Description
(項目1)

該視覚指標は、身体の導管または腔の中に所定の軸方向治療を提供するように、所定の間隔距離で分離される、装置。
(項目2)
上記所定の軸方向治療は、上記エネルギー送達要素による上記身体の導管または腔についての連続的な、重複的な、断続的な、またはそれらの組み合わせの治療を備える、項目1に記載のエネルギー送達装置。
(項目3)
上記エネルギー送達要素は、電極を備え、上記所定の間隔距離は、活性電極の長さを備える、項目1に記載のエネルギー送達装置。
(項目4)
上記所定の間隔は、約3mm乃至約30mmの範囲の距離を備える、項目1に記載のエネルギー送達装置。
(項目5)
上記所定の間隔は、約5mmの距離を備える、項目1に記載のエネルギー送達装置。
(項目6)
上記複数の視覚指標は、2つの円形のバンドまたはリングを備える、項目1に記載のエネルギー送達装置。
(項目7)
上記複数の視覚指標は、4つの円形のバンドまたはリングを備える、項目1に記載のエネルギー送達装置。
(項目8)
上記複数の視覚指標は、2つの同一のマーカを備える、項目1に記載のエネルギー送達装置。
(項目9)
上記複数の視覚指標は、異なる色または一様でない構成を有する2つのマーカを備える、項目1に記載のエネルギー送達装置。
(項目10)
上記細長本体は、管状のシースまたはシャフトを備える、項目1に記載のエネルギー送達装置。
(項目11)
上記細長本体の上記近位部分上に配置される近位マーカをさらに備える、項目1に記載のエネルギー送達装置。
(項目12)
喘息を治療するために、肺気道の中で使用する無線周波数エネルギー送達装置であって、
近位端を伴う近位部分と、遠位端を伴う遠位部分とを有する細長本体と、
該細長本体の該遠位端に配置される無線周波数電極と、
該細長本体の該遠位部分上に配置される複数の視覚指標であって、該視覚指標は、喘息を治療するために、肺気道の中に所定の軸方向治療を提供するように、所定の間隔距離で分離される、複数の視覚指標と
を備える、装置。
(項目13)
肺気道の中でエネルギーを送達する方法であって、
視覚化要素を有するアクセス装置を肺気道の中に配置することと、
該アクセス装置の中でエネルギー送達装置を前進させることであって、該エネルギー送達装置の遠位部分上と、該エネルギー送達装置の遠位端上に配置されるエネルギー素子送達要素の近位とに配置される視覚指標が、該視覚化要素によって確認されるように、該アクセス装置の外側に配置されることにより、肺気道の中での所定の軸方向治療に、該アクセス装置に関連して該エネルギー送達要素を提供する、ことと
を包含する、方法。
(項目14)
上記所定の軸方向治療は、上記エネルギー送達要素による肺気道の連続的な、重複的な、断続的な、またはそれらの組み合わせの治療を含む、項目13に記載の方法。
(項目15)
上記所定の軸方向治療は、少なくとも10mmの長さの肺気道の連続的な治療を含む、項目13に記載の方法。
(項目16)
上記視覚化要素によって確認されるように、上記エネルギー送達装置の上記遠位部分上に配置される最後の視覚指標を上記アクセス装置の外側に配置することをさらに包含する、項目13に記載の方法。
(項目17)
エネルギー送達要素を上記アクセス装置の外側および肺気道の中において展開および活性化することをさらに包含する、項目16に記載の方法。
(項目18)
上記エネルギー送達装置の上記遠位部分上に配置される次の視覚指標が、上記視覚化要素によって確認されるまで、上記アクセス装置に対して、該エネルギー送達要素を後退させること、および該エネルギー送達装置を近位方向に引張ることをさらに包含する、項目17に記載の方法。
(項目19)
上記アクセス装置に関連して、肺気道の中で上記所定の軸方向治療を提供するように、展開すること、活性化すること、後退させること、および近位に引張ることのステップを繰り返すことをさらに包含する、項目18に記載の方法。
(項目20)
エネルギー送達要素を上記アクセス装置の外側および気道の中において展開することおよび活性化することをさらに包含する、項目13に記載の方法。
(項目21)
上記エネルギー送達要素を後退させることと、上記視覚化要素によって確認されるように、該エネルギー送達装置の上記遠位部分上に配置される第2の視覚指標を上記アクセス装置の外側に配置することとをさらに包含する、項目20に記載の方法。
(項目22)
上記アクセス装置に関連して、肺気道の中で上記所定の軸方向治療を提供するように、展開すること、活性化すること、後退させること、および配置することのステップを繰り返すことをさらに包含する、項目21に記載の方法。
(項目23)
第1の視覚指標の視覚化によって、上記アクセス装置の中での上記エネルギー送達要素の時期尚早の展開を防止することをさらに包含する、項目13に記載の方法。
(項目24)
最後の視覚指標の視覚化によって、上記アクセス装置から所定の距離を越える上記エネルギー送達要素の遠位の前進を防止することをさらに包含する、項目13に記載の方法。
(項目25)
肺気道の中の解剖学的目印によって、上記1つの視覚指標の位置を調整することをさらに包含する、項目13に記載の方法。
(項目26)
視覚指標の配置によって、肺気道の長さを測定することをさらに包含する、項目13に記載の方法。
(項目27)
視覚指標の配置によって、上記エネルギー送達要素の深度を測定することをさらに包含する、項目13に記載の方法。
肺の中等の組織領域を治療する際に、治療装置は、装置の誘導を容易にし、所定の軸方向治療に従って、効果的かつ効率的に組織を治療するために、自身の外側表面に沿って、複数のマーカ、リング、バンド、または他の視覚指標を有する細長シースまたはシャフトを利用してもよい。所定の軸方向治療は、マーカ間隔によって決定されるように、または所望に応じて、連続的であっても(隣接していても)、重複的であっても、断続的に間隔を置いていても(ギャップがあっても)、またはそれらの組み合わせであってもよい。また、視覚指標は、さらに後述されるように、治療装置の深度、組織の長さ、および/または治療の長さを測定するための機構として機能してもよい。
システムの変形例は、光エネルギー源、レーザシステム、抵抗加熱システム、赤外線加熱要素、マイクロ波エネルギーシステム、集束超音波、冷凍アブレーション、放射線、電気刺激、あるいは任意の他のエネルギー送達システムまたは構成を含んでもよい。
Claims (10)
- 身体の導管または腔の中で使用するエネルギー送達装置であって、
近位端を伴う近位部分と、遠位端を伴う遠位部分とを有する細長本体と、
該細長本体の該遠位端に配置されるエネルギー送達要素であって、複数の脚部を備えたバスケットを含み、該エネルギー送達要素は、電極を備え、そして該複数の脚部の少なくとも1つが長さを有する活性電極領域を含むエネルギー送達要素と、
該細長本体の該遠位部分上に配置される複数の視覚指標と
を備え、
該視覚指標は、身体の導管または腔の中に所定の軸方向治療を提供するように、所定の間隔距離で分離され、
該所定の軸方向治療は、該エネルギー送達要素による該身体の導管または腔についての連続的な、重複的な、断続的な、またはそれらの組み合わせの治療を備え、該所定の間隔距離は、該活性電極領域の長さに対応する、エネルギー送達装置。 - 前記所定の間隔は、3mm乃至30mmの範囲の距離を備える、請求項1に記載のエネルギー送達装置。
- 前記所定の間隔は、5mmの距離を備える、請求項1に記載のエネルギー送達装置。
- 前記複数の視覚指標は、2つの円形のバンドまたはリングを備える、請求項1に記載のエネルギー送達装置。
- 前記複数の視覚指標は、4つの円形のバンドまたはリングを備える、請求項1に記載のエネルギー送達装置。
- 前記複数の視覚指標は、2つの同一のマーカを備える、請求項1に記載のエネルギー送達装置。
- 前記複数の視覚指標は、異なる色または一様でない構成を有する2つのマーカを備える、請求項1に記載のエネルギー送達装置。
- 前記細長本体は、管状のシースまたはシャフトを備える、請求項1に記載のエネルギー送達装置。
- 前記細長本体の前記近位部分上に配置される近位マーカをさらに備える、請求項1に記載のエネルギー送達装置。
- 喘息を治療するために、肺気道の中で使用する無線周波数エネルギー送達装置であって、
近位端を伴う近位部分と、遠位端を伴う遠位部分とを有する細長本体と、
該細長本体の該遠位端に配置されるエネルギー送達要素であって、複数の脚部を備えたバスケットを含み、該エネルギー送達要素は、電極を備え、そして該複数の脚部の少なくとも1つが長さを有する活性電極領域を含むエネルギー送達要素と、
該細長本体の該遠位部分上に配置される複数の視覚指標であって、該視覚指標は、喘息を治療するために、肺気道の中に所定の軸方向治療を提供するように、所定の間隔距離で分離され、
該所定の軸方向治療は、該エネルギー送達要素による該身体の導管または腔についての連続的な、重複的な、断続的な、またはそれらの組み合わせの治療を備える、複数の視覚指標と
