形状記憶性質及び約15mmの直径を有するポリマーロッドは、15mmのダイを通じて、35%w/wの塩化ナトリウムを含有するポリ(DLラクタイドCOグリコライド)80:15(Poly(D,L−lactide−co−glycolide)80:15)の30mmの直径のビレットをダイドローイングすることによって製造された。該ポリマーロッドは複数のサンプルを製造するために機械加工され、それぞれ約13mmの直径及び約35mmの長さを有した。2つの対称的な半体と、41.35mmの長さ及び13.78mmの直径(ねじの最も狭い部分)のねじ穴とを有する金型は、きつく結ばれ、炉内で80℃まで加熱された。機械加工されたサンプルは、金型のねじ穴内に配置され、且つ2.5分間炉内で加熱された。金型は次いで、炉から取り出され、液体窒素内への浸漬によって冷却されて破壊された。金型が冷却されると、金型は液体窒素から取り出され、且つ開かれた。サンプルは、金型におけるねじ穴の形状になるように回復された形状を有した。成形されたサンプルは半分に切断され、該サンプルの一方は約90℃の熱湯内に配置され、形状回復プロセスが停止すると取り除かれる。サンプルが乾燥すると、その直径は22.7mmとして測定され、理論的に回復した直径の87%まで回復する。成形処理中に導入されたねじ部のピッチ及び深さはまた、実質的に減少される。

Claims (7)
- 近位部分と、
ねじ部を有している遠位部分と、
