Description
ブラシシール26、42間に分離ガス供給通路68を設けて、該シール26、42間での分離ガス(例えば、窒素)の流れを可能にするようにする。バリヤシール24の作動状態時に、第1のブラシシール26と第2のブラシシール42との間の供給通路68を通してシーリングガス(不活性ガス、例えば窒素)が流れかつ第2のベント70を通して流出する。ガスの流れは、第2のブラシシール42を軸受に向かって移動させる開き力を発生させて乾式ガスシール内への軸受潤滑油の侵入の防止を行う。他の特定の例示的な実施形態では、ラビリンスシール64、66を、固定ブラシシールと平行に重合せかつ回転機械のロータスリーブと接触するように構成することができる。

乾式ガスシール(18、20)と、
前記乾式ガスシール(18、20)と前記軸受(15)との間に配置されかつ複数の非金属繊維(28)を含む第1のブラシシール(26)と、
前記第1のブラシシール(26)と前記軸受(15)との間に配置されかつ複数の非金属繊維(28)を含む第2のブラシシール(42)と、
前記第1のブラシシールまたは前記第2のブラシシールの前記非金属繊維を結合するように構成された取り付け装置と、
を含む、
回転機械(10)。 - 前記非金属繊維(28)が、ケブラー繊維、カーボン繊維、カーバイド繊維又はその組合せを含む、請求項1に記載の回転機械(10)。
- 前記第1のブラシシール(26)又は第2のブラシシール(42)と平行に重合された少なくとも1つの付加的シール(22、64、66)をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の回転機械(10)。
- 前記少なくとも1つの付加的シールが、1つ又はそれ以上のカーボン端面シール、ラビリンスシール、アブレイダブルラビリンスシール、金属ブラシシール又はその組合せを含む、請求項3に記載の回転機械(10)。
