Description
本願は、Stephen A.Hazebrouckらによって、2007年9月28日に出願された、米国特許第11/863,318号、名称「FIXED−BEARING KNEE PROSTHESIS HAVING INTERCHANGEABLE COMPONENTS」の一部係属出願であり、したがって、その優先権を主張する。米国特許第11/863,318号全体は、参照によって本明細書に組み込まれる。
本開示は、概して、移植可能な整形外科的プロテーゼ、より具体的には、移植可能な膝プロテーゼに関する。
(1) 固定軸受型膝プロテーゼであって、
内側顆表面及び外側顆表面を有する大腿骨コンポーネントと、
(i)前記大腿骨コンポーネントの前記内側顆表面と関節をなすように構成された、内側軸受表面と、(ii)前記大腿骨コンポーネントの前記外側顆表面と関節をなすように構成された、外側軸受表面と、を有する軸受と、

前記後方バットレスは、略Y型であり、(i)前記プラットフォームの後方縁に沿って延在し、内部に画定される第1のアンダーカットを有する第1のアームと、(ii)前記第1のアームから離れる方向に前記プラットフォームの前記後方縁に沿って延在し、内部に画定される第2のアンダーカットを有する第2のアームと、(iii)前記第1のアーム及び前記第2のアームから離れて前方に延在する第3のアームとを有し、

(5) 前記前方バットレスの前記第1のアームの前方末端部は、前記プラットフォームの最前方地点において前記プラットフォームの前記前方縁上に配置され、

前記軸受に固定された脛骨トレイであって、前記脛骨トレイは、プラットフォームを有し、前記プラットフォームは、その下部表面から下方に延在する固定部材を備え、前記プラットフォームは、(i)前記プラットフォームの周辺の後方部分に沿って延在し、前記プラットフォームの上部表面から上方に延在する後方バットレスと、(ii)前記プラットフォームの前記周辺の前方部分に沿って延在し、前記プラットフォームの前記上面から上方に延在する前方バットレスと、を有する、脛骨トレイと、を備え、
前記後方バットレスは、略Y型であり、(i)前記プラットフォームの後方縁に沿って延在し、内部に画定される第1のアンダーカットを有する第1のアームと、(ii)前記第1のアームから離れる方向に、前記プラットフォームの前記後方縁に沿って延在し、内部に画定される第2のアンダーカットを有する第2のアームと、(iii)前記第1のアーム及び前記第2のアームから離れて前方に延在する第3のアームと、を有し、
前記前方バットレスは、(i)前記プラットフォームの前方縁に沿って延在する第1のアームと、(ii)前記前方バットレスの前記第1のアームから離れる方向に、前記プラットフォームの前記前方縁に沿って延在する第2のアームと、(iii)前記前方バットレスの中に画定されるアンダーカットと、を有し、
(i)想像線は、前記前方バットレスの前記第1のアームの最後方縁及び前記前方バットレスの前記第2のアームの最後方縁に沿って延在し、(ii)前記想像線は、一定の半径を有する曲線を画定する、固定軸受型膝プロテーゼ。
(12) 前記前方バットレス内に画定される前記アンダーカットは、前記想像線の中点を中心とする、実施態様11に記載の膝プロテーゼ。
(13) 前記前方バットレスの前記第1のアームの前方末端部は、前記プラットフォームの最前方地点において、前記プラットフォームの前記前方縁上に配置され、
前記前方バットレスの前記第1のアームの内側末端部は、前記プラットフォームの前記最前方地点と、前記プラットフォームの最内側地点との間の前記プラットフォームの前記前方縁上の位置に配置され、
前記前方バットレスの前記第2のアームの前方末端部は、前記プラットフォームの前記最前方地点において、前記前方バットレスの前記第1のアームの前記前方末端部に固定され、
前記前方バットレスの前記第2のアームの外側末端部は、前記プラットフォームの前記最前方地点と、前記プラットフォームの最外側地点との間の前記プラットフォームの前記前方縁上の位置に配置される、実施態様11に記載の膝プロテーゼ。
(14) 前記軸受は、
前記後方バットレスの前記第1のアーム内に画定される前記第1のアンダーカット内に位置付けられた第1の後方タブと、
前記後方バットレスの前記第2のアーム内に画定される前記第2のアンダーカット内に位置付けられた第2の後方タブと、
前記前方バットレス内に画定される前記アンダーカット内に位置付けられた前方タブと、を含む、実施態様10に記載の膝プロテーゼ。
(15) 前記軸受は、上部表面及び下部表面を有し、
前記内側軸受表面及び前記外側軸受表面の両方は、前記軸受の前記上部表面内に画定され、
前記軸受の前記下部表面は、前記プラットフォームの前記上部表面と接触し、
前記プラットフォームの前記下部表面は、その中に形成された後方凹部及び前方凹部を有し、
前記後方バットレスは、前記後方凹部内に位置付けられ、前記前方バットレスは、前記前方凹部内に位置付けられる、実施態様10に記載の膝プロテーゼ。
(16) 前記後方バットレスは、前記前方バットレスに隣接しない、実施態様15に記載の膝プロテーゼ。
(17) 固定軸受型膝プロテーゼであって、
内側顆表面及び外側顆表面を有する大腿骨コンポーネントと、
プラットフォームを有する脛骨トレイであって、前記プラットフォームは、その下部表面から下方に延在する固定部材を備え、前記プラットフォームは、(i)前記プラットフォームの上部表面から上方に延在し、前記プラットフォームの周辺の後方部分に沿って延在する一対のアームを有する略Y型の後方バットレスであって、前記一対のアームのそれぞれは、その中に画定されるアンダーカットを有する、略Y型の後方バットレスと、(ii)前記プラットフォームの前記周辺の前方部分に沿って延在し、前記プラットフォームの前記上部表面から上方に延在する前方バットレスであって、前記後方バットレスと隣接せず、その中に画定されるアンダーカットを有する、前方バットレスと、を有する、脛骨トレイと、
前記脛骨トレイに個別に固定されるように構成された複数の軸受と、を備え、前記複数の軸受のそれぞれは、(i)前記複数の軸受の他の少なくともいくつかと異なる幅と、(ii)前記大腿骨コンポーネントの前記内側顆表面と関節をなすように構成された内側軸受表面と、前記大腿骨コンポーネントの前記外側顆表面と関節をなすように構成された外側軸受表面とを有する上部表面と、(iii)前記後方バットレスを受容するように、内部に画定される後方凹部と、前記前方バットレスを受容するように、内部に画定される前方凹部とを有する下部表面と、(iv)前記後方バットレスの前記一対のアームのそれぞれ内に画定される前記アンダーカット内でそれぞれ受容されるように配列された一対の後方係止タブと、(v)前記前方バットレス内に画定される前記アンダーカット内で受容されるように配列された前方係止タブと、を有する、固定軸受型膝プロテーゼ。
(18) 想像線は、前記前方バットレスの最後方縁に沿って延在し、
前記前方バットレス内に画定される前記アンダーカットは、前記想像線の中点を中心とする、実施態様17に記載の膝プロテーゼ。
(19) 想像線は、前記前方バットレスの最後方縁に沿って延在し、
前記想像線は、一定の半径を有する曲線を画定する、実施態様17に記載の膝プロテーゼ。
Claims (6)
- 固定軸受型膝プロテーゼであって、
内側顆表面及び外側顆表面を有する大腿骨コンポーネントと、
(i)前記大腿骨コンポーネントの前記内側顆表面と関節をなすように構成された、内側軸受表面と、(ii)前記大腿骨コンポーネントの前記外側顆表面と関節をなすように構成された、外側軸受表面と、を有する軸受と、
前記軸受に固定された脛骨トレイであって、前記脛骨トレイは、プラットフォームを有し、前記プラットフォームは、その下部表面から下方に延在する固定部材を備え、前記プラットフォームは、(i)前記プラットフォームの周辺の後方部分に沿って延在し、前記プラットフォームの上部表面から上方に延在する後方バットレスと、(ii)前記プラットフォームの前記周辺の前方部分に沿って延在し、前記プラットフォームの前記上部表面から上方に延在する前方バットレスと、を有する、脛骨トレイと、を備え、
前記後方バットレスは、略Y型であり、(i)前記プラットフォームの後方縁に沿って延在し、内部に画定される第1のアンダーカットを有する第1のアームと、(ii)前記第1のアームから離れる方向に、前記プラットフォームの前記後方縁に沿って延在し、内部に画定される第2のアンダーカットを有する第2のアームと、(iii)前記第1のアーム及び前記第2のアームから離れて前方に延在する第3のアームと、を有し、
前記前方バットレスは、(i)前記プラットフォームの前方縁に沿って延在する第1のアームと、(ii)前記前方バットレスの前記第1のアームから離れる方向に、前記プラットフォームの前記前方縁に沿って延在する第2のアームと、(iii)前記前方バットレスの中に画定される単一のアンダーカットと、を有し、(iv)前記前方バットレスの第1のアームの最後方縁及び前記前方バットレスの第2のアームの最後方縁は、単一の隣接する連続縁を画定し、
(i)想像線は、前記前方バットレスの前記第1のアームの最後方縁及び前記前方バットレスの前記第2のアームの最後方縁に沿って延在し、(ii)前記想像線は、一定の半径を有する曲線を画定し、
前記前方バットレス及び前記後方バットレスは、それらの間に間隙が存在するように、互いから離れて離間されている、固定軸受型膝プロテーゼ。 - 前記前方バットレスの前記第2のアームは、前記前方バットレスの前記第1のアームに隣接する、請求項1に記載の膝プロテーゼ。

前記前方バットレスの前記第1のアームの内側末端部は、前記プラットフォームの前記最前方地点と、前記プラットフォームの最内側地点との間の前記プラットフォームの前記前方縁上の位置に配置され、
前記前方バットレスの前記第2のアームの前方末端部は、前記プラットフォームの前記最前方地点において、前記前方バットレスの前記第1のアームの前記前方末端部に固定され、
前記前方バットレスの前記第2のアームの外側末端部は、前記プラットフォームの前記最前方地点と、前記プラットフォームの最外側地点との間の前記プラットフォームの前記前方縁上の位置に配置される、請求項2に記載の膝プロテーゼ。 - 前記軸受は、
前記後方バットレスの前記第1のアーム内に画定される前記第1のアンダーカット内に位置付けられた第1の後方タブと、
前記後方バットレスの前記第2のアーム内に画定される前記第2のアンダーカット内に位置付けられた第2の後方タブと、
前記前方バットレス内に画定される前記アンダーカット内に位置付けられた前方タブと、を含む、請求項1に記載の膝プロテーゼ。 - 前記軸受は、上部表面及び下部表面を有し、
前記内側軸受表面及び前記外側軸受表面の両方は、前記軸受の前記上部表面内に画定され、
前記軸受の前記下部表面は、前記プラットフォームの前記上部表面と接触し、
前記プラットフォームの前記下部表面は、その中に形成された後方凹部及び前方凹部を有し、
前記後方バットレスは、前記後方凹部内に位置付けられ、前記前方バットレスは、前記前方凹部内に位置付けられる、請求項1に記載の膝プロテーゼ。
