Description
平滑化が妨げられた場合、マイクロバンディングは事実上緩和されず、完全に欠落した線は事実上隠されないことになる。インクの硬化は、インク内に架橋結合あるいは重合反応が行われる際に生ずる。実施形態では、インクの平滑化に用いる照射線源は平滑化期間中に硬化を実質生じないインクへ照射線エネルギを照射するよう選択される。
Claims (4)
- 下地上でインクを平滑化する方法であって、少なくとも1つの第1の照射エネルギ源が発する第1の照射線を用いて多孔質下地の第1の面に付着するインクを照射する工程を含み、第1の照射線の照射は下地上のインクを少なくともインクの粘性閾値温度まで加熱する一方でインクから下地への熱伝達を抑制するように短時間に設定され、前記加熱によりインクを第1の面上で側方に流動させてインクの平滑化をもたらし、下地界面のインクを粘性閾値温度未満の温度に冷却して下地へのインク浸透を所与の深度に限定する方法。
- インクは所定の温度範囲に亙り、約101から約106cPの粘度範囲を有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記少なくとも1つの第1の照射エネルギ源によって照射された第1の照射線を照射してもインクの硬化が実質的に生じない、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1つの第1の照射エネルギ源が照射する第1の照射線は、電磁スペクトルの可視光−赤外線部分に含まれる照射スペクトルを有する、請求項1に記載の方法。
