Description
(a)(1)少なくとも1つのケイ素源と;(2)少なくとも1つのアルミニウム源と;(3)少なくとも1つの、周期表の第1族及び第2族から選択される元素の源と;(4)水酸化物イオンと;(5)1,5−ビス(1−アゾニア−ビシクロ[2.2.2]オクタン)ペンタンジカチオン、1,5−ビス(1,4−ジアザビシクロ[2.2.2]オクタン)ペンタンジカチオン、及びそれらの混合物から選択される構造規定剤と;(6)水と;を含有する反応混合物を調製するステップと;
(b)モレキュラーシーブの結晶を生成させるのに十分な条件下で該反応混合物を維持するステップと
によって、焼成後に表4の粉末XRD線を有するモレキュラーシーブを調製する方法も含む。
「周期表」という用語は2007年6月22日版のIUPAC 元素周期表を指し、周期表の族の付番方式はChemical and Engineering News、63(5)、27(1985)に記載の通りである。
本発明は、本明細書において「モレキュラーシーブSSZ−81」又は単に「SSZ−81」と呼称されるモレキュラーシーブを対象とする。
(a)(1)少なくとも1つのケイ素源と;(2)少なくとも1つのアルミニウム源と;(3)少なくとも1つの、周期表の第1族及び第2族から選択される元素の源と;(4)水酸化物イオンと;(5)1,5−ビス(1−アゾニア−ビシクロ[2.2.2]オクタン)ペンタンジカチオン、1,5−ビス(1,4−ジアザビシクロ[2.2.2]オクタン)ペンタンジカチオン、及びそれらの混合物から選択される構造規定剤と;を含有する反応混合物を調製するステップと;
(b)モレキュラーシーブの結晶を生成させるのに十分な条件下で反応混合物を維持するステップと
によって調製される。
実際には、モレキュラーシーブは
(a)上記の反応混合物を調製するステップと;
(b)モレキュラーシーブを生成させるのに十分な結晶化条件下で反応混合物を維持するステップと
によって調製される。(ハリー・ロビンソン(Harry Robson)、「ゼオライト材料の実証された合成(Verified Syntheses of Zeolitic Materials)」、改訂第2版、Elsevier、Amsterdam(2001)を参照。)
1,5−ビス(1−アゾニア−ビシクロ[2.2.2]オクタン)ペンタンジカチオンを用いたSSZ−81の合成
1,5−ビス(1−アゾニア−ビシクロ[2.2.2]オクタン)ペンタンの水酸化物溶液([OH−]=0.4mmol/g)5.0gをテフロン(登録商標)容器に加えた。次に、0.18gのゼオライトY−52(Union Carbide Corp.より供給される)、1.50gの1N NaOH溶液、及び0.50gの水をこの容器に加えた。最後に、0.50gのCAB−O−SIL M−5ヒュームドシリカ(Cabot Corporation)をゆっくりと加え、ゲルを十分に混合した。次いでテフロン(登録商標)ライナーに蓋をして鋼製のParrオートクレーブ内で封止した。オートクレーブを160℃の対流式オーブン内の棒状部(spit)に設置した。オートクレーブを17日間にわたって加熱オーブン中で43rpmにて回転させた。次いでオートクレーブを取り出し、室温まで冷やした。次いで固体をろ過によって回収し、脱イオン水で十分に洗浄した。固体を室温で乾燥させた。
SSZ−81の焼成
例1の生成物をマッフル炉内で2%酸素/98%窒素流下で焼成し、595℃まで1℃/分の速度で加熱し、595℃で5時間保ち、冷却し、次いで粉末XRDにより分析した。得られたXRDパターンを図2に示す。下記の表6は、焼成したモレキュラーシーブ生成物についての粉末XRD線を示す。
NH4 +交換
NH4NO3を用いて、焼成したSSZ−81材料(例2で調製されたもの)のイオン交換を行って、モレキュラーシーブをそのNa+型からNH4 +型、最終的にはH+型へと転化させる。典型的には、モレキュラーシーブと同じ質量のNH4NO3を25〜50:1の水対ゼオライト比にて水中でスラリー状にする。交換溶液を95℃で2時間加熱し、次いでろ過する。この手順を3回まで繰り返すことができる。最後の交換に続いて、モレキュラーシーブを水で数回洗浄し乾燥させる。次いでこのNH4 +型のSSZ−81を540℃までの焼成によって(例2に記載の通り)H+型へと転化させることができる。
拘束係数(Constraint Index)
20〜40のペレット状及びメッシュ状の範囲の、例3によって調製された0.5グラムの焼成したH+型材料を、ステンレス鋼反応器(触媒床の両側にグラスウールを充填したもの)へ投入し拘束係数試験を行った(50%n−ヘキサン/50%3−メチルペンタン(3−MP))。通常の供給速度を使用し(8μl/分.)、1回目の試験を260℃(500°F)で行い、2回目の試験を316℃(600°F)で行った。触媒を反応器中で538℃(1000°F)近くになるまで乾燥させた後に各試験を行った。ヘリウム流を使用した。(ゾーンズ及びハリス(Zones and Harris)、「マクロ多孔質及びメソ多孔質材料(Microporous and Mesoporous Materials)」 35〜36(2000)、31〜46頁を参照。)
2,2−ジメチルブタンの吸着
次いで例3の焼成した材料を炭化水素2,2−ジメチルブタンの蒸気の取り込みについて試験した。この吸着質は小さい孔のゼオライト(8員環の入り口)には入らず、ZSM−5のような中程度の孔のゼオライトに入るのを妨げられる場合がある。SSZ−81は多次元(multi−dimensional)の大きい孔の材料(Yゼオライトなど)のプロファイル特性を示し、急速な取り込み及び高い孔の充填を示した。
ジカチオンの組み合わせを用いたSSZ−81の合成
1,5−ビス(1−アゾニア−ビシクロ[2.2.2]オクタン)ペンタンの水酸化物溶液([OH−]=0.40mmol/g)1.25g及び1,5−ビス(1,4−ジアザビシクロ[2.2.2]オクタン)ペンタンの水酸化物溶液([OH−]=0.41mmol/g)3.75gをテフロン(登録商標)容器に加えた。次に、0.18gのゼオライトY−52(Union Carbide Corporationより供給される)、1.50gの1N NaOH溶液、及び0.50gの水をこの容器に加えた。最後に、0.50gのCAB−O−SIL M−5ヒュームドシリカ(Cabot Corporation)をゆっくりと加え、ゲルを十分に混合した。次いでテフロン(登録商標)ライナーに蓋をして鋼製のParrオートクレーブ内で封止した。オートクレーブを160℃の対流式オーブン内の棒状部に設置した。オートクレーブを4週間にわたって加熱オーブン中で43rpmにて回転させた。次いでオートクレーブを取り出し、室温まで冷ました。次いで固体をろ過によって回収し、脱イオン水で十分に洗浄した。固体を室温で乾燥させた。
1,5−ビス(1,4−ジアザビシクロ[2.2.2]オクタン)ペンタンジカチオンを用いたSSZ−81の合成
1,5−ビス(1,4−ジアザビシクロ[2.2.2]オクタン)ペンタンの水酸化物溶液([OH−]=0.41mmol/g)5.0gをテフロン(登録商標)容器に加えた。次に、0.18gのゼオライトY−52(Union Carbide Corporationより供給される)、1.50gの1N NaOH溶液、及び0.50gの水をこの容器に加えた。最後に、0.50gのCAB−O−SIL M−5ヒュームドシリカ(Cabot Corporation)をゆっくりと加え、ゲルを十分に混合した。次いでテフロン(登録商標)ライナーに蓋をして鋼製のParrオートクレーブ内で封止した。オートクレーブを160℃の対流式オーブン内の棒状部に設置した。オートクレーブを6週間にわたって加熱オーブン中で43rpmにて回転させ、生成物が形成しているかを見るために定期的に中断した。次いでオートクレーブを6週間後に取り出し、室温まで冷ました。次いで固体をろ過によって回収し、脱イオン水で十分に洗浄した。固体を室温で乾燥させた。
水素異性化触媒の調製
本明細書において例3に概要を述べた手順に従って調製されたH+型のAl−SSZ−81を、pH〜10.3で(NH3)4Pd(NO3)2水溶液によってイオン交換してゼオライトに0.5wt%Pdを充填した。次いでこのPd/Al−SSZ−81モレキュラーシーブを空気中で450°Fにて(232℃)5時間焼成し、続いて例9に示す触媒実験の前に水素を減少させた。
Pd/Al−SSZ−81上でのn−ヘキサンの水素異性化
n−ヘキサンの水素異性化の触媒反応を、本明細書の例8において調製されたPd/SSZ−81触媒を用いて、流通式固定床反応器において純粋なn−ヘキサンを供給原料として行った。水素異性化条件は、200ゲージポンド/平方インチ(psig)(ゲージ圧1.38MPa)の圧力、1h−1の液空間速度(LHSV)、及び6:1のH2対炭化水素モル比を含んでいた。反応温度は10°F(5.5℃)きざみで400〜620°F(204〜327℃)の範囲であった。反応生成物をオンラインガスクロマトグラフによって分析してすべての分解生成物及び異性化生成物を定量した。代表的な結果を表9に示す。
Claims (12)
- 酸化ケイ素の酸化アルミニウムに対するモル比が10を超え、焼成後に以下の表:
に示されるX線回折パターンを有するモレキュラーシーブであって、
結晶化条件下で(1)少なくとも1つのケイ素源と;(2)少なくとも1つのアルミニウム源と;(3)少なくとも1つの、周期表の第1族及び第2族から選択される元素の源と;(4)水酸化物イオンと;(5)1,5−ビス(1−アゾニア−ビシクロ[2.2.2]オクタン)ペンタンジカチオン、1,5−ビス(1,4−ジアザビシクロ[2.2.2]オクタン)ペンタンジカチオン、及びそれらの混合物から選択される構造規定剤とを接触させるステップを含む方法によって作られる、
上記モレキュラーシーブ。
