Claims (6)
- 複数の流体チャンバを有するハウジングであって、前記複数の流体チャンバの内の一つの流体チャンバは固定用ボアを有するというハウジングと、
前記ハウジング内に回転可能に支持されたロータであって、該ロータは径方向に延在する複数の翼板を有し、該複数の翼板の各々は前記複数の流体チャンバの内の一つの流体チャンバ内へと延在して前進側の流体チャンバおよび遅延側の流体チャンバを画成し、該ロータは前記複数の翼板の内の一つの翼板におけるピン用ボアを含む、というロータと、
シャンク区画と挿入区画とを有するロックピンであって、該ロックピンは前記ピン用ボア内で固定解除位置と固定位置との間で摺動可能に受容され、前記挿入区画はセグメント化された球形状であって、第1基部と、逆側の第2基部とを備える球形状を有し、前記第1基部および前記第2基部は離間され且つ平行であり、また、前記第1基部と前記第2基部とは、前記ロックピンの軸心に対して直交しており、前記セグメント化された球形状は、前記第1基部と前記第2基部との間に前記第1基部及び前記第2基部の直径よりも大きな直径を有する部分を備える、というロックピンとを備える、可変バルブタイミング機構。 - 前記固定位置において前記挿入区画の少なくとも一部分は前記ハウジングの前記固定用ボア内に受容されることで、前記ハウジングと前記ロータとの間の相対回転を禁止する、請求項1に記載の可変バルブタイミング機構。
- 前記第1基部は、前記ロックピンが前記固定位置に在るときに前記固定用ボア内に受容される、請求項2に記載の可変バルブタイミング機構。
- 前記挿入区画の前記第2基部と前記シャンク区画との間にはショルダが延在する、請求項3に記載の可変バルブタイミング機構。
- 前記第1基部は、前記ハウジングの前記固定用ボアの直径より小さな直径を有する、請求項4に記載の可変バルブタイミング機構。
- 前記第2基部は、前記シャンク区画の直径より小さな直径を有する、請求項5に記載の可変バルブタイミング機構。
