON3)2.4%、6−ヒドロキシ−2−ナフトエ酸(BON6)0.8%であった。
Claims (3)
- 媒体中で芳香族ヒドロキシ化合物のアルカリ金属塩と二酸化炭素とを反応させる工程を含む芳香族ヒドロキシカルボン酸の製造方法において、芳香族ヒドロキシ化合物のアルカリ金属塩1モルに対して、ピナコール0.01〜1.0モルを存在させて反応を行う工程を含むことを特徴とする、芳香族ヒドロキシカルボン酸の製造方法。
- 芳香族ヒドロキシ化合物のアルカリ金属塩が、フェノールナトリウム、フェノールカリウムおよび2−ナフトールカリウムからなる群から選択される少なくとも1種である、請求項1に記載の芳香族ヒドロキシカルボン酸の製造方法。
- 反応時の温度が20〜220℃である、請求項1または2に記載の芳香族ヒドロキシカルボン酸の製造方法。
