本発明は概して放射線出力装置に関し、特に放射線を放出し、反射し、配向する(channel)装置に関する。
(2.関連技術の詳細)
様々な放射線出力システムが先行技術に存在し、それぞれに固有の色々な長所および相応の欠点がある。光学システムの文脈では、レーザーは、干渉性エネルギー放出装置自体の到来の時代まで遡って、確かに大きな注目と開発努力を集めてきた。例えば、医療用途および歯科用途の文脈で流体とともに使用される環状のレーザービームを放射するためのシステムといった複雑なシステムは、特許文献12で明らかなように、マンチェリヤン(Muncheryan)によって四半世紀以上前に開示された。最近になって、エネルギーを集中させて標的の上に霧状の水を作り、その結果、水、エネルギー、衝撃波の1つ以上によって標的を切断または除去することができる極めて効率の高い医療用および歯科用のレーザー処置装置が特許文献11で開示されている。このような処置装置は、例えば、固体レーザーによって具現化されると、コンパクトで、長期使用について信頼でき、現場で容易に交換されるという点において有利になり得る。

Claims (16)
- 放射線の高出力源であって、
前記高出力源は、
材料を含む利得媒質と、
前記材料によって形成されたキャビティと、
前記利得媒質によって囲まれ、かつ前記キャビティ内に設けられた放射線源であって、前記キャビティ内で励起源として動作され、前記利得媒質による遮断のために励起に応答してエネルギーを放出するように構成された放射線源と、
前記材料によって形成された、前記キャビティの側壁と
を備え、
前記材料によって形成された側壁が直接ガスを含み
前記エネルギーは、利得媒質に、増幅した電磁エネルギーを出力させる駆動エネルギーを含む

- 前記材料の先端が、開放した両端部を備えたカニューレを含んでなる請求項7に記載の高出力源。
- 組織に接触するアームをさらに備えてなる請求項7に記載の高出力源。
- 前記組織に接触するアームは、流体の送達又は吸引、切断製品の吸引、真空吸引による操作部位への取り付けのうちの一種以上を含む臨床的に機能的な動作のための中央開口部を含み、前記材料の先端が他の組織に接触するアームを含んでなる請求項15に記載の高出力源。
