Description
本発明は、一定の多層支持体が、自動テープ敷設装置内でプリプレグを支持する裏材料として用いるのに特に好適であるという発見に係わるものである。本発明により、該自動テープ敷設装置に使用するテープ、それも、フィルム外側面とフィルム内側面とを備えた少なくとも1プラスチック・フィルムを有するプラスチック層から成る多層支持体を含むテープが得られる。該プラスチック・フィルムは、繊維層の内側面がフィルム内側面に接着されるように、繊維層に接着される。本発明の1特徴として、繊維強化材と未硬化樹脂母材とから成る未硬化複合材料層が、剥離可能にプラスチック層の外側面又は繊維層の外側面に接着されることで、自動テープ敷設装置に使用するのに適当なテープが得られる。
本発明は、多層支持体を含むプリプレグ・テープに係わり、並びに該テープを製造かつ使用する方法に係わるものである。加えて、本発明は、該テープのロール又はスプールと、該テープを内包する何らかの自動テープ敷設装置に係わるものである。
本発明の、以上に記載した特徴及びその他の多くの特徴と、それに付随する利点は、添付図面との関連で行う以下の詳細な説明を参照することにより、より良く理解されよう。
図4に示す別の好適多層支持体38は、プリプレグ4の支持に、又は自動テープ敷設装置に使用可能な何らかの別の未硬化複合材料の支持に使用できる。プリプレグの重量は25gsm〜2857gsmの範囲内で変動し、支持体の重量は50gsm〜200gsmの範囲である。好適支持体重量は80gsm〜140gsmである。また、好適プリプレグ重量は206gsm〜412gsmである。
プラスチック・フィルム52は、プラスチック・フィルム48に貼り合わせ接着するのが好ましい。しかし、所望とあれば、適当な熱貼り合わせ法又は他の加熱と接着の組み合わせも使用可能である。フィルム52の外側面は、支持体38の「ルーズな」側を得るために、シリコーン等の剥離剤で処理される。
例1
図3に示したのと等しい形式で多層支持体を製作した。この場合、繊維層26は2つのポリプロピレン・フィルム20,32の間に挟まれている。ポリプロピレン・フィルム20は、不透明の同時延伸ポリプロピレン・フィルムだった。フィルム20は、厚さ30(±4)マイクロメートル、幅300mm、重量24(±3)gsmであった。フィルム20のmd及びcdでの引張り強さは、双方とも、ISO 520−3/2/500により測定して約90N/mm2であった。md及びcdでの破断点伸びは、ISO 520−3/2/500で測定して双方とも約40%であった。
Claims (6)
- 自動テープ敷設装置で使用するためのテープのロールであって、未硬化複合材料が型に貼り付けられる形式のものにおいて、前記テープのロールが、ロール形状のテープを有し、前記テープは、
A.前記自動テープ敷設装置で前記テープが使用される間、前記未硬化複合材料を支持するための多層支持体を含み、前記多層支持体が、
a.外側面及び内側面を有する第1プラスチック層と、
b.外側面及び内側面を有する第2プラスチック層であり、前記第2プラスチック層の前記内側面が前記第1プラスチック層の外側面に接着される、第2プラスチック層と、
c.繊維外側面及び繊維内側面を有する繊維層であり、しかも、前記繊維内側面が第1プラスチック層の前記内側面に接着されており、前記繊維外側面が剥離剤で被覆されている、繊維層と、を有し、
B.前記テープは更に、繊維強化材と未硬化樹脂母材とから成る未硬化複合材料層を含み、前記未硬化複合材料層が、前記未硬化複合材料が前記型に貼り付けされるさい、型に向いて位置する第1複合面と、前記繊維外側面に剥離可能に接着されている第2複合面とを有しており、
前記多層支持体が、高接着性の側と低接着性の側とを含み、前記低接着性の側が、前記第2プラスチック層の前記外側面に対応し、前記高接着性の側が剥離剤で被覆されている前記繊維外側面に対応し、前記テープがロール形状の時のみ前記低接着性の側が前記未硬化複合材料層の前記第1複合面に接触する、自動テープ敷設装置で使用するためのテープのロール。 - 前記第1プラスチック層が、同時延伸ポリプロピレン・フィルムを備える、請求項1記載の自動テープ敷設装置で使用するためのテープのロール。
- 前記第2プラスチック層は、吹込み延伸されたポリエチレン・フィルムを備える、請求項2記載の自動テープ敷設装置で使用するためのテープのロール。
- 前記第1プラスチック層と前記第2プラスチック層とが接着剤で接着される、請求項1記載の自動テープ敷設装置で使用するためのテープのロール。
- 前記第2プラスチック層の前記外側面が剥離剤で被覆されている、請求項1記載の自動テープ敷設装置で使用するためのテープのロール。
- 前記第1プラスチック層が、前記第2プラスチック層より高い横断方向引張り強さを有している、請求項1記載の自動テープ敷設装置で使用するためのテープのロール。
