によりアンモニアと炭酸ガスに分解されるので、このアンモニアによりNOxが還元浄化されることになるが、排気ガス7中のNOxの大半を占めるNOに対し酸化触媒11によりNO2が増やされていくと、最も反応速度の早い次式

による還元反応が促されて良好なNOxの低減化が図られることになる。

により排気ガス7中のNOxが還元浄化されることになるが、排気ガス7中のNO/NO2比が約1〜1.3である場合と比較して、その反応速度が遅くなることは言うまでもない。

Claims (1)
- 排気管の上流側に排気浄化触媒を配置し且つ該排気浄化触媒の下流側にパティキュレートフィルタを配置して装備した排気浄化装置であって、前記排気浄化触媒の上流に装備された酸化触媒と、燃焼により高温の排気ガスを生成するバーナと、該バーナの排気ガスを前記パティキュレートフィルタ及び排気浄化触媒の夫々の入側に導き得る排気分配管と、該排気分配管に装備されて前記バーナの排気ガスをパティキュレートフィルタ及び排気浄化触媒の夫々の入側の何れか一方に選択的に振り分ける流路切替手段とを備え、
前記流路切替手段は、前記バーナの排気ガスを前記排気浄化触媒の入側に振り分ける際に、前記排気浄化触媒の入側、且つ、前記酸化触媒の下流側に導くことを特徴とする排気浄化装置。
