Description
強度∝(クリア−k1*C1)及び(クリア−k2*C2) [式1]
但し、k1及びk2は、前記式のカッコ内の各項が光経路におけるIR含有物の作用の充分良好な打ち消しを生じるように、校正手順中に選択されねばならない比例定数又はミスマッチ定数である。例えば、定数k1及びk2は、(フィルタ104の後の)入射光における同じIR含有物に対する各応答の項においてカラーセンサ106、108とクリアセンサ110との間のミスマッチの作用を除去する上で助けとなる。

但し、kは、上述した比例定数又はミスマッチ定数である。

クリア−k2*青=イエロー ⇒ 赤’=マゼンタ+イエロー
クリア−k3*緑=マゼンタ 青’=マゼンタ+シアン
但し、シアン、イエロー及びマゼンタ値において、カラーセンサのIR応答の作用は、差によって打ち消されている。R’、G’、B’をルクス値へ変換することは、次の式のような既知の技術に基づいて行われる。
ルクス=(k4*赤’)+(k5*緑’)+(k6*青’) [式3b]
但し、k4、k5及びk6は、この場合も、可視光に対する所与のスペクトル形状内に適合させるための重み付け又はスケーリングに対して選択される比例定数又はミスマッチ定数である。

Claims (16)
- 周囲可視光感知装置であって、
光経路における周囲可視光を阻止するが赤外線は阻止しない第1のフィルタであって、前記装置外部からの暗い見掛けを与えることによって、前記装置内部のセンサ電子装置が可視光を検出することを可能にしながらそのセンサ電子装置を見えないようにする第1のフィルタと、
前記第1のフィルタの後に前記光経路における周囲可視光を検出するための第1のカラーセンサ、第2のカラーセンサ及びクリアセンサと、
前記周囲可視光の強度の尺度を、1)(a)前記第1のカラーセンサの出力信号と(b)前記クリアセンサの出力信号との間の差、及び、2)(a)前記第2のカラーセンサの出力信号と(b)前記クリアセンサの出力信号との間の差に基づいて計算するための光強度計算器と、
を備えた周囲可視光感知装置。 - 前記第1のフィルタは、可視光を阻止する赤外線透過インクの被覆が設けられた基板を備えた、請求項1に記載の周囲可視光感知装置。
- 前記第1及び第2のカラーセンサは、各々、赤色及び青色センサである、請求項1に記載の周囲可視光感知装置。
- 前記周囲可視光の強度の尺度を計算するために、前記光強度計算器は、シアン及びイエローの値を表す前記2つの出力信号差を緑色の値へ変換する、請求項3に記載の周囲可視光感知装置。
- 前記第1及び第2のカラーセンサの各々は、各光検出素子をカバーする異なるカラーフィルタ素子を含み、そして前記第1及び第2のカラーセンサの各光検出素子及び前記クリアセンサの光検出素子は、電気的にマッチングされる、請求項1に記載の周囲可視光感知装置。
- 前記第1のフィルタの後に前記光経路における光を検出するための第3のカラーセンサを更に備え、前記光強度計算器は、前記周囲可視光の強度の尺度を、(a)前記第3のカラーセンサの出力信号と(b)前記クリアセンサの出力信号との間の差に更に基づいて計算する、請求項1に記載の周囲可視光感知装置。
- 前記第1、第2及び第3のカラーセンサは、各々、赤色、青色及び緑色センサである、請求項6に記載の周囲可視光感知装置。
- 前記周囲可視光の強度の尺度を計算するために、前記光強度計算器は、シアン、マゼンタ及びイエローの値を表す前記3つの出力信号差を赤色、緑色及び青色の値へ変換する、請求項7に記載の周囲可視光感知装置。
- 前記光強度計算器は、前記周囲可視光の強度の尺度を、赤色、緑色及び青色の値に基づきルクスとして計算する、請求項8に記載の周囲可視光感知装置。
- 電子装置であって、
ハウジングを備え、このハウジングには、
光透過構造層を有する前部カバーであって、その光透過構造層は、ユーザ対話ディスプレイスクリーン部分及び周囲光センサ部分を有し、この周囲光センサ部分は、前記装置外部の可視光がハウジング内の光経路へ通過するのを制限するが赤外線は制限しない不透明な層を含むものである前部カバーと、
前記ディスプレイスクリーン部分の輝度を前記装置外部の周囲光の強度の計算された尺度に基づいて制御するように結合されたプロセッサと、
前記不透明な層の後に前記光経路における光を検出するための第1のカラーセンサ、第2のカラーセンサ及びクリアセンサと、
が一体化されており、前記プロセッサは、前記周囲光の強度の尺度を、1)(a)前記第1のカラーセンサの出力信号と(b)前記クリアセンサの出力信号との間の差、及び、2)(a)前記第2のカラーセンサの出力信号と(b)前記クリアセンサの出力信号との間の差に基づいて計算する、電子装置。 - 前記ハウジングには、更に、前記光経路における赤外線は制限するが可視光は制限しない赤外線カット層が一体化され、前記第1のカラーセンサ、第2のカラーセンサ及びクリアセンサは、前記不透明な層及び赤外線カット層の後に前記光経路における光を検出する、請求項10に記載の電子装置。
- 前記差は、(a)前記第1のカラーセンサの出力信号及び(b)前記クリアセンサの出力信号の一方又は両方をスケーリングすることに基づく、請求項10に記載の電子装置。
- 前記光透過構造層は、前記不透明な層が赤外線透過性不透明インクの被覆として設けられたガラス基板を備えた、請求項10に記載の電子装置。
- 前記第1及び第2のカラーセンサは、各々、赤色及び青色センサである、請求項10に記載の電子装置。
- 周囲光の強度の尺度を計算するために、前記プロセッサは、シアン及びイエローの値を表す前記2つの出力信号差を緑色の値へ変換する、請求項14に記載の電子装置。
- 前記第1及び第2のカラーセンサの各々は、各光検出素子をカバーする異なるカラーフィルタ素子を含み、そして前記第1及び第2のカラーセンサの各光検出素子及び前記クリアセンサの光検出素子は、電気的にマッチングされる、請求項10に記載の電子装置。
