Description
本実施形態の点灯回路は、単位時間当たりに発光ダイオードに流す電流量を、定格点灯時(つまり、大きさ一定の定格電流I0を連続的に流す場合)に比べて、調光制御値d(1≧d>0)の8/3乗に近い整数べき乗を乗じた値に低減することで、発光ダイオードの調光制御を行う。すなわち、2<8/3<3より、「8/3」に近い整数は「2」および「3」になるので、単位時間当たりに発光ダイオードに流す電流量を、定格点灯時の同電流量に比べて調光制御値dの二乗倍または三乗倍となるように制御する。
本実施形態の点灯回路1は、調光に伴い色温度についても変化させるようにした点が実施形態1の点灯回路1と相違する。

Claims (5)
- 電流源に接続され発光ダイオードに電流を流すことで発光ダイオードを点灯させる点灯回路であって、単位時間当たりに電流源から供給される電流量について定格点灯時に対する比率を表す調光制御値を検出する検出手段と、検出手段の検出結果を用いて単位時間当たりに発光ダイオードに供給する電流量を制御する制御手段とを備え、制御手段は、単位時間当たりに発光ダイオードに供給する電流量を、定格点灯時に比べて調光制御値の二乗倍または調光制御値の三乗倍とすることを特徴とする点灯回路。
- 前記電流源から第1の周期で前記調光制御値をオンデューティとする電流が供給されており、前記制御手段は、電流源からの電流供給のオン期間よりも短い第2の周期で調光制御値をオンデューティとするパルス幅変調信号を生成し、電流源からの電流供給のオン期間で且つパルス幅変調信号のオン期間となる期間にのみ、前記発光ダイオードに対して一定の大きさの電流を流すことを特徴とする請求項1記載の点灯回路。
- 前記電流源から第1の周期で前記調光制御値をオンデューティとする電流が供給されており、前記制御手段は、電流源からの電流供給のオン期間よりも短い第2の周期で調光制御値をオンデューティとするパルス幅変調信号を生成し、電流源からの電流供給のオン期間で且つパルス幅変調信号のオン期間となる期間にのみ、前記発光ダイオードに対して定格点灯時の調光制御値倍の大きさの電流を流すことを特徴とする請求項1記載の点灯回路。
- 前記電流源は位相制御された交流電源からなり、交流電圧の半周期を前記第1の周期とし、前記検出手段は、第1の周期ごとに電流源から電流供給される期間の第1の周期に占める割合を前記調光制御値として検出することを特徴とする請求項2または請求項3に記載の点灯回路。
- 請求項1ないし請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の点灯回路を発光ダイオードが設けられた筐体内に備え、白熱電球と共通形状の口金が筐体と一体に設けられ点灯回路に接続されていることを特徴とする光源装置。
