Description
本実施の形態では、発光素子に用いる有機金属錯体について説明する。
本実施の形態では、発光素子の一態様について、図1を用いて説明する。
本実施の形態では、実施の形態2とは異なる発光素子の態様の例について図2を参照して説明する。実施の形態1で示した有機金属錯体を用いた発光素子の態様は、複数の発光層を有するものであってもよい。複数の発光層を設け、それぞれの発光層から発光させることで、複数の発光が混合された発光を得ることができる。したがって、例えば白色光を得ることもできる。本実施の形態では、複数の発光層を有する発光素子の態様について図2を用いて説明する。
本実施の形態では、複数の発光層を設け、かつ実施の形態3とは異なる素子構造でそれぞれの発光層から発光させる発光素子を例示する。したがって、本実施の形態においても、複数の発光が混合された発光を得ることができる。すなわち、例えば白色光を得ることができる。以下、図3を用いて説明する。
本実施の形態5では、実施の形態1で示した有機金属錯体を増感剤として用いた発光素子の態様について、図1を用いて説明する。
本実施の形態では、上記実施の形態で示した発光素子を含む発光装置の一態様について、図4を用いて説明する。図4は、該発光装置の断面図である。
本実施の形態では、実施の形態6で説明したような本発明を適用した一態様である発光装置を用いて完成させた様々な電子機器および照明器具の例について、図5及び図6を用いて説明する。
2−エトキシエタノール12mlと水4mlの混合液を溶媒として、Hdm5bpr 0.48g、塩化イリジウム水和物(IrCl3・H2O)0.22gを混合し、アルゴンバブリング下にて30分間マイクロ波を照射し、反応させた。反応後、反応溶液を室温まで放冷し、ろ過した。得られたろ取物をエタノールにて洗浄することにより、黄土色粉末を収率62%で得た。本ステップの合成スキームを(C−2)に示す。
2−エトキシエタノール20mlを溶媒として、[Ir(dm5bpr)2Cl]2を1.31g、ジピバロイルメタンを0.485ml、炭酸ナトリウムを0.931g混合し、アルゴンバブリング下にて30分間マイクロ波を照射し、反応させた。反応後、反応溶液を室温まで放冷し、ろ過した。得られたろ液を濃縮乾固し、ジクロロメタン、メタノール、ヘキサンの混合溶媒にて再結晶し、橙色粉末を収率84%で得た。なお、マイクロ波の照射はマイクロ波合成装置(CEM社製Discover)を用いた。本ステップの合成スキームを下記(C−3)に示す。

Claims (8)
- 一対の電極間に、下記構造式(150)で表される構造を有する有機金属錯体をゲスト材料とし、低分子化合物をホスト材料として含む層を有する発光素子。
- 一対の電極間に、下記構造式(149)で表される構造を有する有機金属錯体をゲスト材料とし、低分子化合物をホスト材料として含む層を有する発光素子。
- 請求項1または請求項2のいずれか一項において、
前記低分子化合物が、キノキサリン骨格を有する発光素子。 - 請求項1乃至請求項3のいずれか一項において、
前記低分子化合物が、ジベンゾ[f,h]キノキサリン誘導体である発光素子。 - 請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか一項において、
前記有機金属錯体を発光物質として含む発光素子。 - 請求項1乃至請求項5に記載の発光素子を有する発光装置。
- 請求項6に記載の発光装置を用いた電子機器。
