Description
前記乾燥工程で、ディップされた前記有機繊維コードに対し、マイクロ波および遠赤外線を連続して照射することを特徴とするものである。
本発明は、有機繊維が撚糸されてなるタイヤ補強用の有機繊維コードの改質方法であって、有機繊維コードを接着剤にディップするディップ工程と、ディップされた有機繊維コードを乾燥する乾燥工程と、乾燥された有機繊維コードを改質する熱処理工程とを含むものである。
有機繊維コードを接着剤にディップするためのディップ槽と、ディップされた有機繊維コードを乾燥するための乾燥炉A,Bと、乾燥された有機繊維コードを改質するための熱処理炉A,Bとを備える改質処理設備において、以下、下記の表1および2中に示す処理条件をそれぞれ適用して、有機繊維コードの改質処理を行った。有機繊維コードとしては、材質:ポリエチレンテレフタレート,原糸繊度:1670dtex,撚本数:2本,上撚数×下撚数:39回/10cm×39回/10cmのものを用い、明確な結果を得るために、この試験を実施する前に、あらかじめ有機繊維コードにエポキシ化合物を用いて改質処理を施した。また、接着剤としては、通常タイヤ補強用コードに使用されているRFL液を用いた。
トータル処理時間は、乾燥工程および熱処理工程に要した処理時間の総和を、比較例2を100とする指数にて示したものであり、数値が小さいほど高効率処理であることを示す。
乾燥工程での糸の切れやすさは、一回に処理する単線コードの総数を100として、ディップ処理中に発生した糸切れ本数と、ディップ処理後に発見された切れかかっている糸の本数との総和を指数で示した値により評価した。数値が小さいほど結果が良好である。
水分率は、乾燥工程を経た有機繊維コードのうち約3gを試料として取り出し、この試料につき、島津製作所社製の電子水分計を用いて温度を300℃に設定して測定した。
破断強力および中間伸度はそれぞれ、JISL 1017に準拠して、島津製作所社製のオートグラフを用いて測定した。なお、改質前(ディップ処理前)の有機繊維コードの破断強力は238N、中間伸度は11.8%であった。
熱収縮率は、改質した有機繊維コードに50gの引張負荷を加えた状態で、177℃のオーブン内に30分間置いたときの収縮量を測定し、この収縮量を元の長さで除したものに100を乗じて算出した。なお、改質前の有機繊維コードの熱収縮率は7.0%であった。
接着力は、改質した有機繊維コードをゴム中に埋設し、これを所定の温度、圧力下で加硫した後に、有機繊維コードをゴム中から引き抜くのに要した引張力により評価した。結果は、比較例2の引張力の値を100とする指数にて示した。数値が大なるほど結果が良好である。
Claims (7)
- 有機繊維が撚糸されてなるタイヤ補強用の有機繊維コードを接着剤にディップするディップ工程と、ディップされた該有機繊維コードを乾燥する乾燥工程と、乾燥された該有機繊維コードを改質する熱処理工程とを含む有機繊維コードの改質方法において、
前記乾燥工程で、ディップされた前記有機繊維コードに対し、マイクロ波および遠赤外線を連続して照射することを特徴とする有機繊維コードの改質方法。 - 前記マイクロ波の照射時間が、1.5〜3.5秒間である請求項1記載の有機繊維コードの改質方法。
- 前記遠赤外線の照射時間が、6〜15秒間である請求項1または2記載の有機繊維コードの改質方法。
- 前記マイクロ波の照射出力が、1.5〜7.5kW/mである請求項1〜3のうちいずれか一項に記載の有機繊維コードの改質方法。
- 前記遠赤外線の照射出力が、16〜48kW/mである請求項1〜4のうちいずれか一項に記載の有機繊維コードの改質方法。
- 前記有機繊維コードの水分率が、0.1〜4.0%である請求項1〜5のうちいずれか一項に記載の有機繊維コードの改質方法。
- 前記有機繊維コードとして、緯糸を有しない単線コードを1〜250本にて同時に改質する請求項1〜6のうちいずれか一項に記載の有機繊維コードの改質方法。
