Description
Claims (6)
- 接続される光コネクタを通じて光通信を行う光通信用モジュールであって、
金属製の筐体と、
前記筐体に保持されると共に、前記筐体の外部に露出した先端部に前記光コネクタとの接続口を有し、前記接続口に接続される前記光コネクタとの間で前記光通信に係る信号光の授受を行う光ポート部と、
前記筐体に取り付けられ前記筐体の内外を仕切ると共に、前記光ポート部の前記先端部を挿通穴に挿通させて前記筐体の外部に露出させる金属製の鍔状仕切部材と、
を備え、
前記鍔状仕切部材は、
前記挿通穴が形成された板状部と、当該板状部の周縁部に立設された周縁側壁部とを有しており、
前記周縁側壁部を前記筐体に接触させて当該筐体に電気的に接続され、前記筐体によって保持されていることを特徴とする光通信用モジュール。 - 前記筐体には、
前記鍔状仕切部材を挟み込む一対の対向する嵌合溝が設けられており、
前記鍔状仕切部材は、
両端の前記周縁側壁部の外側面をそれぞれ前記嵌合溝の底面に押し当てた状態で、前記嵌合溝同士の間に挟み込まれることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光通信用モジュール。 - 前記鍔状仕切部材が前記嵌合溝同士の間に挟み込まれる前には、
前記周縁側壁部は、前記板状部の周縁部から先端に行くほど外側に広がる形状をなしており、
前記鍔状仕切部材が前記嵌合溝同士の間に挟み込まれたときに、
前記周縁側壁部の先端が内側に狭まるように弾性変形し、この弾性変形で発生する弾性力によって前記周縁側壁部の外側面が前記嵌合溝の底面に押し当てられていることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の光通信用モジュール。 - 前記周縁側壁部の前記外側面と、当該外側面に押し当てられる前記嵌合溝の前記底面と、は、平面で接触することを特徴とする請求項2又は3に記載の光通信用モジュール。
- 前記鍔状仕切部材は、前記光ポート部に非接触の状態で配置されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜4の何れか1項に記載の光通信用モジュール。
- 前記光ポート部の前記先端部は、非金属材料からなることを特徴とする請求項1〜5の何れか1項に記載の光通信用モジュール。
