Description
図1は、本発明の液晶レンズ構造の実施例1を模式的に示す図である。図1に示すように、液晶レンズ構造1は、上部基板11と、下部基板12と、液晶及び高分子複合フィルム13と、液晶層14と、を備えるように構成される。
(実施例2)
図2は、本発明の液晶レンズ構造の実施例2を模式的に示す図である。本実施例2の構造は、実施例1とほぼ同じような構造であるが、相違点としては、第1導電層111には、貫通穴1111が形成されていることで、この貫通穴1111は、穴径2mmの円形穴状であることが好ましく、このようにすれば、電源を第1導電層111と第2導電層121とへ供給する場合、円対称性があるように電場分布させることができる。一例として、貫通穴1111の中央部の液晶及び高分子複合フィルム13は、比較的小さい比誘電率と比較的大きい等価屈折率を有するとともに、貫通穴1111の周縁部の液晶及び高分子複合フィルム13では、比較的大きい比誘電率と比較的小さい等価屈折率を有する。また、貫通穴1111の中央部の液晶及び高分子複合フィルム13は、比較的大きい比誘電率と比較的小さい等価屈折率を有するとともに、貫通穴1111の周縁部の液晶及び高分子複合フィルム13では、比較的小さい比誘電率と比較的大きい等価屈折率を有する。ここで、説明すべきこととしては、貫通穴1111の形状は円形であることが好ましいが、この限りでない。

Claims (14)
- 第1導電層と第1配向層を有する上部基板と、第2導電層と第2配向層を有する下部基板と、液晶及び高分子複合フィルムと、液晶層と、を備える液晶レンズ構造であって、
前記第1導電層を前記上部基板の片側に設置し、且つ前記第1配向層を前記第1導電層の片側に設置し、
前記第2導電層を前記下部基板の片側に設置し、且つ前記第2配向層が前記第2導電層の片側に設置し、
前記液晶及び高分子複合フィルムを前記第1配向層の片側に設置するとともに、第1レンズを形成し、
前記液晶及び高分子複合フィルムの等価屈折率と比誘電率は、円対称性があるように分布され、
前記液晶層を前記液晶及び高分子複合フィルムと前記第2配向層との間に設置するとともに、第2レンズを形成することを特徴とする、液晶レンズ構造。 - 前記液晶及び高分子複合フィルムは、液晶と高分子単体からなることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶レンズ構造。
- 前記液晶及び高分子複合フィルムは、複屈折フィルムであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶レンズ構造。
- 前記第1導電層には、貫通穴が形成されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶レンズ構造。
- 前記貫通穴の穴径が、2mmであることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の液晶レンズ構造。
- 前記第1レンズは、正レンズまたは負レンズであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶レンズ構造。
- 前記液晶レンズ構造は、小型プロジェクター、携帯電話機カメラシステムまたは電子制御焦点距離素子が必要な携帯式装置に用いることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶レンズ構造。
- 前記液晶レンズ構造の作動電圧範囲は、15Vrms〜35Vrmsであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の液晶レンズ構造。
- 第1駆動電圧を印加するステップと、
前記第1駆動電圧から第2駆動電圧に切り換えるステップと、
を含むことを特徴とする、前記請求項1に記載の液晶レンズ構造を駆動するための駆動方法。 - 前記第1駆動電圧が15Vrmsであり、前記第2駆動電圧が35Vrmsであることを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の駆動方法。
- 前記第1駆動電圧が35Vrmsであり、前記第2駆動電圧が15Vrmsであることを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の駆動方法。
- 前記第1駆動電圧から前記第2駆動電圧に切り換えるステップに、前記第2駆動電圧から第3駆動電圧に切り換えるステップをさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の駆動方法。
- 前記第1駆動電圧が15Vrmsであり、前記第2駆動電圧が55Vrmsであり、前記第3駆動電圧が35Vrmsであることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の駆動方法。
- 前記第1駆動電圧が35Vrmsであり、前記第2駆動電圧が0Vrmsであり、前記第3駆動電圧が15Vrmsであることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の駆動方法。
