但し、モノマーAは、重合性ワックスDで被覆された顔料Pを意味し、ここでその重合性官能基はエチレン性不飽和基であり、そして
モノマーBは、エチレン性不飽和化合物であり;
(b) ポリエーテル及び/またはポリグリセリンに基づく少なくとも一種のノニオン性表面活性添加剤E;
(c) スルホネート、スルフェート、ホスホネート、ホスフェートまたはカルボキシレートに基づく少なくとも一種のアニオン性表面活性添加剤F;

重合性ワックスDの製造は、ポリールを長鎖脂肪族カルボン酸と反応させて部分エステルとすることによって行われる。この部分エステルは、更にジカルボン酸でエステル化することによって、ポリエステルワックスに転化することができる。前記の部分エステル成分には、エステル化により更にエチレン性不飽和酸を結合することができ、そうして40〜90℃の融点を有する固体の反応性生成物が生ずる。この種の反応性化合物は既知であり、そして例えば (R) Licomont ER 165(Clariant)の名称で商業的に入手することができる。

有色ポリマー粒子である。
粉末またはプレスケーキとしての顔料を、分散剤、有機溶剤及び他の添加剤と一緒に脱イオン水中でペースト化し、次いでディスソルバまたは他の適当な装置を用いて均一化、予備分散する。次の微分散は、ビーズミル(例えばNetzsch社のMiniZETA 03)または他の適当な分散装置を用いて行い、この際、粉砕は、冷却しながら、顔料粒子の所望の粒度分布まで行う。次いで、分散物を、脱イオン水を用いて、所望の顔料濃度に調節する。
重合性ワックスD(例えば、酸価10.0の(R)Licomont ER 165)を、ガラスタンク中で、約120℃の温度下にゆっくりと攪拌しながら溶融する。
ノニオン性界面活性剤(Niotensid、添加剤E)及びアニオン性界面活性剤(添加剤F)を、第二の容器中で、90℃下に溶剤(例えば1,2−プロピレングリコール)中に溶解し、そしてKOHと混合する。
この際生ずる乳化剤混合物を、 強く攪拌しながら、約100〜120℃下に前記のワックス溶融物中に混ぜ入れる。
ここで生ずる溶融物を、約90℃にした顔料分散物(a)中にゆっくりと注ぎ入れ、そしてこの温度で短時間、更に攪拌する。次いで、更に別の添加剤(例えば防腐剤)を加える。
水、アニオン性界面活性剤(中和したもの)、及び15%のモノマー混合物B1を反応器中に入れ、そして約75℃に加熱する。パーオキソ二硫酸アンモニウムを脱塩した水中に熔解し、そして前記の反応混合物中に加える。この混合物を80℃に加熱する。反応を開始した後、残りのモノマー混合物B1を1時間かけて反応器中に計量添加する。その後、(b)からのワックス被覆顔料分散物を、78℃より高い温度下に30〜45分間かけて導入する。その後、モノマー混合物B2を80℃で計量添加し、そしてこの温度で2時間攪拌する。未反応モノマーを留去し、そして得られる反応混合物を35℃以下に冷却する。アスコルビン酸及びH2O2を加え、得られる混合物を30分間攪拌し、防腐剤を加え、そしてpH値を、KOHを加えて7に調節する。次いで、50μmフィルターに通して濾過する。

ワックスミニエマルションの調製のために、溶融した形の重合性ワックスDを、ノニオン性界面活性剤及びアニオン性界面活性剤を含む水溶液中に、ワックスDの溶融温度よりも高い温度で混ぜ入れ、そして場合によって分散する。この際、水中油型エマルションが得られる。
(b)で調製したミニエマルションを、残りのノニオン性界面活性剤及びアニオン性界面活性剤と混合し、そして(a)で調製した顔料分散物を計量添加する。粉砕装置もしくは分散装置を用いて、ワックスを、顔料粒子上に粉砕して付与する。
第一方法に記載の手順と同様。
使用例:
本発明による顔料分散物、並びに比較としての対応する標準的な分散物(上記の段階a)を印刷インキに配合した。本発明によるポリマー分散物の場合でのみ、インキが紙の裏に移るのを防止することができた。光沢があり耐水性の印刷像が得られた。標準的な分散物を用いた場合は、印刷像は耐水性ではなく、また事実上光沢がなかった。
本発明のポリマー分散物並びに比較としての対応する標準的な分散物(a)を、ワニス及びエマルションペイント中に配合した。本発明のポリマー分散物を含む塗料は、標準的な分散物を用いた場合と比べて耐水性がかなり高かった。
本発明によるポリマー分散物、並びに比較としての対応する標準的な分散物(a)を噴霧乾燥して、粉末塗料中に配合した。
本発明による粉末塗料の場合には、標準的な粉末塗料と比べると、カラーイールドがより高くかつ焼き付け後のマトリックスへの化学的な定着はかなりより良好であった。
Claims (14)
- 本質的な成分として、
(a) モノマーAとモノマーBとを重合することによって製造されるカラーポリマー、但し、モノマーAは、重合性ワックスDで被覆された顔料Pを意味し、この際、その重合性官能基は、エチレン性不飽和基であり、そしてモノマーBは、エチレン性不飽和化合物であり、重合性ワックスDは、ポリオール、長鎖脂肪族カルボン酸、及び少なくとも一種のエチレン性不飽和カルボン酸からの反応生成物であり、そしてジカルボン酸の添加によってオリゴマー化されていてもよい;
(b) ポリエーテル及び/またはポリグリセリンに基づくノニオン性表面活性添加剤Eの少なくとも一種;
(c) スルホネート、スルフェート、ホスホネート、ホスフェートまたはカルボキシレートに基づくアニオン性表面活性添加剤Fの少なくとも一種;
(d) 水、
を含む、有色ポリマー分散物。 - 2〜60重量%の成分(a)、
0.1〜15重量%の成分(b)、
0.1〜15重量%の成分(c)、
10〜90重量%の水、
0〜20重量%の慣用の助剤、
(上記重量%の合計は100重量%を超えない)
を特徴とする、請求項1のポリマー分散物。 - 顔料Pが、有機有彩色顔料、無機有彩色顔料、白色顔料、カーボンブラック顔料、またはこれらの顔料の複数種の組み合わせであることを特徴とする、請求項1または2のポリマー分散物。
- 顔料Pが、アゾ顔料、アンタントロン顔料、アントラピリミジン顔料、キナクリドン顔料、キノフタロン顔料、ジケトピロロピロール顔料、ジオキサジン顔料、インダントロン顔料、イソインドリン顔料、イソインドリノン顔料、イソビオラントロン顔料、ペリレン顔料、ペリノン顔料、フタロシアニン顔料、ピラントロン顔料、ピラゾロキナゾロン顔料、チオインディゴ顔料、トリアリールカルボニウム顔料、またはこれらの組み合わせであることを特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれか一つのポリマー分散物。
- 顔料Pが、黄色顔料、シアン顔料、マゼンタ顔料または黒色顔料であることを特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれか一つのポリマー分散物。
- モノマーBが、アクリレート類、メタクリレート類またはビニルベンゼン類から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項1〜5のいずれか一つのポリマー分散物。
- 前記カラーポリマー(a)が、顔料P 5〜95重量%、被膜D 2.5〜50重量%、及びDと反応させたモノマーB 2.5〜50重量%からなることを特徴とする、請求項1〜6のいずれか一つのポリマー分散物。
- 顔料Pを水性懸濁液の状態で成分b)及びc)の少なくとも一部と一緒に剪断力の作用の下に微細化し、こうして調製された顔料分散物を、重合性ワックスDと、場合によっては及びモノマーBの一部と一緒に、場合によっては更に成分b)及び/またはc)を添加して、Dの軟化点よりも高い温度において均一化し、こうして調製された被覆された顔料分散物を、水、モノマーB、及び場合によっては更に成分c)及び/またはd)からなる混合物と混合し、そして重合することを特徴とする、請求項1〜7のいずれか一つのポリマー分散物の製造方法。
- 溶融した重合性ワックスD、成分b)及び成分c)からミニエマルションを調製し、これを、顔料Pの水性懸濁液と一緒に、剪断力の作用下に微細化に付し、こうして調製された被覆された顔料調合物を、水、モノマーB、及び場合によっては更に成分c)及び/またはd)からなる混合物と混合し、そして重合することを特徴とする、請求項1〜7のいずれか一つのポリマー分散物の製造方法。
- 水性塗料、ワニス、エマルションペイント、印刷用着色料及びインキの着色のため、並びに紙、木材及び皮革の着色のための、請求項1〜7のいずれか一つのポリマー分散物の使用。
- インクジェットインキの着色のための請求項1〜7のいずれか一つのポリマー分散物の使用。
- ・顔料5〜95重量%、及び
・重合性官能基としてエチレン性不飽和基を有する重合性ワックスD2.5〜50重量%と、Dのエチレン性不飽和基と反応することができる官能基を有するモノマーB2.5〜50重量%とを重合することによって製造される、重合された被膜、
からなり、但し、前記重量%は、被覆された顔料粒子の総重量をそれぞれ基準とし、かつ重量%の合計は100重量%を超えず、
この際、前記重合性ワックスDは、ポリオール、長鎖脂肪族カルボン酸、及び少なくとも一種のエチレン性不飽和カルボン酸からの反応生成物であり、そしてジカルボン酸の添加によってオリゴマー化されていることができるものである、
有色ポリマー粒子。 - 請求項1〜7のいずれか一つに記載の有色ポリマー分散物から溶剤を除去しそして乾燥することを特徴とする、請求項12の有色ポリマー粒子の製造方法。
- インクジェットインキ、粉末塗料、UV硬化性ワニス、電子写真用トナー及び現像剤の着色のための、請求項12のポリマー粒子の使用。
