Claims (18)
- 双安定ディスプレイにおける表示保持モード中のフリッカを低減する方法であって、双安定ディスプレイは、複数の行電極、複数の列電極、及び複数の微小電気機械システム(MEMS)表示要素を具備し、各MEMS表示要素は、複数の行電極のうち一つと、複数の列電極のうち一つとを具備し、ディスプレイの隣接の行及び/又は隣接の列に、逆極性のバイアス電位を印加する過程を具備し、逆極性の前記バイアス電位は、MEMS表示要素の状態を作動又は非作動状態から変更しないことを特徴とする方法。
- 第1組の逆極性のバイアス電位は、ディスプレイの行に印加され、第2組のバイアス電位は、ディスプレイの列に印加されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- バイアス電位は、要素の帯電を最小にすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第1及び第2組の電圧は、実質的に同時に印加されることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。
- バイアス電位は、保持モードフリッカが空間的にディザリングされるように印加されることを特徴とする請求項1から4のうち何れか1項に記載の方法。
- フリッカは、行方向と、列方向と、行及び列の両方向とのうち少なくとも一つで空間的にディザリングされることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の方法。
- 複数の双安定微小電気機械システム(MEMS)表示装置を駆動する方法であって:
画像を表示するために装置に画像データを書き込む過程と;
表示装置に保持信号を印加する過程と;を具備し、
保持信号は、MEMS表示装置の状態を作動又は非作動状態から変更せず、また保持信号は、一組の表示装置に印加され、一組の表示装置からの光出力の差を空間的にディザリングし、視覚フリッカが前記印加中に一組の前記表示装置において低減されることを特徴とする方法。 - 保持信号は、逆極性と、異なる振幅とのうち少なくとも一つからなる信号を具備することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の方法。
- 隣接のMEMS表示要素は、極性と振幅とのうち少なくとも一つによって異なる保持信号を受信することを特徴とする請求項8に記載の方法。
- 一組は、行、列、一部の行、一部の列、一部の多数行、及び一部の多数列のうち少なくとも一つを具備することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の方法。
- 一組は、隣接しているMEMS表示要素を含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の方法。
- 一組は、隣接しているMEMS表示要素を含まないことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の方法。
- 表示アレイのMEMS表示装置に信号を印加して表示装置に画像データを書き込んで画像を表示するように、及び保持信号を表示装置に印加するように、ディスプレイドライバ回路を制御するモジュールを記憶するコンピュータ読取可能なメモリであって、保持信号は、MEMS表示装置の状態を作動又は非作動状態から変更せず、また保持信号は、一組の表示装置からの光出力の差を空間的にディザリングするために一組の表示装置に印加されるので、視覚フリッカは、前記印加中に一組の前記表示装置において低減されることを特徴とするメモリ。
- 保持信号は、逆極性と、異なる振幅とのうち少なくとも一つからなる信号を具備することを特徴とする請求項13に記載のコンピュータ読取可能なメモリ。
- 隣接のMEMS表示要素は、極性と振幅とのうち少なくとも一つによって異なる保持信号を受信することを特徴とする請求項14に記載のコンピュータ読取可能なメモリ。
- 一組は、行、列、一部の行、一部の列、一部の多数行、及び一部の多数列のうち少なくとも一つを具備することを特徴とする請求項13に記載のコンピュータ読取可能なメモリ。
- 一組は、隣接しているMEMS表示要素を含むことを特徴とする請求項13に記載のコンピュータ読取可能なメモリ。
- 一組は、隣接しているMEMS表示要素を含まないことを特徴とする請求項13に記載のコンピュータ読取可能なメモリ。
