Claims (32)
- 第1制御信号に応答して電源電圧を変換して第1出力端子で第1駆動電圧を出力し、短絡探知期間の後で、前記電源電圧を変換して第2出力端子で第2駆動電圧を出力し、第3制御信号に応答してシャットダウン(shut down)される電圧変換部と、
前記短絡探知期間の間、前記第2出力端子の電圧の大きさと基準電圧の大きさとを比較して前記第3制御信号を生成する短絡感知部と、を含み、
前記電圧変換部が、前記第1制御信号がイネーブルされる時点に第1駆動信号をイネーブルさせ、前記短絡探知期間の間、イネーブルされた第2制御信号を前記短絡感知部に提供し、前記短絡探知期間の後で、第2駆動信号をイネーブルさせ、ディセーブルされた前記第2制御信号を前記短絡感知部に提供し、前記第3制御信号がイネーブルされる時点に前記第1駆動信号及び前記第2駆動信号をディセーブルさせる制御部を含む
ことを特徴とする電源変換器。 - 前記電圧変換部は、
前記第2駆動信号がイネーブルされる間、前記電源電圧を変換して前記第2駆動電圧を生成する第2電圧変換器と、を含む

前記タイミング生成器は前記第1制御信号がイネーブルされる時点から前記第4制御信号がイネーブルされる時点までの時間の長さに基づいて、前記短絡探知期間の長さを調節する
ことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の電源変換器。 - 前記短絡感知部は、前記短絡探知期間のうちの一時点で前記第2出力端子の電圧の大きさをセンシングして、前記基準電圧の大きさと比較して前記第3制御信号を生成する

前記第2出力端子の電圧の大きさが前記基準電圧の大きさ以上の場合、前記第3制御信号をイネーブルさせ、前記第2出力端子の電圧の大きさが前記基準電圧の大きさ未満の場合、前記第3制御信号をディセーブルさせる比較器と、
前記電源電圧と前記比較器との間に接続され、前記短絡探知期間の間、イネーブルされ、前記短絡探知期間の後ではディセーブルされる第2制御信号に基づいて開閉されて前記電源電圧を前記比較器に選択的に提供する第1スイッチと、を含む
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電源変換器。 - 前記第1スイッチは前記第2制御信号がイネーブルされる場合、短絡されて前記比較器に前記電源電圧を供給し、前記第2制御信号がディセーブルされる場合、開放されて前記比較器から前記電源電圧の供給を遮断する
ことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の電源変換器。 - 前記短絡感知部は前記第2出力端子と接地電圧との間に接続され、前記第2制御信号に基づいてターンオン(turn−on)されるプル−ダウン部をさらに含む
ことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の電源変換器。 - 前記プル−ダウン部は、
前記第2出力端子に一端が接続されるプル−ダウン抵抗と、
前記プル−ダウン抵抗の他端と前記接地電圧との間に接続され、前記第2制御信号がイネーブルされる場合、短絡されて前記第2制御信号がディセーブルされる場合、開放される第2スイッチと、を含む
ことを特徴とする請求項8に記載の電源変換器。 - 前記第2スイッチは前記抵抗の他端に接続されるドレイン、前記接地電圧に接続されるソース及び前記第2制御信号が印加されるゲートを具備するNMOSトランジスタを含む
ことを特徴とする請求項9に記載の電源変換器。 - 前記短絡感知部は、
前記第2制御信号を反転させ反転信号を生成するインバータと、
前記比較器の出力端子と接地電圧との間に接続され、前記反転信号に基づいて開閉される第3スイッチと、をさらに含む
ことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の電源変換器。 - 前記第2スイッチは、前記反転信号がディセーブルされる場合、開放されて前記比較器の出力端子を前記接地電圧から分離させ、前記反転信号がイネーブルされる場合、短絡されて前記第3制御信号をディセーブルさせる
ことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の電源変換器。 - 前記短絡感知部は、前記基準電圧を生成する基準電圧生成器をさらに含む

前記表示パネルに前記データ信号を提供し、前記電源変換器に前記第1制御信号を提供する駆動部と、を含む

第1制御信号に応答して前記表示パネルに前記第1駆動電圧及び前記第2駆動電圧を短絡探知期間の間隔を置いて順次に提供し、前記短絡探知期間の間、前記第2駆動電圧が出力される端子の電圧の大きさが基準電圧の大きさ以上の場合、シャットダウン(shut down)される請求項1に記載の電源変換器と、
前記表示パネルに前記データ信号を提供し、前記電源変換器に前記第1制御信号を提供する駆動部と、を含む
ことを特徴とするシステム。
