Description
本開示の目的で本明細書で使用される場合、"LED"なる用語は、電気信号に応答して放射を発生することが可能な如何なるエレクトロルミネッセントダイオード又は他の形式のキャリア注入/接合型システムをも含むものと理解されるべきである。このように、LEDなる用語は、これらに限定されるものではないが、電流に応答して光を放出する種々の半導体型構造、発光ポリマ、有機発光ダイオード(OLED)及びエレクトロルミネッセントストリップ等を含む。

Claims (23)
- 少なくとも1つのLED光源と、
前記少なくも1つのLED光源に熱的に結合されたヒートシンクと、
前記ヒートシンクに機械的に結合された第1ハウジング部と、
前記ヒートシンクに機械的に結合された第2ハウジング部と、
を有する照明装置であって、
前記第1ハウジング部は前記第2ハウジング部に対して(i)第1エアギャップ、(ii)第2エアギャップ及び(iii)前記照明装置を経るエアチャンネルを形成するように配置され、前記ヒートシンクが前記少なくとも1つのLED光源の動作の間において該少なくとも1つのLED光源からの熱を伝達して、前記ヒートシンクの周りに加熱された空気を生成する場合に、周囲空気が前記第1エアギャップを介して導入される一方、前記加熱された空気が前記第2エアギャップを介して排出されて、前記エアチャンネル内に前記第1エアギャップから第2エアギャップへの気流の軌道が形成され、前記第1ハウジング部がベゼルプレートを含み、前記ベゼルプレート及び前記ヒートシンクが当該照明装置を経るエアチャンネルを形成するように相互に配置され、当該照明装置が電源を更に含み、前記ヒートシンクが該ヒートシンクの第1の側に前記少なくとも1つのLED光源を受け容れるための第1凹部を含み、前記ヒートシンクが前記第1の側とは反対の第2の側に前記電源を受け容れるための第2凹部を更に含み、前記ヒートシンクが第1凹部と前記ヒートシンクの外周とを接続する複数のフィンを含む、照明装置。 - 前記照明装置がダウンライト照明器具として構成され、前記第2ハウジング部が前記ダウンライト照明器具を表面に取り付けるための取付プレートを含む、請求項1に記載の照明装置。
- 前記ベゼルプレートにより形成される空洞内に配置され、前記少なくとも1つのLED光源を覆うカバーレンズを更に有する請求項2に記載の照明装置。
- 前記ヒートシンクが、該ヒートシンクの表面領域の大部分が前記第1エアギャップと前記第2エアギャップとの間の前記エアチャンネルに沿って配置される請求項1に記載の照明装置。
- 前記ヒートシンクが複数の熱放散フィンを有している請求項1に記載の照明装置。
- 前記エアチャンネルが前記少なくとも1つのLED光源の周部を実質的に囲む請求項1に記載の照明装置。
- 前記第2ハウジング部が当該照明装置を表面に取り付けるための取付プレートを含み、
前記第1ハウジング部がベゼルプレートを含む請求項5に記載の照明装置。 - 当該照明装置が前記表面に取り付けられた場合に、前記ヒートシンクが前記光源より上下方向において上に配置され、前記気流の軌道が主に上方向に向かう請求項6に記載の照明装置。
- 前記少なくとも1つのLED光源が、
印刷回路基板上に配置された複数のLEDと、
前記複数のLEDにより発生された光を受けるように配置された複数の反射器光学系と、
を有し、
前記複数の反射器光学系が前記印刷回路基板に接着剤を用いずに結合される請求項1に記載の照明装置。 - 照明器具であって、
当該照明器具により発生された光を通過させる開口を含むベゼルプレートと、
前記光を発生するための少なくとも1つのLEDを含むLEDモジュールと、
前記ベゼルプレートに機械的に結合されると共に、前記ベゼルプレートの前記開口内に位置される取付部を含む熱放散フレームであって、前記LEDモジュールが該熱放散フレームの前記取付部上に配置される熱放散フレームと、
を有し、
前記ベゼルプレート及び前記熱放散フレームが当該照明器具を経るエアチャンネルを形成するように相互に配置され、該エアチャンネル内に前記LEDモジュールにより発生される熱に応答して煙突効果により気流が生成され、当該照明器具が電源を更に含み、前記熱放散フレームが該熱放散フレームの第1の側に前記LEDモジュールを受け容れるための第1凹部を含み、前記熱放散フレームが前記第1の側とは反対の第2の側に前記電源を受け容れるための第2凹部を更に含み、前記熱放散フレームが第1凹部と前記熱放散フレームの外周とを接続する複数のフィンを含む、照明器具。 - 当該照明器具が表面に取り付けられた場合に前記ベゼルプレートの少なくとも一部が該照明器具の前面を構成し、前記ベゼルプレート及び前記熱放散フレームが当該照明器具の前記前面に入口エアギャップを形成するように相互に配置されて、周囲空気が前記煙突効果により前記エアチャンネルに導入されるのを可能にする請求項10に記載の照明器具。
- 前記ベゼルプレート及び前記熱放散フレームが出口エアギャップを形成するように相互に配置され、これにより、当該照明器具が前記表面に取り付けられた場合に、前記出口エアギャップが前記表面に近くなって、排出空気が前記煙突効果により前記エアチャンネルから排出されるのを可能にする請求項11に記載の照明器具。
- 前記LEDモジュールが少なくとも1つの白色LEDを含む請求項10に記載の照明器具。
- 前記LEDモジュールが、
印刷回路基板と、
前記印刷回路基板に結合された複数のLEDと、
前記印刷回路基板と前記熱放散フレームの前記取付部との間に熱的接続及び電気的絶縁を施す熱ギャップパッドと、
前記印刷回路基板に結合されて、当該LEDモジュールにより発生される光を平行化する光学アセンブリと、
を有する請求項10に記載の照明器具。 - 前記複数のLEDが少なくとも1つの白色LEDを含む請求項14に記載の照明器具。
- 前記光学アセンブリが前記印刷回路基板に接着剤を用いないで結合される請求項14に記載の照明器具。
- 前記LEDモジュールが前記熱放散フレームの前記取付部に接着剤を用いないで結合される請求項14に記載の照明器具。
- 前記電源/制御モジュールが、前記少なくとも1つのLEDに関連する如何なるフィードバック情報も必要とすることなく、単一のスイッチの制御により前記LEDモジュールに出力電圧を供給すると共に力率補正を行うスイッチング電源を含むような請求項17に記載の照明器具。
- 前記スイッチング電源が前記単一のスイッチに結合された少なくとも1つのコントローラを含み、該少なくとも1つのコントローラが前記単一のスイッチを固定オフ時間(FOT)制御技術を用いて制御する請求項18に記載の照明器具。
- 前記少なくとも1つのLEDに供給される前記出力電圧及び/又は電力が、前記電源に供給されるAC入力電圧のRMS値の変化に応答してのみ大幅に変化可能である請求項18に記載の照明器具。
- 前記スイッチング電源が、前記出力電圧が所定の値を超えた場合に該スイッチング電源を遮断するための過電圧保護回路を含むブーストコンバータ構成を有する請求項18に記載の照明器具。
- 前記電源/制御モジュールが前記電源に供給されるAC入力電圧のRMS値を変化させるAC調光器を更に含み、前記少なくとも1つのLEDに対する前記出力電圧が前記AC入力電圧のRMS値に少なくとも部分的に基づいて変化する請求項18に記載の照明器具。
- LED型照明器具により発生された光を通過させる開口を含むベゼルプレートと、
前記光を発生するための少なくとも1つのLEDを含むLEDモジュールと、
前記ベゼルプレートに機械的に結合されると共に、前記ベゼルプレートの前記開口内に位置される取付部を含む熱放散フレームであって、前記LEDモジュールが該熱放散フレームの前記取付部上に配置される熱放散フレームと、
を有する前記LED型照明器具であって、当該LED型照明器具が電源を更に含み、前記熱放散フレームが該熱放散フレームの第1の側に前記LEDモジュールを受け容れるための第1凹部を含み、前記熱放散フレームが前記第1の側とは反対の第2の側に前記電源を受け容れるための第2凹部を更に含み、前記熱放散フレームが第1凹部と前記熱放散フレームの外周とを接続する複数のフィンを含む前記LED型照明器具であって、前記ベゼルプレート及び前記熱放散フレームが当該照明器具を経る内部エアチャンネルを形成するように相互に配置される前記LED型照明器具を冷却する方法であって、ファンを使用することなく、当該LED型照明器具の少なくとも1つのLEDにより発生される熱に応答した煙突効果により、
周囲空気を第1エアギャップを介して当該照明器具に導入するステップと、
該周囲空気を当該照明器具の前記内部エアチャンネルを介して流すステップと、
加熱された空気を当該照明器具から第2エアギャップを介して排出するステップと、
を有する方法。
