Description
コールタールピッチから高温度結合剤の製造
コールタールピッチ[軟化点(Mettler)EPM=113℃、TI=29%、QI=8.5%、β樹脂=20.6%、コークス化値=59.2%、B[a]P含有量=1.1%、融解開始(TMA)=36℃、融解完了(TMA)=86℃]を、1ミリバールの真空下に、蒸発器中355℃の蒸留温度で、約5分間の平均滞留時間で蒸留する。得られたピッチは、本発明により高温度結合剤(結合剤A)として使用してもよく、表2の分析データにより特徴付けられる。
高温度結合剤から液体結合剤の製造
40重量部の実施例1からのコールタールピッチを、60重量部のアントラセン油(B[a]p含有量40ppm、沸点範囲250〜370℃)に溶解する。得られた結合剤Bは表3に示す特性を有する。
これらから得ることができる3バッチの成形体の製造
本発明の方法により3バッチ(3a〜c)を製造し、3比較バッチ(V1〜3)と比較する。液体レゾールと粉末状ノボラックからなる今日一般に使用されるフェノール樹脂システムをV1において使用し、米国特許第3285760号明細書によるアントラセン油をV3において使用し、従来のコールタールピッチをV2において使用する。
Claims (8)
- 炭素結合した耐火性生成物を、耐火性粒状物及び有機結合剤から製造する方法であって、ベンゾ[a]ピレン含有量500mg/kg未満、及び、DIN51905によるコークス化値少なくとも80重量%を有する高温度結合剤としてのグラファイト化可能な粉末状のコールタールピッチと、DIN51905によるコークス化値少なくとも15重量%、及び、ベンゾ[a]ピレン含有量500mg/kg未満を有する室温で液体のグラファイト化可能な結合剤とを、有機結合剤として使用し、残りの成分と混合し、成形体に変えて、そして、次に、150〜400℃の温度で熱処理すること、及び
前記室温で液体のグラファイト化可能な結合剤が、前記高温度結合剤を10〜65重量%の濃度で含む高度芳香族油溶液であることを特徴とする、前記方法。 - 耐火性混合物の全重量に対して、それぞれの場合において、0.5〜4重量%の高温度結合剤と、1.3〜4重量%の液体結合剤とを、有機結合剤として使用することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 常圧又は減圧下の第1蒸留段階においてコールタールを蒸留することによって、そして、1ミリバール以下の圧力下の第1蒸留段階において蒸発器によって釜残を蒸留することによって、コールタールピッチを得ることができ、ここで、前記蒸発器の温度は、300〜ら380℃までの範囲にあり、そして、釜残の平均滞留時間は、2〜10分間であることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 請求項3に記載のコールタールピッチのアントラセン油溶液を使用することを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 粉末状のコールタールピッチを、10〜500μmの平均粒子サイズを有する粉末形態で使用することを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 粉末状コールタールピッチが、180℃を超える軟化点を有することを特徴とする、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ピッチを溶解しないナフテン油を、液体結合剤と混合する前に、粉塵結合剤として粉末状コールタールピッチに添加することを特徴とする、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 炭素担体を、作業前に、耐火性粒状物及び有機結合剤に添加することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
