Claims (4)
- ガスタービンエンジン内の燃焼を制御する方法であって、
一次燃焼室と、前記一次燃焼室の下流側に設けられたトランジションピースとを提供するステップと、
前記一次燃焼室を通る圧縮空気ストリーム中に第1の燃料を噴射して燃焼ストリームを形成し、前記第1の燃料の燃焼により、前記トランジションピースの入口にて、前記燃焼ストリームを横切って第1の半径方向温度プロフィールが形成されるようなステップと、
前記トランジションピース内の前記燃焼ストリームの相対的に低温の部分に第2の燃料を選択的に噴射するステップであって、前記第2の燃料の燃焼が、前記燃焼ストリームの相対的に低温の部分を選択的に加熱し、また、前記第2の燃料の燃焼が、前記トランジションピースの入口での前記第1の半径方向温度プロフィールと比較して一様なプロフィールとなるような第2の半径方向温度プロフィールを前記トランジションピースの出口に提供するのに効果的であるようなステップと、
前記トランジションピースが、少なくとも、中心ゾーン、前記中心ゾーンから周囲に外向きに位置づけられた第1のゾーン、および、前記第1のゾーンから周囲に外向きに位置づけられた第2のゾーンを含み、また、前記第2の燃料を噴射するステップが、
前記第2の燃料の第1の量を前記第1のゾーンに噴射するステップであって、前記第1のゾーン内の前記燃焼ストリームの一部の平均温度を、第1の大きさだけ高くするのに効果的であるステップと、
前記第2の燃料の第2の量を前記第2のゾーンに噴射するステップであって、前記第2のゾーン内の前記燃焼ストリームの一部の平均温度を、前記第1の大きさとは異なる第2の大きさだけ高くするのに効果的であるステップと、を含み、
前記第2の燃料を前記第1のゾーンと前記第2のゾーンに噴射する前記ステップが、前記トランジションピースの外周の周りに設けられた複数の第1のインジェクタと複数の第2のインジェクタから前記第2の燃料を半径方向に噴射することによって行われ、また、前記複数の第1のインジェクタが、前記第1のゾーン中に前記第2の燃料の第1の量を噴射するのに効果的であり、さらに、前記複数の第2のインジェクタが、前記第2のゾーン中に前記第2の燃料の第2の量を噴射するのに効果的であり、
前記複数の第1のインジェクタが、前記第1のゾーン中に前記第2の燃料の第1の量の半径方向ストリームを噴射するのに効果的であり、また、前記複数の第2のインジェクタが、前記第2のゾーン中に前記第2の燃料の第2の量を均質に分散して噴射するのに効果的であり、
前記複数の第1のインジェクタが、前記第2の燃料の第1の量を半径方向に噴射できる中心穴を持つノズルを備え、また、前記複数の第2のインジェクタが、前記第2の燃料の第2の量の第1の部分を半径方向に噴射できる中心穴と、前記中心穴に対して傾斜していて、前記第2の燃料の第2の量の追加部分を斜めに噴射できる複数の噴射穴とを持つノズルを備え、前記第2の燃料の第2の量は、前記第1の部分と前記追加部分とからなることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記複数の第1のインジェクタのノズルが第1の長さのノズルを備え、また、前記複数の第2のインジェクタのノズルが、前記第1の長さよりも短い第2の長さのノズルを備える請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の燃料を噴射するステップよりも前に、前記第2の燃料を、蒸気、窒素、二酸化炭素、不活性ガスから成るグループから選択された希釈剤または複数の希釈剤の組合せたものと混合するステップをさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- ガスタービン燃焼システム用の燃焼器であって、
第1の燃料を燃焼させて燃焼ストリームを作り出すようにした一次燃焼室と、
前記一次燃焼室から前記燃焼ストリームを受け取って、第2の燃料を燃焼させるトランジションピースであって、中心領域、前記中心領域から周囲に外向きに位置づけられた第1のゾーン、前記第1のゾーンから周囲に外向きに位置づけられた第2のゾーン、および、前記トランジションピースの外周の周りに設けられて前記第2の燃料を噴射する複数のインジェクタを有するトランジションピースと、を備え、
前記複数のインジェクタが、複数の第1のインジェクタと複数の第2のインジェクタから成っており、
前記第1のインジェクタが、前記第2の燃料の半径方向ストリームを前記第1のゾーン中に噴射するのに効果的であり、また、前記第2のインジェクタが、前記第2の燃料を均質に分散して前記第2のゾーン中に噴射するのに効果的であり、
前記複数の第1のインジェクタが、前記第2の燃料を半径方向に噴射できる中心穴を持つノズルを備え、また、前記複数の第2のインジェクタが、前記第2の燃料を半径方向に噴射できる中心穴と、前記中心穴に対して傾斜していて、前記第2の燃料を斜めに噴射できる複数の噴射穴とを持つノズルを備える、燃焼器。
