Claims (8)
- 正常な動作段階に先立つガス抜き段階を含む、最初にガス抜きをする耐火物の表面に溶融ガラスを接触させることを含むガラス物品の製造方法であって、
(1)前記ガス抜き段階においては、前記耐火物に接触する前記溶融ガラスが平均粘度η1を有し、
(2)前記正常な動作段階においては、前記耐火物に接触する前記溶融ガラスが平均粘度η2を有し、
(3)比η2/η1が少なくとも1.05である、
ことを特徴とする、ガラス物品の製造方法。 - 前記溶融ガラスを接触させる前記耐火物は、ジルコン、ジルコニア、YPO4、Al2O3、SiO2、SiC、SiNおよびそれらの組合せおよび混合物から選ばれたセラミックを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1記載のガラス物品の製造方法。
- 前記ガラス物品の製造方法が、ガラスシートを作製するためのフュ−ジョン・ダウンドロー法によるものであり、かつ前記耐火物がアイソパイプを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1または2記載のガラス物品の製造方法。
- 前記ガス抜き段階は、前記正常な動作段階において前記溶融ガラスが接触する前記耐火物の表面の全ての領域を覆うことを可能にするのに十分な持続時間を有することを特徴とする、請求項1から3の何れか1項記載のガラス物品の製造方法。
- 前記ガス抜き段階は、前記正常な動作段階における位置に対して前記アイソパイプを、−5°≦θ≦5°である傾き角θをもって傾けるステップを含むことを特徴とする、請求項3または4記載のガラス物品の製造方法。
- 前記ガス抜き段階が、−5°≦θ<0°である第1の傾けるステップおよび0°<θ≦5°である第2の傾けるステップを含むことを特徴とする、請求項5記載のガラス物品の製造方法。
- 前記溶融ガラスは、前記ガス抜き段階において平均流量FR1を有し、前記正常な動作段階において平均流量FR2を有し、かつ比FR1/FR2が0.2から0.8までであることを特徴とする、請求項1から6の何れか1項記載のガラス物品の製造方法。
- 前記溶融ガラスの粘度η2に対応する温度が少なくとも1000℃であることを特徴とする、請求項1から7の何れか1項記載のガラス物品の製造方法。
