Description
この発明の実施の形態1に係る液晶表示装置について図1及び図2を参照しながら説明する。図1は、この発明の実施の形態1に係る液晶表示装置の概略構成を示す図である。なお、各図中、同一符号は同一又は相当部分を示す。
この発明の実施の形態2に係る液晶表示装置について図3を参照しながら説明する。図3は、この発明の実施の形態2に係る液晶表示装置のバックライト駆動部のバックライト駆動信号を示す図である。なお、この発明の実施の形態2に係る液晶表示装置の構成は、上記の実施の形態1と同様である。
Claims (1)
- 動画を表示する液晶パネルと、
前記液晶パネルの背面へ光を照射するバックライトユニットと、
基準信号から所定の時間遅延し前記液晶パネルの応答が安定した所定の期間平坦な方形波形の第1のバックライト駆動信号を、前記バックライトユニットへ出力して前記所定の期間だけバックライトを点灯するバックライト駆動部と、
現フレームと1フレーム前の映像信号を比較し、映像信号のフレーム間差分によって相関が無い場合には動き検出信号を出力し、相関が有る場合には動き非検出信号を出力する動き検出部と
を備え、
前記バックライト駆動部は、前記動き検出部から前記動き検出信号を入力すると、前記第1のバックライト駆動信号を前記バックライトユニットへ出力し、前記動き検出部から前記動き非検出信号を入力すると、所定の立ち上がり時間を経て上限値のレベルに達し、その後所定の安定期間当該上限値の平坦なレベルを維持し、安定期間経過した後、所定の立ち下がり時間を経て下限値のレベルに達する、前記液晶パネルの応答波形と同じ波形を有するバックライト駆動信号に対し、液晶パネルの明るさのちらつきを抑制すべく動き検出時と動き非検出時との明るさの変動分に応じたレベルだけ全体の電圧または電流のレベルを下げた、RGB各色のバックライト駆動信号をRGB各色に対応する前記バックライトユニットへ出力する
ことを特徴とする液晶表示装置。
