Description
Claims (7)
- 光学スプリッタ装置であって、
中空コアを形成する壁を有する導波管であって、該中空コアを通じて光信号を導くように構成された導波管と、
前記導波管における1つの壁を貫いて形成された光タップと、
前記導波管の前記中空コア内のプリズムであって、前記光タップと位置合わせされたプリズムと、
前記光信号の一部を前記光タップを介して前記導波管の外側に導くための、前記プリズム上のスプリッタコーティング
とを備え、
前記プリズムが、
(i)ドーブプリズムであって、受光斜面上に前記スプリッタコーティングを有しており、及び、該ドーブプリズムを通過する光信号を、該ドーブプリズムの底面の内面から離れるように伝送ビームを反射することによって生じたウォークオフを利用することによって、前記導波管の中へと戻すように向け直すよう構成されていることからなる、ドーブプリズムであるか、或いは、
(ii)反転したドーブプリズムであって、該反転したドーブプリズムにおける反転した底面上に前記スプリッタコーティングを有しており、及び、該反転したドーブプリズムを通過する光信号を、該反転したドーブプリズムにおける該反転した底面の内面から離れるように伝送ビームを反射することによって生じたウォークオフを利用することによって、前記導波管の中へと戻すように向け直すよう構成されていることからなる、反転したドーブプリズムであるか、或いは、
(iii)三角プリズムであって、受光斜面上に前記スプリッタコーティングを有しており、及び、該三角プリズムを通過する光信号を、該三角プリズムの底面の内面から離れるように伝送ビームを反射することによって生じたウォークオフを利用することによって、前記導波管の中へと戻すように向け直すよう構成されていることからなる、三角プリズムであることからなる、光学スプリッタ装置。 - 前記ドーブプリズムは、該ドーブプリズムにおける出射斜面上に反射防止コーティングを有しており、及び、底面上において全内部反射特性を有するよう構成されていることからなる、請求項1に記載の光学スプリッタ装置。
- 前記反転したドーブプリズムは、該反転したドーブプリズムの入射斜面上と出射斜面上とに反射防止コーティングを有していることからなる、請求項1に記載の光学スプリッタ装置。
- 前記三角プリズムは、該三角プリズムにおける出射斜面上に反射防止コーティングを有しており、及び、底面上において全内部反射特性を有するよう構成されていることからなる、請求項1に記載の光学スプリッタ装置。
- 前記ドーブプリズムの前記底面と前記導波管の前記壁との間にエアギャップを更に含む、請求項2に記載の光学スプリッタ装置。
- 前記三角プリズムの前記底面と前記導波管の前記壁との間にエアギャップを更に含む、請求項4に記載の光学スプリッタ装置。
- 前記導波管がコヒーレント光ビームを導くよう構成されており、前記中空コアは、該コヒーレント光ビームの波長の約50〜150倍か又はそれ以上の直径か又は幅及び/又は高さを有していることからなる、請求項1乃至6の何れかに記載の光学スプリッタ装置。
