Description
Claims (24)
- ディスプレイ、メモリ、及びユーザーインターフェースボタンに接続されたマイクロプロセッサを有する糖尿病管理ユニットを使用して得られた血糖値における高値又は低値傾向をユーザーに通知する方法であって、該方法が、
前記マイクロプロセッサを使用して、前記ユーザーの複数回の血糖測定を実施する工程と、
前記ユーザーの前記複数回の血糖測定値を前記メモリに保存する工程と、
一日の間の所与の時刻に測定された最新の血糖測定値が、血液1デシリットル当たり約70mgのグルコースである第1の閾値を下回っているか、又は血液1デシリットル当たり約150mgのグルコースである第2の閾値を上回っているかを判定する工程と、
前記最新の血糖測定値の前記所与の時刻前後の約3時間の時間枠内と同一の時間枠内で過去の数日を通じて実施された前記複数の血糖測定のうちの少なくとも1つの血糖測定値が、前記第1の閾値より低いか又は前記第2の閾値より高いかを、マイクロプロセッサを使用して評価する工程と、
前記少なくとも1つの血糖測定値が前記第1の閾値より低い又は前記第2の閾値より高いという前記評価が達成され次第、過去の数日の間の同一時間枠において、前記複数の血糖測定値が、前記第1の閾値より低い血糖測定値の傾向又は前記第2の閾値より高い血糖測定値の傾向を示すことを通知する工程と、
を含む方法。 - ディスプレイ、メモリ、及びユーザーインターフェースボタンに接続されたマイクロプロセッサを有する糖尿病管理ユニットを使用して得られた血糖値における高値又は低値傾向をユーザーに通知する方法であって、該方法が、
前記マイクロプロセッサを使用して、前記ユーザーの複数回の血糖測定を実施する工程と、
前記複数回の血糖測定をメモリに保存する工程と、
一日の間の所与の時刻における最新の血糖測定値が、第1の閾値を下回る又は第2の閾値を上回るかどうかを判定する工程と、
前記最新の血糖測定値の前記所与の時刻前後のX時間の時間枠内と同一の時間枠内でN日間を通じて実施された前記複数回の血糖測定の少なくとも1つの血糖測定値が、前記第1の閾値より低いか又は前記第2の閾値より高いかを、マイクロプロセッサを使用して評価する工程と、
前記評価する工程が達成され次第、前記N日間を通じた同一時間枠において、前記複数回の血糖測定が、低閾値より低い血糖傾向又は第2の閾値より高い血糖傾向を示すことを通知する工程と、を含む方法。 - ディスプレイ、メモリ、及びユーザーインターフェースボタンに接続されたマイクロプロセッサを有する糖尿病管理ユニットを使用して得られた血糖値における高値又は低値傾向をユーザーに通知する方法であって、該方法が、
前記マイクロプロセッサを使用して、前記ユーザーの複数回の血糖測定を実施する工程と、
前記複数回の血糖測定をメモリに保存する工程と、
一日の間の所与の時刻における最新の血糖測定値が第1の閾値を下回るかどうかを判定する工程と、
前記最新の血糖測定値の前記所与の時刻前後のX時間の時間枠内と同一の時間枠内でN日間を通じて実施された前記複数回の血糖測定の少なくとも1つの血糖測定値が、前記第1の閾値より低いかどうかを、マイクロプロセッサを使用して評価する工程と、
前記評価する工程が達成され次第、前記N日間を通じた同一時間枠において、前記複数の血糖測定値が、前記低閾値より低い血糖傾向を示すことを通知する工程と、を含む方法。 - ディスプレイ、メモリ、及びユーザーインターフェースボタンに接続されたマイクロプロセッサを有する糖尿病管理ユニットを使用して得られた血糖値における高値又は低値傾向をユーザーに通知する方法であって、該方法が、
前記マイクロプロセッサを使用して、前記ユーザーの複数回の血糖測定を実施する工程と、
前記複数回の血糖測定をメモリに保存する工程と、
一日の間の所与の時刻における最新の血糖測定値が第2の閾値より高いかどうかを判定する工程と、
前記最新の血糖測定値の前記所与の時刻前後のX時間の時間枠内と同一の時間枠内でN日間を通じて実施された前記複数回の血糖測定の少なくとも1つの血糖測定値が、前記第2の閾値より高いかどうかを、マイクロプロセッサを使用して評価する工程と、
前記評価する工程が達成され次第、前記N日間を通じた同一時間枠において、前記複数回の血糖測定値が、前記第2の閾値より高い血糖傾向を示すことを通知する工程と、を含む方法。 - 前記判定する工程は、前記最新の血糖測定値が(a)食前に行われた測定値又は(b)空腹期間中に行われた測定値であるとフラグ付けされたかどうかを確認することを更に含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 最近のN日間が、約2〜約14の任意の数を含む、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記X時間が、約0〜約7時間の間の任意の数を含む、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記X時間が、約0〜約3時間の間の任意の数を含む、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の閾値が、血液1デシリットル当たり約70mgのグルコースを含む、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の閾値が、血液1デシリットル当たり約150mgのグルコースを含む、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記通知する工程が、第1の閾値を下回る保存された血糖値の分布を、それぞれの保存された血糖値に対して得られた対応する日付及び時刻を有して表示することを含む、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記通知する工程が、第2の閾値を上回る保存された血糖値を、それぞれの保存された血糖値に対して得られた対応する日付及び時刻を有して表示することを含む、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記通知する工程が、日付と、時刻と、かかる日付及び時刻における前記第1の閾値を下回る測定血糖値と、を有する表を表示することを含む、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記通知する工程が、日付と、時刻と、かかる日付及び時刻における前記第2の閾値を上回る測定血糖値と、を有する表を表示することを含む、請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記通知する工程が、概して同じ意味を有する異なるメッセージフォーマットを通知することを含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 糖尿病管理システムであって、
グルコース試験ストリップと、
糖尿病管理ユニットと、を含み、該糖尿病管理ユニットが、
前記グルコース試験ストリップを収容するように構成された試験ストリップポートを含むハウジングと、
複数のユーザーインターフェースボタンと、
前記試験ストリップポートに接続されて、前記試験ストリップの上に沈着したユーザーの生理液中の測定されたグルコースの量に関するデータを提供するマイクロプロセッサと、を含み、
該マイクロプロセッサは、メモリ、及びユーザーインターフェースボタンに更に接続され、該マイクロプロセッサが、
(a)前記ユーザーの複数回の血糖測定を実施する、
(b)前記複数回の血糖測定値を保存する、
(c)一日の間の所与の時刻における最新の血糖測定値が、第1の閾値を下回るか又は第2の閾値を上回るかどうかを判定する、
(d)前記最新の血糖測定値の、前記所与の時刻前後のX時間の時間枠内と同一の時間枠内でN日間を通じて実施された前記複数回の血糖測定の少なくとも1つの血糖測定値が、前記第1の低閾値より低いか又は前記第2の閾値より高いかかどうかを評価する、及び
(e)前記評価する工程が達成され次第、前記N日間を通じた少なくとも2日の同一時間枠内で、前記複数回の血糖測定が、前記低閾値より低い傾向又は前記第2の閾値より高い傾向を示していることを通知する、
ようにプログラムされる、糖尿病管理システム。 - 糖尿病管理システムであって、
グルコース試験ストリップと、
糖尿病管理ユニットと、を含み、該糖尿病管理ユニットが、
前記グルコース試験ストリップを収容するように構成された試験ストリップポートを含むハウジングと、
複数のユーザーインターフェースボタンと、
前記試験ストリップポートに接続されて、前記試験ストリップの上に沈着したユーザーの生理液中の測定されたグルコースの量に関するデータを提供するマイクロプロセッサと、
を含み、該マイクロプロセッサが、メモリ、及びユーザーインターフェースボタンに更に接続され、該マイクロプロセッサが、
(a)前記ユーザーの複数回の血糖測定を実施する、
(b)前記複数回の血糖測定を保存する、
(c)一日の間の所与の時刻における最新の血糖測定値が、第1の閾値を下回るかどうかを判定する、
(d)前記最新の血糖測定値の、前記所与の時刻前後のX時間の時間枠内と同一の時間枠内でN日間を通じて実施された前記複数回の血糖測定の少なくとも1つの血糖測定値が、前記第1の低閾値より低いかどうかを評価する、及び
(e)前記評価が達成され次第、前記N日間を通じた少なくとも2日の同一時間枠内で、前記複数回の血糖測定値が低閾値より低い傾向を示していることを通知する、
ようにプログラムされる、糖尿病管理システム。 - 糖尿病管理システムにおいて、
グルコース試験ストリップと、
糖尿病管理ユニットと、を含み、該糖尿病管理ユニットが、
前記グルコース試験ストリップを収容するように構成された試験ストリップポートを含むハウジングと、
複数のユーザーインターフェースボタンと、
前記試験ストリップポートに接続されて、前記試験ストリップの上に沈着したユーザーの生理液中の測定されたグルコースの量に関するデータを提供するマイクロプロセッサと、を含み、
該マイクロプロセッサは、メモリ、及びユーザーインターフェースボタンに更に接続され、
(a)前記ユーザーの複数回の血糖測定を実施する、
(b)前記複数回の血糖測定を保存する、
(c)一日の間の所与の時刻における最新の血糖測定値が第2の閾値を上回るかどうかを判定する、
(d)前記最新の血糖測定値の、前記所与の時刻前後のX時間の時間枠内と同一の時間枠内でN日間を通じて実施された前記複数回の血糖測定の少なくとも1つの血糖測定値が、前記第2の閾値より高いかどうかを判定する、及び
(e)前記評価が達成され次第、前記N日間を通じた少なくとも2日の同一時間枠内で、前記複数回の血糖測定値が低閾値より低い傾向又は第2の閾値より高い傾向を示していることを通知する、ようにプログラムされる、
糖尿病管理システム。 - 前記マイクロプロセッサが、前記最新の血糖測定値が、(a)食前に行われた測定値又は(b)空腹期間といった所与の条件のうちの1つであるとしてフラグ付けされたかどうかを確認するように更にプログラムされる、請求項16〜18のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
- 前記マイクロプロセッサが、前記所与の条件として、前記最新の血糖測定値が第1の閾値を下回るかどうかを確認するように更にプログラムされる、請求項19に記載のシステム。
- 最近のN日間が、約2〜約14の任意の数を含み、前記X時間が、約0〜約7時間の間の任意の数を含む、請求項19に記載のシステム。
- 前記X時間が、約0〜約3時間の間の任意の数を含む、請求項16に記載のシステム。
- 前記第1の閾値が、血液1デシリットル当たり約70mgのグルコースを含み、前記第2の閾値が、血液1デシリットル当たり約150mgのグルコースを含む、請求項16に記載のシステム。
- 前記マイクロプロセッサが、概して同じ意味を有する異なるメッセージフォーマットを通知するようにプログラムされる、請求項16〜18のいずれか一項に記載のシステム。
