Claims (13)
- 光入口面を持つ光入口部と、光反射面を持つテーパ部と、光出口面とを持つ光ガイドであって、前記光入口部は前記光入口面から前記光反射面へ光を導き、前記光反射面は前記光入口部からの入射光が前記光出口面に向かって反射されるように第1の方向に対して配される当該光ガイドと、光を拡散的に伝送し、前記光ガイドの前記光入口面の少なくとも一部をカバーする光伝送層であって、励起に応じて光を放射する光放射層である前記光伝送層と、前記光伝送層を直接又は間接的に照射する光源と、前記光源による照射に応じて、前記光伝送層を照射する再伝送素子と、光を前記光伝送層にガイドする第2の光ガイドとを有し、第2の光ガイドは第2の光ガイドの横方向の面の反射を使用して、ガイド方向に沿って、光をその内部にガイドし、前記横方向の面は前記ガイド方向と実質的に平行であり、第2の光ガイドは前記光伝送層への光の出力に対する光出力領域と、光入力のための光入力領域とを持ち、前記光出力領域が前記ガイド方向に前記光入力領域から離れている、光学装置。
- 前記光放射層は蛍光層である、請求項1に記載の光学装置。
- 前記光入口面及び前記光伝送層がスペースを囲む、請求項1又は2に記載の光学装置。
- 前記光伝送層が前記光入口面と光学的に接触する、請求項1乃至3の何れか一項に記載の光学装置。
- 前記光入口部は、前記光入口面から前記テーパ部に向かって厚さが増大する、請求項1乃至4の何れか一項に記載の光学装置。
- 第2の光ガイドは、光をガイドできる誘電材料であり、前記光入力領域及び前記光出力領域が前記光ガイドのそれぞれ光入力面及び光出力面に対応する、請求項1に記載の光学装置。
- 前記光入力領域が前記ガイド方向と好ましくは実質的に垂直に交差し、前記光入力面が低めの屈折率の空気のような誘電媒体と光学的に接触し、これにより前記光入力面に入射するように供給された如何なる光もこの媒体を通過し、入射光の入射角より狭い決められた角度内の角度で第2の光ガイドに結合される、請求項6に記載の光学装置。
- 前記光出力面は前記横方向の面のうちの一つの面の一部分であり、この部分が前記光伝送層と光学的に結合され、前記光伝送層により少なくとも部分的にカバーされる、請求項6又は7に記載の光学装置。
- 前記光出力面は前記ガイド方向と好ましくは垂直に交差し、前記光出力面が低めの屈折率の空気のような誘電媒体と光学的に接触し、これにより前記光出力面を介して第2の光ガイドを出る光が、この媒体を通過する、請求項6又は7に記載の光学装置。
- 前記光出力面は、前記光伝送層に対して実質的に垂直である、請求項9に記載の光学装置。
- 前記光入口部は、前記テーパ部に対向する漏斗の広めの端部と前記光入口面を有する前記漏斗の狭めの端部とを持つ漏斗形状部を有する、請求項9又は10に記載の光学装置。
- 前記光伝送層に垂直な全てのキャビティ面が第2の光ガイドの光出力面である、請求項9又は10に記載の光学装置。
- 請求項1乃至12の何れか一項に記載の光学装置を有する光出力デバイス又は照明器具。
