Description
Claims (19)
- IPビデオを配信する方法において、
配信用の第1の数のビデオ・ストリームを複数のチャネル上に割り付けるステップであって、各ビデオ・ストリームは前記複数のチャネルのうちの1つに割り付けられるステップと、
複数の結合グループを提供するステップであって、各結合グループは、第1の数のビデオ・ストリームによって使用されない帯域幅を利用し、前記チャネルのうちの少なくとも2つに結合する、前記提供するステップと、
配信用の第2の数のビデオ・ストリームを前記複数の結合グループ上に割り付けるステップとを含む方法。 - 各結合グループのサイズは、フレキシブルに決定される請求項1記載の方法。
- 各チャネルは、DOCSISチャネルである請求項1記載の方法。
- 高速データによって、第1の数のビデオ・ストリームおよび第2の数のビデオ・ストリームによって使用されない帯域幅が利用される請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記高速データは、ベスト・エフォート型データ・トラフィック、ネット・サーフィン、適応型ストリーミング、およびビデオ・オン・デマンドのうちの少なくとも1つを含んでいる請求項4記載の方法。
- 前記複数のチャネルのすべての利用可能な帯域幅を利用して第1の数のビデオ・ストリームおよび第2の数のビデオ・ストリームを拡散すべく瞬間負荷分散を行うステップをさらに含む請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記複数のチャネルにビデオ・ストリームを適合させるべく統計多重化レート・シェイピングを行うことなしに、可変ビット・レートを使用して第1の数のビデオ・ストリームおよび第2の数のビデオ・ストリームを配信するステップをさらに含む請求項6記載の方法。
- 第1の数のビデオ・ストリームは、少なくとも1つのポピュラー・コンテンツ項目を含んでいる請求項1記載の方法。
- 第2の数のビデオ・ストリームは、少なくとも1つのロングテール・コンテンツ項目を含んでいる請求項1記載の方法。
- コンピュータ装置を備えたIPビデオ配信システムであって、
前記コンピュータ装置に配置された記憶装置と、
該記憶装置と通信可能に配置されたプロセッサとを備え、該プロセッサは、
配信用の第1の数のビデオ・ストリームを複数のチャネル上に割り付け、各ビデオ・ストリームは前記複数のチャネルのうちの1つに割り付けられることと、
複数の結合グループを提供し、各結合グループは、第1の数のビデオ・ストリームによって使用されない帯域幅を利用し、前記チャネルのうちの少なくとも2つに結合することと、
配信用の第2の数のビデオ・ストリームを前記複数の結合グループ上に割り付けることとを行うように構成される、システム。 - 各結合グループのサイズは、フレキシブルに決定される請求項10記載のシステム。
- 各チャネルは、DOCSISチャネルである請求項10記載のシステム。
- 高速データによって、第1の数のビデオ・ストリームおよび第2の数のビデオ・ストリームによって使用されない帯域幅が利用される請求項12記載のシステム。
- 前記高速データは、ベスト・エフォート型データ・トラフィック、ネット・サーフィン、適応型ストリーミング、およびビデオ・オン・デマンドのうちの少なくとも1つを含んでいる請求項13記載のシステム。
- 前記プロセッサは、前記複数のチャネルのすべての利用可能な帯域幅を利用して第1の数のビデオ・ストリームおよび第2の数のビデオ・ストリームを拡散すべく瞬間負荷分散を行うようにさらに構成されている請求項10記載のシステム。
- 前記プロセッサは、前記複数のチャネルにビデオ・ストリームを適合させるべく統計多重化レート・シェイピングを行うことなしに、可変ビット・レートを使用して第1の数のビデオ・ストリームおよび第2の数のビデオ・ストリームを配信するようにさらに構成されている請求項15記載のシステム。
- 第1の数のビデオ・ストリームは、少なくとも1つのポピュラー・コンテンツ項目を含んでいる請求項10記載のシステム。
- 第2の数のビデオ・ストリームは、少なくとも1つのロングテール・コンテンツ項目を含んでいる請求項10記載のシステム。
- コンピュータ実行可能命令を含む、非一時的なコンピュータ読取可能記録媒体であって、コンピュータ上で実行されると、
配信用の第1の数のビデオ・ストリームを複数のチャネル上に割り付ける手段であって、各ビデオ・ストリームは前記複数のチャネルのうちの1つに割り付けられる前記割り付ける手段と、
複数の結合グループを提供する手段であって、各結合グループは、第1の数のビデオ・ストリームによって使用されない帯域幅を利用し、前記チャネルのうちの少なくとも2つに結合する、前記提供する手段と、
配信用の第2の数のビデオ・ストリームを前記複数の結合グループ上に割り付ける手段と、を実行するためのプログラムを記録したコンピュータ読み取り可能な記録媒体。
